I haven't gone back to WI this week...I have lost 3 of the 8 pounds, but I want to at least get down another 3 before I face the music. I know our center was running a special but you had to sign before Christmas, but I bet they will extend it till New years. They want your money, so I know they will work with you. :dizzy:
Glad you are back. Hope your FIL is doing better healthwise too. Maybe you can soon plan your Mexico trip! Now is the time to get away from all this snow!!!!
aww, thanks, this post made me feel really good. :) i'm hoping that i'll be able to pull myself out of the hole i dug over the month of december. i'm definitely struggling, so i know i have a lot of work to do. i'm hoping that i can get my head on straight and really buckle down, maybe even go to some of the classes. i just need to figure myself out and stop sabotaging! it's easy to say to yourself "nothing tastes as good as thin feels" but when i'm facing down a plate of fresh-baked cookies or being served spaghetti at a family get-together, it's really hard to demur.
speaking of, my mom told me two days ago that the average american puts on 15 pounds over the holiday season. is it any wonder?! ugh. and i think saying i've gained 5 pounds is being pretty generous, considering i'd managed to creep up another few before the holidays. i bet overall i'm up 8 or 9 pounds. siiiiigh. but that's what re-signing is for! i need all the help i can get to turn things back around.
anyway, thanks so much for your kind words. josh's father is truly a miracle man--he was in the ICU for three weeks starting on sept. 28, then moved to madonna here in lincoln, and finally tomorrow he will be moving in with me and josh, where we can tend to the rest of his physical recovery and hopefully get him started in a new, HEALTHY life in lincoln! it's amazing to see how far he's come, and i truly hope that he's made a change for the better.
