Default Great news!

Hi friends!

Last week, I shared that I was having an MRI done on my liver. Today, I received the results back and it turns out I have a hemangioma on my liver. That's basically like a birthmark. who knew? It's causing some benign (but uncomfortable) symptoms, so I'm meeting with a surgeon, but it won't cause HEALTH problems. YAY!

Also, I received my maintenance menu today. I will be on the 1500 calorie menu. There are a lot more starch choices (rice, couscous, dry cereal, sweet potato, pasta) and protein choices (peanut butter, tofu, turkey hot dogs) and fat choices (avocado, cream cheese, pumpkin seeds, etc). You basically get a certain number of servings of each of these per day, suggested. I'm going to try to stick closely to the schedule I'm on now until things settle in. Too many big changes and I might go nuts. I did buy a bag of individually wrapped 78% cocoa chocolates. I figured on days where I've worked out 2.5 hours, I can have .5oz of chocolate.

Love to all,

Yay for no big health issues!

And I'm glad to know that the maintenance menu is more like eating "in real life." I can handle more choices....and now I have something to look forward to!

That is wonderful news, so glad it is just a birthmark. I am sure you are relieved.

So glad to hear peanut butter is on maintenance, I miss it! So, now I have something to look forward to!

congrats, Deb, I know how your feeling, I'm only half way there, and I think about maintenance all the time. I can't imagine adding things without gaining, or not taking the supplements. So it will be nice/informational to see how you do. Good Luck, for all of us!

Yes, I'm done with stabilization. I lost 6lbs during stabilization, but my weight settled in quite nicely at 155. I actually think that after a few months, I may try to gain some back (5-10lbs), mostly in the form of lean muscle through extra protein. I'm definitely on the thin side of comfortable - BMI at 20 and my clothes are hanging on me. Nice problem to have - not complaining!
