Default 10 day update

My total loss for my first 10 days on program was 9.5, I was so scared stepping on the scale this time since we went out twice for my DH's birthday this past week, I would have been happy with a 1 pound loss, but I lost another 2 pounds from Thursday. I am excited to start the green menu tomorrow and open up my choices, I even picked up the cookbook.

Thumbs up

That is truly amazing!! What menu were you on to start if not the green? Do you mind sharing some of your basic meals as you really lost a lot! How badly did you cheat when you went out for DH birthday? I love cheese and was told after the fact that having cheese every day could slow down my weight loss. You are doing great!

Congrats on the loss!

Was that on pre-conditioning or another menu? I'm a newbie too... From what I've been reading about the other gals on here, you may be in for a plateau now, so just be prepared so you won't be discouraged. It also sounds like you can have a lot of inch loss during those plateaus too, so you can use those as motivation. I was glad that I read about everyone's plateaus, so that I won't be too frustrated/worried when they come. Then again, you could be super woman and keep dropping like crazy!

I started on the yellow menu, I did cheat a little with a bite here or there of non program foods the first couple days, but after the 3rd day I started making a goals to myself to make it through certain parts of the day without cheating. I have always wanted to snack a lot around 4 in the afternoon, and that's when my kids get home from school and eat snack as well, so that has been the toughest part of the day for me, but I am do good at not sneaking bites of their food now. On the yellow menu I would eat pepper jack cheese most of the time for my cheese of choice. Blue menu I ate either orange or cantaloupe for my fruit and then varied b/t the cheese or an egg, I just tried to not have one of those 2 days in a row, I would eat the opposite the following morning. For meats I ate either white fish, not tuna, or chicken for most meals, but I did have steak twice in the 10 days, lots of lettuce, broccoli, zucchini, yellow squash, and asparagus. The veggies have been the toughest for me to eat, I choke them down 1/2 the time. As for when we ate out, the first night I ordered chicken fajitas and ate only some chicken and green peppers, and downed a ton of water after because I could tell there was a lot of salt in the chicken, for the second time I ate broccoli, and a filet, and once again, downed the water before and after b/c of the added sodium.

I am actually hoping for a plateau now, just to make sure that I am losing at a healthy weight, but hopefully it still continues to come off pretty easy.
