Default Meal Replacement Shakes

My center told me I should be doing Meta-Quick 1 week a month so I bought some of their vanilla meal replacement shakes. I was unpleasantly surprised to see the amount of sugar in these shakes. If you have 2 shakes a day that is 24 grams of sugar. I am going to substitute a whey protien shake which only has 3 grams of sugar. I do know that sugar can set off cravings again and I don't want that to happen to me or to any one of you. Right now, other than in our fruit we are getting very little sugar. I don't know if the bars have as much sugar as I haven't purchased any yet.

I have been thinking of having a meal replacement shake for dinner to speed up my weight loss which has slowed down. Since I started I have gone up 1/2 pound twice. It doesn't sound like much but when you are expecting to be down a pound it is a real shock to go up even a little bit.

Hello,
Just to let you know, I went on vacation and did the meta-quick menu. I didn't buy their bars because I found one that was better with less sugar and carbs plus more protein. Pure Protein is the name of them. You can get them at Wal-Mart, for less money too. I feel guilty when I eat theirs now..lol

I really appreciate your posts, they have been so helpful to me ever since I started MRC. Thank you, I will be heading to walmart Monday. It is strange that MRC shakes are 100 calories higher than their bars and have 35g of protein whereas, from what I have read on the forum, the meal replacement bars are only about 150 calories and 15 g of protein. You would think they would be closer in nutrition.
