  • Quote: I am new to the forum. I just joined MRC so I am just starting the pre-conditioning. I am diabetic and doing this to hopefully get myself off of my meds and control my diabetis with diet and exercise. I have to be totally honest and say that I am somewhat aprehensive about the whole program. I am really concerned about how I am going to be able to eat so little and not have my blood sugar go low. Right now my bs levels are doing very well. I am not on insulin but do take Actosplusmet and Victoza. Does anyone else have any experience on the program while being diabetic? I would love to hear if you have had any problems. I have a million questions about the program, but for now that is the big one. One other question would be when did you start seeing the weight loss? Can I expect to see loss during pre-conditioning? Thanks for the information.
I'm not diabetic either but wanted to say welcome! All of MRC plans are designed to help control our hormone levels, including insulin so I think you will be pleasantly surprised at your blood sugar control while on program.

  • Quote: Just getting a chance to update. Went to my weigh in this am. Lost another 2.5lbs! Small pleasures...LOL...Anyway that makes me at 12.5 total so far. I'm starting to get comments, "Somethings different, did you cut your hair?"..things like that..No-ones said anything about weight loss unless its my closest friends/family who knows what i'm up to. Who cares! I'm gonna do this!
Congrats on your loss. . . I kind of enjoy the time before anyone knows that I am trying to lose weight, it's like my little secret.

Yes, I like not letting anyone know what I'm doing... sometimes it's good and sometimes not... took about a month before anyone really started to notice, but that's ok. I need to do this for me and keep it off so I'm also glad to not have the pressure of everyone knowing!
  • I'm going to weigh in tomorrow... wonder if I've gotten past this 39.5 hump... most of it has been my fault, but here's to hoping I lose. It is so so easy to eat. I constantly think about what my next meal will be like and when will it be. Does anyone else have these kinds of problems?! Sometimes I feel like a nutcase... I guess this is what addiction is. :*( I have to constantly remind myself I'm really NOT hungry. This has been a very postitive thing to MRC. If I'm keeping OP, I really have no hunger pains other than what's in my head.
  • Good Morning Beautiful People!

Just wanted to say thanks to the parties that be for giving us a platform to share our accomplishments with someone/others who appreciates the efforts we're putting forth to improve ourselves. I feel like we're a long line of people holding hands...and if one of us stubles..all the others are there to lift you back up. OK, Kumbaya.
  • Quote: No one said anything to me until about 25 pounds, and then it was just people I hadn't seen in several months who said I looked like I'd lost a little (some thought just 5 or 10 pounds). Even the people who see me weekly don't seem to notice my (now almost 35 pound) loss. Don't sweat it. You might be like me and lose all over instead of in one particular area, which makes weight loss far less noticeable. But, it's still happening!
thanks ... this helps a lot
  • Quote: That said, exercise that "no muscle", I know you can do this! Fill the skin with warm soapy water and immediately drop all utinsils in without licking!

This is exactly what I did! Hubby was mad that he didn't get a lick either! ha! So I let him have one of the lemon cupcakes I made. He usually hates things that are not chocolate...and when he loved them it was so hard not to grab one too! They must have been super good for him to love them! Oh well....I will just let the rest of my family enjoy them! I'm not eating them!

That's awesome! That "no muscle" is getting stronger every time we work it out.

  • WI this morning as planned and lost the 2 lbs that I had "gained" on Thursday. This was a crazy week and I think it is amazing that I "broke even". I have been OP for the last 2 days with food, timing and water, though I am a bit sleep deprived and plan to get to bed early tonight. My exercise has been very limited, but I am headed to the gym in a few minutes. I have a plan for tomorrow and the upcomping week and I hope to show a loss on Tuesday when I WI next.

  • I'm at work and today is very slow (I do marketing at a car dealership...but if no one gives me work, I have nothing to do) and I was feeling pity party-ish that I couldn't eat my cupcakes (even though I was so proud of myself for not earlier! ha! oh the emotional eating!).

So I went through my Facebook pics and made a "look how far I've come" collage so I stay strong! Thought I would share. Make your own...its neat to watch yourself change!http://4.bp.blogspot.com/-QyI2Yu-Bfb...0/brittney.jpg

Welcome to our forum, enniecat!!! Get ready for the journey of your life! You won't regret it!

  • Well, I hit a mini-goal that I had made for myself. I wanted to be in the 170's by Easter. When I weighed myself this morning, the scale said 179.8! I'll take it. Not sure what it will read on the center's scales, but for me, this is a huge motivator.
  • Quote: i have lost 25lbs and yet no one comments on my weight loss....
I'm right there with you - even my boyfriend hasn't said anything. I went to weigh in this morning and he said, "how did you do?" and I was like I lost 25.5 lbs and 27 inches in a little over 2 months. And he was like, "WOW, that's a lot."

Of course I'm accused of reading too much into things .. but he said WOW like .. "it doesn't look like it"

I'm terribly self-critical and an overachiever... so losing .5 lb this morning was more than frustrating and I'm sure I read too much into his comment.

Don't worry about what others do or don't say - just keep trucking!!
  • Quote: You're doing a great job! I think everyone processes things differently. I have just had so much stored fat for such a long time.. Plus I'm taking pretty much all the supplements. I'm hoping I can cut back on some but want to lose another 20 or so before I start playing around with that.

    Keep up the great work!
Thanks for the kudos. I just want to thank you for talking about the Krill.. I went ahead and asked about it today while I was weighing in and she told me I was definitely not taking enough fish oil (only 2, supposed to be 6) - and she said that the Krill was one pill a day!

Amazingly for our April promo - if you weigh in at least twice a week, or attend class, or bring your food diary you get a bead - and after 3 beads you get to pick an egg out of the basket...today I pulled out a $25 in metabucks so I bought the Krill!

I am hoping this is the last adjustment I have to make, and that I start dropping some pounds now!
  • Trying to plan ahead for tomorrow's Easter dinner and was wondering if anyone knew if Jenny O's Turkey Ham was OP?
