Default Needed pills/supplements?

So, I have a somewhat basic question, though it seems very hard to get a straight answer when I ask this at my center. I've been on program a bit over a month and doing amazing so far - but the cost for all the HNS and pills is starting to hurt a bit. So, I need to cut back just a tad on some things. I know for sure that I've got to stick with the HNS - and thats no problem. Its all the pills and vitamins I'm trying to narrow down.

Everything sounds so helpful and needed on the list of things available, but I don't even really know what half the things I'm taking every day do. When I first joined things just kept adding to the list and was cool with the original price tag. Now that things are running out and quickly, I'm scrabbling to stay stocked. Despite what my center says, I'm going to start getting some of the more generic stuff and the store for far cheaper.

So the long and short of it, what are you guys taking each day? Have you cut back on what you're taking and did you see a difference in weight loss and so on?

Thanks girls and guys.

From the beginning I have only taken the MRC6, oil (EFA-first from center, now from walmart), vitamins (my own) and MSM (my own, I have always taken this). I thought when I ran our of MRC6 I would not rebuy - however I was losing 3-4 lbs a week and lots of inches...I was afraid (yes a little superstitious) that if I quit my loss would slow down, so I bought another bottle to finish my contract period. Would it have made a difference? I don't know - I seem to have slowed down anyway (pound loss anyway, haven't been measured lately so can't say on the inches yet)...sorry if I've been no help! haha

The only thing I am taking from the center is the MRC 6
The MSM, flax, multi vitamin I get from walmart.
In addition, I also take magnesium and vitamin d-3.
For those that are having constipation problems, you might want to try the magnesium. I was doing the fiber drinks, and miralax and benefiber.
I haven't taken any of that since starting the magnesium, and things are flowing soooooo much better now! Sorry for the TMI

Thanks for the TMI, actually! When I mentioned being constipated they told me to buy the fiber drinks - which have helped, but not enough. Will definitely give magnesium a try.

I'm really thinking of cutting way back to MRC-6 at this point and buying my own vitamins and oil.

Just so you know, I have the 250 mg tablets of the magnesium and I take 1000 mg a day. But that is just what I have found works for me.

Hello,
I will let you in on my weight loss journey with MRC. I haven't taken anything but the EFA (I buy my own at the health food store for $7.00), a multi vitamin (also from the health food store for $14.00 for a 2 month supply) and the HNS's. I have lost all the weight I was supposed to in the time frame I was supposed to. So in my opinion I don't think you need all the extra stuff to lose weight. However you may need that stuff if you have hunger, cravings, lack energy, etc. that you can't control or ignore yourself. I've never taken all the other stuff so I don't know how it's supposed to affect you. Hope this helps.

I've cut back too...they always ask me if i'm taking a "thermogenic" and I proudly answer nope. I used to, but now I'm losing this weight without it. I buy MRC6 from them and thats its. I buy vits, MSM and oils on my own.

I was taking the MRC6 but stopped after 3 weeks without noticing any additional benefit. In fact, I lost more before I was taking it. For those that have taken it, did you notice a big difference when you stopped?

i probably won't be much help. i am still in the pre-conditioning week. i get my plan on friday, but i can say that i feel so much better this week, than i have in a long time. i am really excited that i decided to sign up for the program and that i have such a supportive husband

i can tell you that my initial meeting with my counsler was wonderful. she spent about an hour with me, and i got a lot of questions answered. after talking to her, i decided i am only going to buy the shakes from MRC to start...and continue buying my multi-vit and fish oil from walmart. i am going to see how i do, and if i have issues then i might re-visit the idea of trying something else.

good luck!! i am so glad i found this website...everybody on here is so supportive!

The only thing I take from the center is the EFAs and I still have a whole lot left over from my initial purchase. I buy my own multi vitamin, D3, B100, magnesium and chromium. I buy only enough of the HNS to make it look good, I use an alternate protein drink for two of the HNSs I do a day.
Due to health issues I can't take a thermogenic, the flax seed stuff and I only take one EFA at each meal-if I remember.

I havebeen taking the Corti Trim since I started in August. I also buy the EFA, sometimes Phentratrim, Cal-Mag,. I buy my own vitamins since I can't take Iron.. I am now on Guggle due to carb cravings.. I am still having carb cravings and acting on those cravings. Usually if I purchase something from them, if I don't see any difference within the time the bottle is gone, I usually don't repurchase it and they know it.. I think everyone is different. If you can get by without all the stuff, I say do it. My concern is that is is a low calorie diet and we may need to replace some of the things we are not getting in our food.. So this is kind of why I buy the extras..

Good luck!

Thanks for all your input, its much appreciated. I really think I'm going to drop down to just the MRC-6 and get my own vitamins and oils. I'll just go from there if I feel like I'm missing something or see my weight loss slow down.

I was just so excited and had the extra money when I started plan - I took everything they threw at me. Now its time to refill and its not quite as easy. :P

Does the MRC 6 work? Have others had the same success without taking it?

I began in August 09 and in addition to the HNS, I purchased Corti-Trim and MRC6 and saw a nice loss through December, approx 55 lbs and 74 inches. In addition to those supplements (and not purchased from MRC), I take 10 high quality fish oils per day (Life Extension), whole food multivitamin, Natren's Healthy Trinity pro-biotic (I believe this helps facilitate weight loss in and of itself), and Natural Calm magnesium supplement (hot magnesium drink rapidly absorbed into the body and provides a calming affect and also helps with relief of pain in the body (would surely consider this for fibromyalgia). Also helps keeping you regular as well. Once the MRC6 & Corti-Trim ran out in December, I have gone on without them. Weight loss has slowed, but then again, haven't kept my nose to the grindstone as well over the last couple of months, but still lost some. I also walk 4-5 times a week for 45 min to 1 hour, and have begun using my Bosu ball for toning the mid core. I see a huge difference. My weight is still high at about 183, but people don't believe it when I tell them that I still weigh this much. I am wearing size 14 jeans (use to be 22-24) and my sweaters are now size large (use to be 3x). I am opting now to continue without any of the other MRC supplements EXCEPT for the hns (now doing 4 per day). After about another month, if loss doesn't pick up again, I will re-purchase the MRC6 and Corti-Trim. Will try to come back and update this, should I do this to help justification of these extra supplements, but right now, I am convinced they may not be needed. I do drink the water, about 8 bottles per day! I believe the water is KEY!

i took corti-trim this month, it did nothing for me. the bottle says take one and breakfast and one at lunch, so thats what i was doing. then one counselor said you can do two at each meal. well i don't know if doing that many would have made a difference, but buying that much supply would be way too expensive for me, the small bottle (60 pills) was $30. i have been doing mrc6, but they say it doubles your inches and it hasn't doubled mine. so who knows. the important ingredient in that is apple cider vinegar, they said it helps to flush the fat. after my supply is out i do not plan on repurchasing.
