Jen and Candi - Congrats!!!!
Things have been very crazy still, but are starting to slow down. I have not been exercising or sleeping enough, but eating has been OP. Plan to WI on Wednesday as usual. We've been enjoying many fresh salads and homemade salsa from our garden and we should have our first canteloupe later this week. I hope you all stay OP and don't give up . . . it may take a little longer than we want it to, but the weight will come off and it is worth the effort. Mariah |
Weight fluctuations are so bizarre! Yesterday, I weighed in at 145, Friday showed 143. Today, I hop on the scale and it says 142. I'll take it :) but geez, it can sure mess with your head :0
|
Candi - I am soooo excited for you! You are doing absolutely amazing. I can't wait until you sign your next board. :)
Little Edie - Oh, the joys of the teenage years. I remember mine and I'm dreading my daughter's because personality-wise, she's just like me. At 20 months, she is a VERY head strong little lady. Cute as a button, but, oh my! Drama city if she doesn't get her way. ;) Good luck tomorrow and let us know how it goes. Bigdog - As crazy as this may sound, is there another center in your area you can transfer to instead? It seems like this center may not be the one for you. I wish you could have the same experience that many of us have. My center, for example, is not pushy at all when it comes to drinks, supplements, etc. They let you know what's there, but, the decision is yours. They are wonderful and truely supportive. In today's economy, they need to understand that for many, money is tight. momoffour - Good luck tomorrow with your weigh in. You garden sounds delicious!!!! Raven59 - Scales can definitely mess with your head. I use it to keep me accountable. For me, the fluctuations help keep me on track. One day, I may do great, totally, completely, OP and then the next day, it may post a slight gain. Keeps me from getting too cocky, if you know what I mean. LOL That's why I trust my clothes more. The more loose they feel, even during a plateau, is what I go by. The clothes don't lie! :) Thanks for all the positive feedback, everyone!!! I'm hanging in there today, but in a complete funk. For the past 2 years, I've had the luxury of always having a family member look after my daughter. Yesterday was her first day of day care because family care is no longer possible and it's just tearing me up. She was crying for me when I left and I was in tears on the way to work. I hope it gets better, because I don't think either one of us can take more days like this. |
Sorry, Jen, that you're having to deal with the daycare trauma. I'm sure it will get better. I grew up going to daycare, and I had good experiences for the most part.
Having my own now, though, and being lucky enough to get to stay home, I can definitely understand how it would feel to leave him with "strangers." It will get better for both of you. In the meantime try not to stress eat. I have a real problem with that! Raven- The scales have been bouncing for me, too. I did everything right and went up 2 lbs. overnight (Sunday morning). Unfortunately, we had dinner guests Sunday night, and the scales messed with my head and frustrated me, and I didn't do nearly as well as I had planned. I wish the jump ups would give me extra motivation, but they just seem to frustrate me, and then I get the "why bother?" attitude. I have to work on that. Anyhow, I got right back OP on Monday, and I've lost it back. I just can't' seem to get past the 179-183 range. I've been stuck there since the beginning of the month, and I feel like I'm just treading water. My clothes are getting looser, though, so I suppose something is happening. |
Day 151... and stalled
1 Attachment(s)
Well, it's official.. I have stalled! I've been through "mini-stalls" where I've only lost a pound for the week but so far I haven't lost anything since Saturday! I guess on the upside, I only gained a 1/2lb during vacation and lost that plus another 1/2lb. So I'm stuck at 74.5lbs lost!
We did my measurements today and I've lost 11" in 30 days - which brings me up to 56"! The consultant was excited about this and said that even though my weight loss has stalled, I'm losing inches. She gave me some suggestions to try to push through this stall... I'm going to add another Trace Mineral (so 3/day instead of 2) and I'm going to eat berries as my lunch time fruit instead of oranges & apples. Definitely doable! I was so wanting to sign the 80lb board by the end of the month, but don't think I'm going to make it. Not giving up though! I still have 8 days! We also set a goal for this time in September - and that's to be at 240lbs. Which is 13.5lbs. :dizzy: I just have to stay focused and pray that I can do this. Anyway -- I hope everyone's crazy days get better! Seems like we are all a bit crazy lately. Have a great week! |
Well, today was has not been my day. I WI today and was up 3 POUNDS! I have never in my time at MRC gained 3 pounds. So upset. But I only have myself to blame. This has definitely shocked me back to focus better. I know the problem and now I need to fix it and fix it fast. I have been playing with the scales and the scales caught me. Friday at my WI I am gonna be back down and then some.
Congrats on everyone else's weight in. Keep up the good work. |
Candice-Can't wait to see your pics. And inches matter more than scale numbers! I know you can do this. You are incredibly strong and have wonderful willpower.
bigdog- Sorry you feel that you're being fleeced at your center. But good for you for standing your ground. coarkkayaker- I know what you mean by no one appreciating your weight loss. My husband ignores it and my kids are as self-involved as most teens are and only mention it if I wear some of my clothes that are way too big. But we're here for you! Mariah-So good to hear from you. I know how super busy you must be. It's awesome that you're staying under 190. Congratulations! [B]JenB[B]- I'm super proud of you for signing that 40 pound board. I have to admit though I thought when you mentioned a "visit from Irene" it was your coy way of referring to TOM. I know that really shows my age. I was clued in after Candice's reference to Irene also. I first thought "What a horrible time of month for these two nice ladies who uses phrases like my elderly aunt." tdktara84-My weight stayed the same for three weeks being OP and the scale did not move even though my rings and jeans felt looser. Today the scale dropped for the first time to 157. When I hopped back on the scale just to confirm it said 159 for the 4th week in a row. I changed my ticker but who knows what it will be tomorrow. I agree it's so frustrating. stone- You know what to do. You'll do fine on Friday! |

Oh boy.. When I had a TOM - I called it Aunt Flo :o I've been on Depo Provera for several years and now Implanon - so I don't have TOM anymore. Good luck with your re-join tomorrow! You'll get to your goal weight in no time! And we'll be here to help! |
I had maintenance weigh in and stayed the same, 5 pounds under goal, so I will take that.. I am weighing in Friday and next week am taking a week off from weighing in. First full week I have taken off from weigh in since I started.
Jen.. Congratulations on the signing of 40 pounds.. That is fantastic, be proud of yourself. Bigdog...Thanks for recipes. They look really good. Stone3973 You will make it as you said you know what you did, and will focus and get back on program. That is the key. Congratulations to all the winners, and those struggling, hang in there, it will all turn out for the best if you work the program. everyone have a wonderful evening. Patzi |
Well, at my WI yesterday, I had dropped 1.5lbs. I am happy about that...but then she mentioned that I should go from the "beige" menu to the "green." The main difference was 2 oz less protein per meal. I don't know about anyone else, but I was hungry sometimes on the "beige." I am not accustomed to no snacking throughout the day....and between lunch and dinner, having nothing was not easy for me.
Anyway, we are trying a new menu called "Meta Balance." Anyone familiar with this one? I did it today for the first time, and I think I really like it. When 5 oclock rolled around, dinner was the furthest thing from my mind when normally I already have it cooked and am eating!!! Anyway, if I can lose weight still with using this menu, it is a keeper for me I think! Anyone else try it before? Tami |

I'm not sure about Meta Balance but I know there are people on here that have done it. Doesn't it add in dairy and things like that? Good Luck with your new plan. |
