Oh and about the creamy question...my center told me NO CREAMIES, bc the one you are allowed a day is the shake you have for either breakfast or lunch. I have a carmel nut meal bar (which is YUMMY, tastes like a snickers) for breakfast and a shake for lunch, and a small dinner. Well thank you for all your input, and I hope for you all that are starting the MQ that you do great~!
GREAT JOB!! I hope when I go weigh in on Thursday I have similar success!!

When do you go on the quick menu? (newbie here) Do you ask for this menu or do they give it to you when you stop losing for a couple weeks? Or to jumpstart a new menu? Just wondering! I'm only on the Yellow menu Day 4, so I'm pretty early in the game.

After hearing about it on here, I just asked about it the next time I went in and was given the menu. For me it wasn't necessarily that I stopped losing, but I was looking for something that was easy and required little planning.
Welcome and good luck!!

Congrats Skinnysissa! Happy to hear metaquick is a success for you! I'll have to ask my center again about the creamies, I thought it said on the sheet they're allowed

For everyone else who was asking, you're allowed to do metaquick for up to 7 days every 30 days, and only after you've been on program a month.

it's great if you're tired of prepping meals and need a break. The first one was rough for me, I really felt like i was on a "diet" but now i'm used to it.

Well I started MRC in Feb. and I haven't lost weight in a couple weeks. My center gave the menu to me to boost my metabolism back up. Ask your center about it, and they can guide you on when you should try it.

Well I am disappointed..... very. I went to weigh in today (Monday) and lost 1/2 pound. Last w/i was Thursday last week I was down 1 pound after having lost nothing on last Monday.
I did the metaquick menu starting Monday last week for 7 days and my total loss for the 'quick' week is a whopping 1.5 pounds!! I really was thinking after I was going to have a great weight loss. I never wavered from the menu so not really sure what has happened.
I suppose this is one of those dreaded 'plateaus'. I know that we are suppose to welcome them, but quite honestly I stayed on program 100% and was not expecting these results.
I keep telling myself that the scale HAS TO catch up to my efforts, but it simply isn't happening. I wish I could have a glimpse of the future looking back on these challenges and know that I can do this. I have tried to stay optimistic these last couple weeks and need to stay focused. I don't want to fail at this..... I want to believe that I can and will lose this weight!
Thanks for letting me vent.

I'm sorry to hear you're so disappointed, I've been there too and it's no fun! Not everyone loses well during the week of metaquick, some people do better the week after and for others it's not a big difference from the usual menu. Did your ketosis strip turn pink? For me, metaquick is the only thing that makes my strip super pink and then I spend the rest of the month trying to prolong that as much as possible.

I hope you lose more this week!

I did Metaquick last week too and didn't have a loss.. I stayed the same. I've stayed the same for the last 3 weeks.. I guess it's the plateau too. Our bodies will catch up.. Hang in there. I'm back on the regular menu this week. Trying to max out my HNS and water.. Hopefully I'll have a loss this week.

Wendi,

That really sucks about your 1.5 pound loss from last week. I know you must be frustrated. When do you weigh in again? I hope you see better results in the coming weeks. It's hard when you follow the program exactly and don't see the results you think you deserve to have.

Metquick is a funny thing... it works for some, not for others. I used to do it quite a bit (for convenience with my work schedule) and I didn't lose any more than usual and sometimes not at all. For me, it was a matter of carb sensitivity. The shakes (which I used as I didn't find the bars to be filling) have way too many carbs in them for my body and totally take it out of ketosis.

Plateaus suck but if you just hang in there, your body will work through it.

Thanks for the words of encouragement ladies. I woke today with a positive attitude which sure helps. I plan to w/i on thursday so I will let you know how I do with regard to the scale. I am going to have lots of fish this week and no red meat and see if that will help some.
I am so thankful for this forum and all of you.
