That was one thing I loved about stabilization was getting to "new" foods again. It made it really easy to not cheat at all, because I felt like I was cheating a little already when I would have something added back into my diet. I loved adding the yogurt, and still eat a dessert-flavored yogurt every night as my dessert treat...and I still feel like I'm totally indulging without having to turn to ice cream or cookies, etc. |
Teacherlady..
Belated Happy Birthday. I saw that mentioned on your blog. Love reading your blog. I agree with you about stabilization.. It is so much fun.. That is why I try to discourage anyone being nervous about going on.. It works, it really does.. There are so many new items being introduced, it takes away the cheating aspect of any diet.. Congrats to all the losers. Patzi |

Do you count calories daily at this point? |
Chickadee - Way to go on the loss. Slow and stead will win the race.
Tami - great job on getting the third menu. Losing on stabilization sounds amazing! |
Had a good weigh in today. Lost 2 pounds since Monday of the 4.5 pounds I gained over the last few weeks. I even ran yesterday! I can't believe I actually did it. The guys ran a bit faster than I would have liked. It was the first time in over 5 years that I ran and we did 1.37 miles in 17:17. That's 12:39 min/mile. Let's just say I was doing a lot of praying aloud at the end. ;)

I do log my food into an online program, but not for the calories, I want to check other things, like the carbs( big trigger for me) and the salt. I am off of HBP meds, and like to check that from time to time.. But no, I do not count calories. I just eat what I want, and if I am full, then stop eating. If you are full, try cutting down on the addition amount for the stabilization. If they say 1/2,try 1/4 and during all of this,if anything does not feel right please tell your consultant and have her handle it for you. I feel stabilization has to be done right,as that is the start for your maintenance which you will love.. I never feel guilty about anything I eat. Hope this helps, if not,ask away. Patzi |
JenB72 I was trying to message you with a question, but couldn't figure out how. I am new here and was wondering if you could let me know how to message you? I have a question about a previous thread. I am also a MRC client.

Hi Patzi:) Thank you for your information...just curious....do you still drink HNS daily? If so, how many? I sure hope I can eat peanut butter without too much of an issue!! I love it! This morning I mixed a 1/2 of a banana with my vanilla Greek yogurt and loved it!!

Okay, I need a little guidance/motivation. I really haven't eaten out much in the 3 months I've been with MRC...and when we do I've always been in control of picking places that have food I can eat OP. I've also, while not avoiding them, not encouraged social situations that are connected with them (well, I have pursposely skipped our last two church potlucks). Anyhow, today I'm supposed to meet a friend at BK for a playdate/lunch (they have a big kids play area). I've scoped out the menu and here are my options: 1) eat before I go, just have a diet soda while there, 2) a tendergrill sandwich with half the bun and no mayo (I wouldn't eat any other starch during the day and I usually get 3 servings), 3) a tendergrill salad (but I'm just really not a fan of salads at fast food places...iceburg lettuce makes me gag), 4) a veggie burger with half the bun.
Thoughts? |

Nwcgina,
I think I would do as Jen suggests. After all, it's not like you will be missing out on anything good. Or you could even bring your own. No one would care. And your friend knows you haven't lost your weight eating food like that! |
