CONCLUSION!
I weighed in today and lost another pound and a half, bringing this week's total to 2 pounds. While it's not anything way over the top, I'VE LOST THE SAME AMOUNT OF POUNDS IN THE LAST TWO WEEKS THAT I DID THE ENTIRE MONTH OF MARCH! That's right!
For those of you following along at home, I lost 4 pounds in March. That's it. Just 4. I went completely off-plan for 24 hours then right back onto the menu. Since then, I've been losing 2 pounds exactly each week.
The hardest part has been making myself stay on plan since then. I've got cravings all over again (which could be due to my TOM) and I've found it difficult to get back into the game mentally. But, for those of you who've fallen off the wagon, AS LONG AS YOU GET RIGHT BACK ON, you should be fine. So, don't stress.
I really hope this helps someone besides just me. I'm thrilled with the results of this and know now that I can control my eating. Ladies, you're an inspiration, and I'm soooooooooooo glad you're here. Thanks for cheering me on during this "interesting" time Now, off to change my ticker weight!

Congrats on the breakthrough!!! Keep on trucking!!!

I'm thrilled this worked for you and I think it will be of benefit to others. I think the biggest dange for me is that I would have a hard time going back on plan and think it is very admirable that you were able to get right back on plan.
Thanks, you guys!
I should also mention that I'm still on TOM, so still bloated AND I came home and immediately went to the bathroom, where I dropped another pound (sorry, T.M.I., but still!).
So, I figure Monday's weigh-in will be a couple pounds down again. I LOVE this! Maybe I'll actually make goal at this rate!!! Yippee!!!!
Thanks, you guys!

Alrighty, everyone, here's the deal. Apparently I misunderstood one lady at my center on Friday. I mentioned going to the yellow and blue menus for a bit to see if that would help. She told me she'd put them in my folder for Monday if I hadn't lost. However, I had a different woman today and she said that the notes on my folder indicated that the consultant from Friday had been against the plan to do yellow and blue, which made me sound like a liar. Not happy about that...AT ALL!
So, I'm taking matters into my own hands. I'm not going to make goal in time anyway, so for all of you who wondered if going completely off-plan for a bit would jumpstart your loss, I'm about to offer up my body for the experiment. What have I got to lose?
1. I had Chinese for lunch - I ate chicken, broccoli, and green beans, which is sort of on plan, but of course the sauces would not be.
2. I ate 3 slices of cheese pizza for supper, and I dipped my crusts in nacho sauce.
3. I'm eating red velvet cake mix and chocolate chips right now.
***WARNING***: So far, this has not been anywhere near as pleasant as I'd anticipated. Plus, my stomach hasn't felt uncomfortably full since January, but I'm pushing it right now.
I'll keep you all up-to-date as far as any results, etc. Just know that so far, this off-plan-eating is sub-par as far as excitement. I don't think I can do it for 2 days.
Kind of curious how all this worked out for you....updates?
I'm still losing 2 pounds per week without being 100% on plan. But, it slowed down 1.5 pounds last week, so I've promised myself to be completely recommitted to this program. I'm only weighing in once per week now, so I'll see how things progress on Friday, but it's going REALLY well so far!
It's so fantastic to know that I can eat the occasional piece of cake and have some candy every now and again without destroying my progress. Plus, I find that each time I go off-plan, it gets easier and easier to get back on. Go figure. I guess my brain is finally realizing that eating healthy feels best and that treats are only for special occasions.

So Ashley can you give some more details on your off-plan eating? I want to know are you going off plan say every Thursday and then back on Friday? Are you doing it the same day every week? Has it only been a week since you tried it?

To jumpstart things, I went off-plan for just 24 hours around the first week of April. And by off-plan, I mean WAAAAYYYY off. I didn't take any HNS and everything I ate was off-plan. I was honestly afraid that going for longer than 24 hours would push me so far off track that I'd never be able to get back on.
But, I was (not completely, but pretty severely) off-plan this past Saturday and Sunday. Really, it was about 36 hours. Of course there was the initial water-weight bloat for a day, but drinking loads of water and eating 100% on plan starting Monday seemed to do the trick. My weight is continuing to drop on a daily basis according to my home scale.
I wasn't planning on going off-plan again, but the ladies at my center readjusted my goal weight and now want me to lose an extra 5 or 10 pounds. Boo! I really feel like that would make me look icky. Even my husband, who's like Mr. Fitness and all six-packy, said he thought that was too much to lose. So, when I only lost 1.5 pounds last week, I decided to jump ship again. But, I'm back OP now, and hopefully I won't need to do it again.
I think going off-plan more than one time every 3 or 4 weeks may be a bit counter-productive. I wouldn't do it every week. I just had to do something, since my center was anything but proactive. Now I know what I need to do and what works for me, even if my center doesn't have any good ideas.
Well, friends, my weight loss has stalled once again. I tried going off-plan for a day, but I didn't lose any more (didn't gain, either, though ). I asked if I could stabilize where I am (16.5 pounds from my original goal) since I'm quite pleased and look and feel healthy, but I was told it wasn't allowed. I find this hard to believe, but whatevs.
I'm not signing up for more weeks, as I don't feel my center has been terribly helpful. They said they've adjusted my original goal and now want me to lose 22 more pounds - no thanks. Plus, they still said they didn't want me to switch to another menu, and when I ask, they say, "Let's just keep doing what you're doing." See what I mean about not being helpful?
But, I bought more boxes of HNS and will continue on my own. I find much more support here, anyway! My contract officially runs out on May 9th, but I'm going to ask if I can come back WHEN (not if) I reach my goal so I can stabilize with the program. I would really just like the use of their fancy scale
Do any of you know how one does stabilization on her own, since I'm pretty sure I won't be allowed back without paying?
Hoping for the best for each and every one of us! WE CAN DO THIS!
I plan on getting within 15 pounds of goal and then joining specifically for their expertise in stabilization.
Just based on Patzi's experience, it seems too tricky to try to guess what would work.
I wonder if you can find a sympathetic counselor who will prep you for stabilization before your contract runs out. Is there someone who works at your center whom you haven't met with yet?
