Congratulations to everyone! I lost another 2.5, which brings me up to 10 in 2 weeks. Its TTOM, too, so I didn't expect a loss at all since I usually stall or even gain. I'm excited for my next WI since that water weight should be gone.

It's nice to know that being hungry may lead to something nice. I've had the hardest time the last few days with craving things. I've been pretty good, but it's been rough. I don't know if it was PMS or my husband being on vacation (eating routine is out of whack, plus I have to cook for him twice a day instead of once). Hopefully next week will be easier once things go back to normal again.

You too, Jen.

Every little bit gets us closer to goal!

Good luck this morning, coarkkayaker!

I always draw encouragement when I see the losses everyone else has had. So I'm doubly glad when someone on here loses. It's so inspiring!

Thank you and I agree. Seeing everyone's losses helps keep me on track and motivated!

tkdtara84 That is an awesome loss!

coarkkayaker 07-13-2011 12:08 AM

Well, I had my WI. Bad news is that I didn't lose any, but good news is that I didn't gain any either. And I even got a bonus because we took measurements and I've lost 29.5 inches in a month! YEA!!!

patzi 07-13-2011 06:27 AM

coarkkayaker.. Ok to maintain for one week.. My goodness, great loss of inches in that short amount of time..

tkdtara84..Awsome lost in two weeks... If you are craving , bring up to consultant, she will go thru your journal with you to see if there is a trigger for it. So many times, my consultant has found something in my journal that I eliminated that took care of cravings, although TOM will do it.

Teacher lady, I am going thru up a few, then maintain on maintenance. I just go thru journal and eliminate the new item I tried, have tried Meta Quick and the blue menu.. and it has worked for me.. Are you right at goal, or did you give yourself a few pounds to play with here and there? I went 5 under goal. My consultant told me I was becoming too upset when I gained and I told her, yes, I am, as I don't want to get back to where I am having to be back OP . When I go up 2 pounds, something inside happens to me, hard to explain, but as long as I can get it off,I am fine. Hope you lose next weigh in what you gained.

Congratulations to all the losers.. Have a wonderful day.

Patzi

JenB72 07-13-2011 09:54 AM

Well, it seems like we're definitely a good influence on each other! So many losers!!!! ;) Keep up the great work losing & maintaining, Ladies! :cheer:
And like Little Edie, I love seeing the losses posted, too. Pounds and/or inches. Keep posting your achievements. What a great motivator for the rest of us!!!!

My goal was 191, and I got down to 188 by the end of stabilization, so I do have some room to play. My "healthy range of fluctuation" that we decided on was actually 190-198, so I'm still within/below that, as well. So, I'm not too upset about being up 2lbs (over a period of almost 2-3 weeks), but I want to make sure I don't gain more. So, I guess I'll just have to be a little more strict/careful this week.

I do have to say, though, that it is a lot easier when we have a little "breathing room" by being under goal!

JenB72 07-13-2011 01:24 PM

WI at lunch and down another pound since Monday. That makes 2.5 pounds for the week. :yay:

momoffour 07-13-2011 07:05 PM

Well it is official . . . I finally signed the 40 lb board. My body has been fighting this for a few weeks, so it felt really good to finally hit that goal. I am down 40.5 lbs total.

Contrats to all the losers and maintainers and just hang in there and stay OP, the weight will come off.

Mariah

victorialynn2 07-13-2011 09:26 PM

Congrats momoffour and all the other losers!

coarkkayaker 07-13-2011 11:42 PM

Jen - that victory just got 2.5 pounds closer. Outstanding!

Momoffour - You're an inspiration. Congratulations!

Dolly 07-14-2011 04:28 AM

That's wonderful, Mariah! 2.5 lbs. is a great loss!

JenB, ride the wave, girl.

teacherlady, can't wait to get some "breathing room." You look great. I hope the second phase of your plan comes to fruition this year.

patzi 07-14-2011 06:14 AM

Momoffour...
Yeah for you.. You are such an inspiration, Mariah.. You are so dedicated to your program and look where you are.. Happy you signed the board as I know how much this means to you.

Teacherlady..
Glad you have some breathing room.. My downfall is the carbs and some of the fats , like peanut butter. May I ask how many HNS you are taking on maintenance? I have come down to two, and one if I take a creamy. They want me to take 3, but I want to try and not take all that and am trying to wean off some of supplements and just eat real food only. Will let you know how I make out as time goes on.Only supplements I have ever taken is MRC-6,Cortitrim, Fat & Carb blocker, only when eating out and Phentatrim only if I feel a craving coming, and will get off that when bottle is gone, as I do not use that often.

Congrats to all the losers, and for any having a problem, stay OP, as I promise the weight will come off if you dedicate yourself to the plan.

Y'all have a nice day.

Patzi

Has anyone tried the super veggie/fruit powder? I was wondering if it was any good. Some people at my center really like the mint flavor and I am very hesitant to try this.

Goneforgood1128 07-14-2011 05:30 PM

Still on vacation here...I had a rough start at the beginning of the week. Actually really cheated for the first time by having a skinny margarita and some chips and salsa at a mexican restaurant. That was when my mindset was "I'm on vacation!" However, the smartest thing I did was bring my scale with me and as soon as I saw I was up 2 pounds from those choices...I got right back OP and have been doing much better the since. Now, those two pounds are gone again and I'm hoping to at least maintain for the rest of my vacation, since all of my meals are still out at restaurants. I have increased my water, so hopefully that will help with the extra sodium!

Congrats to all who have lost this week!

That is the smartest idea to bring the scale. I never would have thought of that, but I'm sure it would be a good dose of reality. I'm going to do that next time, and way to go getting right back OP. That's so tough to do on a vacation. I still feel like to really be celebrating or having a good time, etc. it must revolve around food.

It's those mexican restaurants! Great job using your restraint to pull yourself back in. I love mexican food and can't allow myself to go near the restaurants because my self dicipline shatters.

I tried the fruit flavored one mixed with an orange HNS today at the center. Very good! I am looking for protein alternative to eggs or cheese for breakfast. Some days I want something quick to drink. I could make a yummy smoothie with yogurt mixed in.

Patzi & Teacherlady .. What are you all eating for breakfasts on maintenance? Have either of you had whey protein or protein bars while on the diet? If so, which do you prefer?

Rzrbackcandi 07-15-2011 09:55 AM

Mariah - Congrats on signing the 40lb board!!!

Congrats to all the other "Losers" this week!

I feel like I have stalled this week. Not sure if I've lost anything. I've been exhausted every day but I've stayed OP. I'm hoping after my mom's follow up appointment, next week, she will be able to drive. I've had long days because I have to drop her off at the office, then come to my office. I get off at 5, she doesn't get off until 6. So I just go up there and wait and usually help her. But then I'm not getting home until after 7 on some nights when I'm usually home by 5:15. I can tell the difference of losing those 2 hours of relaxing evening time! Now it's, get home, get her situated and cook dinner. Clean the kitchen, watch a little tv and go to bed. There's no relaxing time! :(

Anyway - I will be going in for a WI last this morning. Not looking forward to it at all.

Hope everyone has a great weekend!

I do not use whey. I only have a protein MRC bar if I am away on business and cannot eat a decent breakfast or if I am on the Meta Quick for quick weight loss.
For breakfast I eat the following, toast, cinnamon toast, homemade turkey sausage patty egg beater or egg white omelet with veggies and soy cheese, sometimes 1/2 cup oatmeal, fruit.. I also make a pancake with FF Greek yogurt, oat bran, stevia, egg whites cinnamon and nutmeg, then pour some berry type HNS over it.. This morning I had sausage patty, toast with cinnamon, and 1 orange. I did have an HNS with breakfast this morning.
Hope this answers your question..

Patzi

patzi 07-15-2011 10:34 AM

I weighed in today for maintenance and I lost .6 pounds, so I am happy with that. I am still 5 pounds under goal, as a matter of fact 5 3/4 pounds under goal for a buffer zone.

Congratulations to all that lost weight and think thin...

Patzi

evinsmom 07-15-2011 11:34 AM

WOOOHOOOOO! I signed the 50 pound board today! I am only 17.5 pounds to goal, so I am beginning to struggle for every pound. But, hey, the struggle is worth it.

BTW, I haven't been in the 160s since I was 21 yrs old.

coarkkayaker 07-15-2011 11:42 AM

Which is better? Ground turkey or buffalo? I need to find something I can have with breakfest and was thinking about turkey sausage...but I've never tried it. Which do you like?

Rzrbackcandi 07-15-2011 01:01 PM

Went for my WI and I was down 2lbs so that's 2.5lbs this week! So thankful. Not as big of a loss as I'm used to... but I'll take it!

Patzi! You're rockin the maintenance! Keep up the great work!

Evinsmom - Congrats! Just think, when you sign the 60lb board.. You'll only have 7.5 to go! That's amazing!

coarkkayaker - If you're going to spend the money to buy ground buffalo, I prefer ground elk. But I know its hard to find. Don't get me wrong, buffalo is good but I like the texture/consistency of elk better. As for turkey sausage - don't buy the stuff at the store, it contains dark meat and other things. I'm actually going to make the homemade turkey sausage this weekend. I tried it at the center and it was delicious!

Dolly 07-15-2011 01:05 PM

Way to go, evinsmom!!

coarkkayaker--I like turkey better. It tastes lighter and not so "earthy."

Patzi--that's great news. I know you have a hectic job, but I think you would make a great MRC counselor. I'm thinking of the clients who are challenged and need solutions. I can see you following up with them and making great solutions.

Actually JenB and Candice would be great at this too--if only for their perpetual optimism.

Candice, I know you're a little worried about the next weigh-in (and this is rare for you) but you might be pleasantly surprised. You're staying OP so maybe metabolic science will do it's work while you are busy with your mother.
I miss my mother everyday but I do understand the "me" time. Hang in there, girlfriend.

RaRaF 07-15-2011 01:40 PM

Hi ladies--I haven't been to WI yet this week. (I'm 45 min. away from my center, so it's usually an "ordeal" to get there--I'm at once a week right now) Anyway--I'm worried--I've been OP all week, better than ever, really, and my home scale doesn't show a loss AT ALL. AND--I'm going to have to get there later this afternoon, after I've had a lot of my water, etc. so I'm sure that will not be good either. (right now I'm waiting on a client to arrive, then I'll be able to leave) UGH--I'm frustrated, can ya tell? lol

luvs2read79 07-15-2011 01:52 PM

Hello

Evinsmom - congrats! I can't wait to sign the 10 lb board!

Candi - congrats on your 2.5 lb loss this week. I went in on Wednesday after returning from my conference and I was down .5 lbs but it kind of bummed me out. I really tried to follow the program as much as possible and I got in so much walking that I was hoping for more. Especially since I just started and have SOOOOOOO much to lose.

But I didn't give up. I didn't lose my mind and eat like I would have in the past.

Things I do have to be proud of:

*I ate at the Cheesecake Factory twice and did not seriously consider the cheesecake.

*My co-workers, who are really sweet people, they don't understand my struggle, but I resisted "peer pressure" in regards to having drinks with them.

*I went by Publix and purchased some ground buffalo and actually cooked yesterday! I know how to cook, but I just don't much. I made the turkey chili, buffaloaf with LOTS of veggies, and have a pork tenderloin in the crockpot so I'll have on program choices available.

coarkkayaker --I wasn't completely in love with the ground buffalo, but I'm going to eat it because it is so frickin' expensive.

Today was my daughter's last day of swimming lessons and her dad recorded us in the water. I *hate* the way I look, so instead of being depressed about it, I'm going to use that as motivation and hit the walking trail today if the weather allows and use my Walk Away the Pounds DVD if it doesn't.

lostcause 07-15-2011 02:27 PM

I did it! I am below the 200. Yeah me! Next get below half way mark.

ConnieInColorado 07-15-2011 02:40 PM

Congrats on all the GREAT work everyone!!

As for me.....my PMS caught up to me......I was up 1 lb at weigh-in this morning!! I realize it should come off once my period actually starts, but it still bummed me out to see the gain.

Thanks luvs2read! You should not be bummed at all about the WI. Going to the Cheesecake Factory and NOT eating Cheesecake or even a bite.. HUGE Accomplishment! We don't have a Cheesecake Factory around here but I'm going up to Kansas City at the end of August and this will probably be the place I go to. If not there then it'll be PF Changs or something! But every day makes us stronger!

And I know how you feel about having SOOOO much weight to lose! 3 1/2 months ago with the consultant said I would lose 74lbs by September - I laughed at her and said "yeah right!". Well... 62.5 pounds later and still about 2 months to go before my first official end date.. I'm pretty darn excited! This program DOES work. I will have to re-enroll to finish losing all my weight but I'm good with that. I know it's been hard for me with the $$$ but I'm going to make it work! I HAVE to make it work!

Little Edie - thanks for your compliment! That's sweet of you  I was in the lobby waiting for my WI and another memeber asked me how long I had been on program. Then the consultant said - this is her up here on the wall and pointed at my "rocket ship" picture. Then gave her my top 10 print out. The member read a little and said - wow! you are amazing! I think you should work here and if you did work here, I would request you every time!

That made me feel really absolutely wonderful :) And I would probably consider it - but I don't think they could pay me what I'm making now. Maybe later in life, I will. For now, I love reading everyone's stories and sharing mine.

I hope everyone has a great weekend! I'm going to relax and do some cleaning.

JenB72 07-15-2011 04:57 PM

Goneforgood - Great idea about the scale. I may have to do that myself.

Candi - Sometimes, there are things in life a little more important than the scale. Taking care of your mom ranks up there. It's a small price to pay to ensure she is well. You are being an awesome daughter!

Patzi - Congrats on maintaining the cushion! You make it look so easy. :)

Evinsmom - Congrats on the 50 pound board!!!! :woohoo:

Little Edie - Thanks for bringing a smile to my face. Some days are easy, others are hard. But the point is to keep chugging away. :)

RaRaF - Good luck, girl!!!!!

luvs2read79 - If taking the program a day at a time is too much, try just a meal at at time. It will eventually add up. You CAN do this!!!

lostcause - Welcome to ONE-derland!!!

ConnieInColorado - I was told to up my B6 during PMS time to help with water retention. Worth a shot. Hang in there!

It's Friday!!!! It's 5:00!!!! I'm going home!!!! :cheer:

I usually have one of the following breakfasts:

1 egg & cheese
toast
dannon light & fit yogurt w/ fruit
1/2 serving strawberries
OR
cheese
saltines
dannon light & fit yogurt w/fruit
1/2 serving of strawberries
OR
cottage cheese
fruit (usually peaches)
milk
toast

WHen I'm in a hurry, I'll grab an Atkins bar. I like the dark chocolate chip granola one. If I can, I'll still include a glass of milk with the bar (depends on how big of a hurry I'm in, lol).

luvs2read79 07-15-2011 09:59 PM

2.5 lb and 16 inches!

I went to weigh-in this evening and I'm down 2.5 lbs and I had my measurements done tonight (I thought it would be after a month, but I was excited to see if I'd lost any inches after 2 weeks) and I've lost 16 inches. A different girl measured me and I'll take the 16 inches with a grain of salt (she said I lost 6 inches around my shoulders and I highly doubt that). But other places, I'm inclined to maybe agree...

This board really helps me to stay motivated, to read your stories and receive your words of encouragement, get ideas, it is all priceless. No one else in my house is on the plan...my mom has made macaroni and cheese (my WEAKNESS but I DID NOT TOUCH IT :D) and a peach pie (which I nibbled on day 2) so sometimes it feels overwhelming and grossly unfair. But I look forward to logging on and reading this board.

chasing skinny 07-16-2011 11:24 AM

I am officially down 20 lbs exactly!!! Now, I must behave the next 2 weeks!! My goal was to lose 10 lbs a month, and tomorrow is 2 months, so I am very excited!!

brandy8188 07-16-2011 12:20 PM

That's so awesome-chasing skinny. I hope I can be successful too.

JenB72 07-16-2011 01:12 PM

luvs2read79 & chasing skinny - Congrats!!! I'm thrilled for you both!!!! :cheer:

ginpea 07-16-2011 07:50 PM

I went for a weigh-in today and will admit that I was disappointed to see just one pound gone. I know, a pound lost is a pound less than I was, but I was hoping for more! I've not cheated or gone off program not once since July 4th, so I was really expecting more results.

To keep the discouragement at bay, I switched my focus to the fact that I've lost 6.5 pounds in two weeks.

Did anyone else have a slow start??

My friend, on the other hand, lost nine pounds this week! I am very happy for her!

patzi 07-16-2011 09:00 PM

Ginpea...
My whole weight loss was slow, but I got there. I think 6.5 pounds in two weeks is a good weight loss.. The 9 pounds is quite unusual, I would think. The most I heard of anyone losing is 7 pounds in a week, unless they were on that program we are not allowed to talk about.

Chasing skinny.. Congratulations on reaching what you set for a goal. That is such a great thing. Happy for you.

luvs2read79.... Good weight and inch loss..

I know I did not mention everyone that lost, but I am happy for all of you..

Candi.. My thoughts are with you and your Mom. My sister and I have both been thru this, and you are a wonderful and amazing daughter.. Hang in there.

Patzi
