  • Aww...Thanks Deb! You're right of course...it's a new day...and so far all OP. I HATE when I've been off and the next few days I'm starving all the time. Cravings and hunger...it sucks. I'll get through it...I'm so ready to feel better that I know it's not worth it to give in even a little bit.

I'm not one to freak out about anything...even this gain (it was a couple pounds i think) didn't really phase me as I was expecting it. Plus, I'm at the point with my body that I can feel the difference. And...I finally bought jeans that fit and they're snug until i dump this weight back off. Couple pounds in jeans that were already barely fitting is a very noticable thing. So I knew I wasn't gonna ahve a good WI. Oh well. I've had worse Next week will be great. I wouldn't have said anything about the gain at all other than for the fact that I like having this group for a little accountability. Everyone in my life is super balanced about my progression...very supportive when I lose and very supportive when I don't. Saying it here, I know that I'll be telling people that I know understand what I'm feeling and will respond just as Deb did Thanks again Deb.

I had a great day today. Had a playdate with some other moms and ran around a gymnastics place chasing my 18mo old...he had a blast and I was up moving...thats a good thing.

    Hvnlymzic,
Deb is right.....Look at what you've already accomplished. (great Pic by the way) This journey has got to work with the rest of your life. You can't do anything about what's past but you have complete control over the future.
Tomorrow is another OP day. You can do it. You already know the plan works.
About the pills and suppliments...I have some of those fears.....I bought them all, and was successful at losing the weight in the contract time. I'm now on week 5 of stabilization and I'm wondering wha'ts going to happen when I gain a few pounds on maintenance....I don't want to take more pills every time I need to loose a few pounds. Got to learn to maintain without them. Have a good week.
  • I went to WI the other day, and was only down 1 lb, after gaining 2 the week prior. They told me next time I go in they're gonna put me on the meta quick (meta slim?? something like that) menu for 7 days to jump start my body again. Anyone have success with this?
  • So I just finished the meta slim days 1-10 menus and now I'm on the menu that I'll be on until my goal. During pre-conditioning and those 10 days I was very motivated and had no desire to eat off plan. Now that I'm on this final menu, even though I have more options, I'm actually a little disappointed in the combinations that I'm supposed have in each meal. The portions are a little odd too... As a starch I can have a 1/4 cup of beans... That's a really small portion and feels almost not worth it.

I just liked not knowing what plans were ahead of me... there was a little suspense/surprise ahead and now I feel like I'm locked into one thing for 15 weeks. I very much enjoy the foods I am supposed to eat, I just want to have them in different combinations then they are wanting, but I know that's not how it works. Ok, I've vented... Now it's time to get over it, be stoked that I'm getting this weight off, and crack open the cook book to explore the different meal options.

I am really happy with the plan overall. I've 'officially' lost 8.5 lbs and I've been on the plan for 19 days (including pre-conditioning), so that's about 3 lbs a week, which is great. I'm so glad this site exists to keep each other motivated.
  • I had my 30 day weigh in on Saturday and lost 1.5 pounds since Wednesday which was great because it put me at 10.5 pounds lost, so I got to sign my first board.

I feel like the first 30 days went a bit slow for losses, but I've since upped my water way above 8 cups a day and cut out hard cheese so we'll see where that gets me. I want to be down 12 more lbs within the next 30 days before I leave on a trip to south america.
  • I'm down another 2lbs, FINALLY out of the 150's!!!!!!!
  • HAHA I can't wait to get in the 150's!! Great Job!!!
  • OMG! I just put on my size 14 capris that I haven't been able to wear forever and they fit! I was looking for something lighter than pants to wear to my WI today and didn't think the capris would fit, but thought I would just check to see... Woo hoo!

Yes, sometimes it is "the little" things that make us so happy! Great Job.

I love it when that happens!!!
    CONGRATS!
  • HSN's getting so sweet.
I never thought i would be saying this but the HSN's are getting to sweet tasting for me. Does anyone else have this problem or have a solution?

Perhaps you just haven't found one that isn't so sweet. I really like (is my favorite) the MRC grapefruit (powder). Others I have tried that don't seem to be terribly sweet are the MRC green tea cranberry (concentrate) and the MRC peach mango (concentrate). And if I really like something, I don't require a big variety, just those few just do it for me. 90 percent of the time, I have the grapefruit! Hope this helps.
