It's made with half/half + whole milk. I could only eat a little of it and had the same reaction afterwards. I learned a lot being off program. I could not eat as much, I felt icky after 2 days of eating off program, and I did crave more carbs. Huge learning experience and wake up call for how healthy eating OP is. I really appreciate all the info. I am learning from you all and MRC. Although it is tough at times to stay OP, it sure is worth it!! Oh, another thing...my bank account sure is feeling it too - geez louizzzze!
New Years Resolution =
**Stay OP and keep losing (looking forward to getting in the 180's soon)
**Solid exercise routine
**Spend less money (please keep posting all the tips and deals)

I want to wish everyone a Happy Holidays and New Year!! Here's raising my grape HSN wine glass to our continued weight loss and health!!! :)

CndLou...oh you are so right...we make the Oyster stew with the half and half and milk (Vit D) and wow...it was so good until about 3AM....then I suffered big time!!!! I really fell off plan big time....couldn't stay out of the pecans, walnuts and almonds....but it was better than hitting the sweets!!! Still I went overboard on the meals I prepared and I should have known better....I guess being snowed it and bored, that was my excuse. I have 5 pounds yet to drop before WI...which I hope to get there by Thursday. It felt so good getting back to the gym and working it off. I want that 40 pound board so baaaaad!!!!!:?:

Well I am back on plan. I can't believe how easy it was to fall off just because we had extra people in the house due to being snowed in over the holiday. They went home yesterday and I made it through without going off plan. I am back on track now but with a road block ahead. I am leaving for a week long cruise Jan. 8th and I do not want to sabbotage myself again.
Food just has too much control over our lives sometimes. Congratulations Keiko, that is awesome. You are an inspiration to me that I may get there too someday.

If you're driving down the interstate, you get lost or off track, just get off at the next exit and turn around, heading back to where you want to be ... yay!

Also, for those who order from diet direct, they have the powder drinks and crispy bars (I'm really fond of the cinnamon ones!) on sale this week.

Thanks, I just ordered some!! :)

Thank you FL! Still have over 20 lbs to go and hopefully my goal weight doesn't change much more. Having a loss has helped support my resolve this week. By the way love the picture of you in the snow with the pup - it's very festive! Cheers....with water of course!

Thank you Leigh....you will be right behind me in no time flat! I do hope you enjoy your cruise and hopefully you will have some beautiful weather along with it. Great job sticking to plan with company! That's great! I wasn't perfect over the holiday, but tried to focus closely on what I was doing and being with others when they don't have to worry about what they choose to eat is tough. Hopefully when we start the January thread we will have tons of support from one another.

well hi everyone. *sheepish smile*

i fell off that proverbial wagon and, as someone said in another thread, got ran over by it :P i've been naughty over the past couple of weeks and i'm really starting to feel the effects--not only do i mentally feel bad about my weakness but i'm physically feeling bad, too; apparently eating crap tends to make your body feel like crap.

anyway, i haven't weighed in for a couple of weeks at least but i've mustered up the resolve to go to the center saturday morning and face the music (probably to the tune of 5 pounds or so, eek). BUT the good news is that i'm going to re-sign and i'm really ready to get back on track. i miss the good feelings that accompanied weight loss and knowing i was doing the right thing, and i miss feeling good about myself most of all.

time for a new year and a new start!

Oh I have been wondering where you have been LeahRuthie...you have been so missed.:( So glad to see you back though and glad you are going to re-sign.:carrot: 5 pounds really isn't too bad, since I gained 8 over the Holidays. I haven't gone back to WI this week...I have lost 3 of the 8 pounds, but I want to at least get down another 3 before I face the music. I know our center was running a special but you had to sign before Christmas, but I bet they will extend it till New years. They want your money, so I know they will work with you. :dizzy:

Glad you are back. Hope your FIL is doing better healthwise too. Maybe you can soon plan your Mexico trip! Now is the time to get away from all this snow!!!!

aww, thanks, this post made me feel really good. :) i'm hoping that i'll be able to pull myself out of the hole i dug over the month of december. i'm definitely struggling, so i know i have a lot of work to do. i'm hoping that i can get my head on straight and really buckle down, maybe even go to some of the classes. i just need to figure myself out and stop sabotaging! it's easy to say to yourself "nothing tastes as good as thin feels" but when i'm facing down a plate of fresh-baked cookies or being served spaghetti at a family get-together, it's really hard to demur.

speaking of, my mom told me two days ago that the average american puts on 15 pounds over the holiday season. is it any wonder?! ugh. and i think saying i've gained 5 pounds is being pretty generous, considering i'd managed to creep up another few before the holidays. i bet overall i'm up 8 or 9 pounds. siiiiigh. but that's what re-signing is for! i need all the help i can get to turn things back around.

anyway, thanks so much for your kind words. josh's father is truly a miracle man--he was in the ICU for three weeks starting on sept. 28, then moved to madonna here in lincoln, and finally tomorrow he will be moving in with me and josh, where we can tend to the rest of his physical recovery and hopefully get him started in a new, HEALTHY life in lincoln! it's amazing to see how far he's come, and i truly hope that he's made a change for the better.

don't feel too bad Leah Ruthie, I was only 7 pounds from goal then Xmas treats jumped in front of me so now I have 10 lbs to lose. I re-signed last week and am still trying to control the chocolate demon. It is hard, but I know I have to reel this in before I really get myself in trouble.. Good luck and welcome back!

I had a NSV this morning...being one of those people that sometimes buys the same article of clothing in several colors - put on one of the 3 jackets I bought a few years back (when I was on the down hill side of my 5 year yo-yo dieting cycle) which for some time now I couldn't zip - voila I was able to zip it up today! Success is not always found on the scale - so don't be discouraged by what the scale reads - even if you were challenged over the holidays. For me this was a simple thing, but a moment which I acknowledged with a smile on my face. Happy New Year everyone!

:hat: :wizard:  :newyear: :dust:
