I still haven't lost all the weight they wanted me to, so I might re-up again. I am losing the weight, I think this is a good lifestyle change that I can keep to, and I want to do the maintenance at MRC so I won't gain back the weight. Try another round and see if you do better.

I just refuse to pay their outrageous fees!! I've got the program down and I went to GNC today; found a chocolate protein drink that I'll use instead of the HNS and I'll be fine. I'm VERY serious about losing the weight and I can weigh myself once a week without it costing a fortune!!
Will you this forum for support

I can totally feel this weight loss too...funny how water weight can make you feel HUGE...guess thats why we call it bloating, right?

Nice WI :carrot:

If you are talking about the Connections Class our topics our: (I don't know if it varies by ctr)
coping with changes, understanding emotional eating, addictions & food, regulating emotions, mindfulness & eating, coping w/stree, establishing boundaries & control, self esteem self image & weight, health aging hormones & metabolism

I personally enjoy these classes b/c they are not taught by the MRC consultants, but by a licensed therapist (at least my ctr). The classes give you a time to speak with other people from your center & also some venting time & lots of really good tips from the therapist. I hope this helps. :)

Our center is in between therapists right now, but the classes I attended were great! I got a lot out of them. I hope they hurry up and find a new therapist, hopefully a good one!

What a day.. I was having a really bad day at the office.. But decided to weigh in anyway.. Boy am I glad I did. another 3lbs gone, 54 inches and got to sign the 40 lb Board.. Waaahoooo.. Finally the scale is moving.

She showed me on the Tanita thing, that even if the scale wasn't moving in Feb that I'd lost 15 lbs of fat last month.

Hang in there all..

I thought for sure last Friday I was going to sign the 20lb board, but didn't. The consultant at my center told me that I could have HuHot Mongolian grill several times a week with 5 ladles of sauce and that even she did it. Well, I listened to her and went five times went to weigh in last Friday and had gained .5lbs. I was then told that wasn't a good choice because of the sodium. I totalled it upand from that alone I had consumed more than 15,000mg of sodium and they said I was probably retaining water and should have a big lose this week. Well not so far and I drunk 120oz of water everyday since Friday. i work 40 minutes on average a night doing my recumbant bike. I don't know how to get more off. What should I do? The consultant said I should try enhancer, but I think they just want me to spend more money!!!! Please help!!! I do know that I am not going to give up. I haven't went off plan and I am not going to!!!!!

Blkbeautylosing,

I know its hard but you are doing really well. Do the maximum number of HNS your program allows. Some people on here have also said to take the concentrate packets without water. Yes just drink it right out of the pouch. Next time you go to weigh in make the counselors work for their money. Have them truly take a good look at what your eating and how you are preparing food.

The way I was cooking caught up with me. I misread the I can't believe its not butter label and thought I could do 10 squirts instead of 5. Or using a few extra squirts of spritzer than the standard 10. Also, I was taking in more safflower oil than I was supposed to because I **sigh** (and shaking my head) read an article in a magazine promoting using it to decrease inches quickly. Yeah didn't really work to well for me...January was a pretty screwed up month for me for weight loss. It took 2 months for little cheats like this and going off program by eating popcorn at the movies, or eating cake for a birthday etc.

Also vary your workouts. Maybe do the bike 3x a week and do another activity the other 2x a week. I'm learning you need to create muscle confusion for your body. Your body needs to be consistently challenged because it doesn't take the body long to remember exercises. I am crudely explaining, I believe I have heard this from trainers Tony Horton and Shawn T.

Plus maybe you are hitting an early plateau. Regardless, make that center work for you. Since the employees have all been on the program I would seek out the ones who have lost the most and have consultations with them. Sometimes its easier to talk with someone who situation is/was closer to yours. Not to sound confusing but what I mean is some one who just had 20 lbs to lose on the program has different struggles than someone who lost 100 lbs on the program.

I hope this helps and keep your head up miss ma'am. You'll find a way to break through.

That's interesting .... when i was going to the center, i asked the consultant and she said that they were all required to "taste" the products, but that only two of them (director and assistant) had done the program. That must vary center to center.

And Meezoo --- Yippee!!!!:carrot:

At my center in Bellevue, Nebraska, all the consultants have been on the program. I thought that was the case with all of the centers. Here's a catch though I spoke with to consultants and I asked how much they lost they said 20 lbs. I think 1-2 may have done it maybe it was a prerequist (sorry for the misspell) to do the job.

Hvnlymzic 03-04-2010 05:40 PM

Thanks for the congrats everyone! I feel great! :) I'm really wanting to go shopping this weekend and get a new pair of jeans. Mine are ridiculous and I seem to not have a pair in this size...hubby thinks its b/c last time I was this size (my last time OP), it was summer and I only have capris in that size. Well too cold for capris yet. So jeans shopping we go. :)

Last time I was OP I was offered a job with MRC by the district manager of my area. She was really nice and at the time I didn't need a job. I'm also quite sure I couldn't push the pills like they'd want me too. But at that time i'd lost 75lbs with them and would have been a great spokesperson I'm sure. :) I think all of the consultants in my office eat OP or at least in the maintenance side of it since none of them are overweight.

Try Vitamin B-6....that's what my counselor told me would help with water retention. I take two a day - seems to be working fine.
