I learned that I can say no. I can still live my life and go out, but eat on program. It's just as fun to go out with the girlfriends and have chicken and broccoli as it is to have a hamburger. It's about the company not about the food. I never realized how much our lives revolve around food. Someone has a birthday, you go to dinner, a friend gets married, have a party. I'm down 22lbs. Everytime I have an event, I remember it's about the person, not the food.

When I get a craving I say to myself. 22 lbs lost. Is that coffee/chocolate worth it? and most of the time it's not. I've had my slip ups as we all do but try to get right back on program..

I think saying no has always been the hardest part for me too. Everyone is going to slip up now and again, the trick is to just get back on and don't beat yourself up over it. I always say to myself, "I want to fit in those jeans more than I want that cookie!"
Congrats on the 22 pounds!

I'm learning patience and persistence. I have to have a lot to keep going day after day!

Hahahaaa.. I would rather eat the pie dough than the pie! In fact I just tossed some pie dough from the fridge the other day. ( it was calling my name) LOL..

That is so true! We associate every event in our lives with food in one way or another.. That is one thing I am working on.. Getting past the food part of the event and concentrate on other things..

Cheers!
