Are we going to get Jennifer back on here....I miss her.
I know, I use 2 oz. of cheese and that's 2 slices for me but I know (for me) 3 oz or 3 slices would be too much. You could just eat a slice I suppose. But it is awesome!!

I talk to Jenifer daily and was just talking to her a few moments ago. She's got so much on her plate right now. But I know, I miss her.

I'm sorry I haven't been posting as much lately. Congrats to all those who have losses. I wish I had more positive news to report for myself, but i've been going up/down 2 pounds the past week and a half and am VERY frustrated, but am continuing with the C25K program (week 4) and am holding steady at 50 pounds lost.

Tomorrow we're having a party at work with cake and ice cream and am seriously considering having a small piece of cake. I've been obsessing about birthday cake for the past month or so and even a counselor at my center to go have a piece if that's what's stopping me. So, who knows what i'll end up doing.

I make a cheese quesadilla for breakfast with Flat bread, half a Flat Out, this would take the full 3oz of cheese...very yummy and portable.

Oohh, that does sound good! Can you give me details as to how you prepare that exactly? That'd be great!

Isn't it funny how we all love bread and cheese so much??? I remember when I looked at the plan for the 1st time I immediately thought "It has cheese, I can do this!" LOL.

Hey Noahsmama,
I'm right with ya girlie... struggling for the past 2 weeks with the same 2 lbs on and off again, finally down 1/2 lb overall, feel like I am so hungry lately and struggling to stay on plan 100%. I will tell you that I began to hit plateaus and struggle with losses when I started the C25k program, it leveled off after about 2 mo. and I'm now back to struggling again with both weight loss & hunger since changing from 6 oz of protein to 4 oz. and increasing my running from 2 to 3 miles, 3 x a week. I have had some deviences and went off plan and had a dessert last weekend. The scale bounced up temporarily, went back down w/in a few days. I decided along time ago I would rather give myself a treat on rare occasions ofcourse than to obsess over it for months just to get to goal faster and then once I hit goal pig out on all the things I've felt deprived from and gain back a bunch of weight in the process. So, I've treated myself about 3-4 times in the last 7 mo., nothing crazy, not an all day pig out fest, I stay OP with the exception of a dessert or something like that. Whatever you decide, we're still here for you...

As for me, I've recently decided I needed some help with the hunger... I went to the center yesterday and pled my case, I am starving! They agreed I needed a change b/c of the exercise/running I'm doing and the fact that my losses have slowed alot. They wanted to put me back up to the beige menu but I asked about Metabalance that GWE is using and they agreed to give it a trial for 4 days and see how I do, if no progress, back to beige I guess. Who knows what will happen but I can say this much, I had 1 starch, 2 eggs and a dairy (string cheese) this am and feel very satisfied. I hope this continues to be the theme for the rest of the day :0) and I hope to see a big drop by next week. Keep your fingers crossed for me, I'll be doing the same for you!!

Careful with American Cheese - read the labels - I know there are some processed cheese products that are almost not even cheese. I'm not sure what the cheese requirements are but the menus say hard cheese so I have used sliced swiss and cheddar, etc. and yes, I love a grilled cheese (half) sandwich when I have to grab food and run in the morning! jeanette

My most creative breakfast one day when I really, really did not want to eat anything was to take 2 oz cottage cheese and blend it with 1 package vanilla pudding HNS and about 2 oz water. I whipped one egg foamy and poured into a med hot non-stick 10 inch skillet sprayed with Pam. It cooked up like a crepe and I was able to flip it over and cook on the other side. Then I scrapped as much of the cottage cheese and pudding mixture onto the crepe as I could get out of the blender and rolled it up. If only I could have had some cherries or cut up strawberries for breakfast, it would have been like a cherry cheese blintz!
As it was, there was a lot of filling but it was warm where it 'melted' against the crepe and cool in the center and very satisfying. I still had to eat a starch so I had a slice of toast with Stevia and cinnamon. It was a nice special treat.

Fifties Lady,
I usually eat an egg with an ounce of cheese on a piece of toasted bread, its yummy! You might do 2 eggs with cheese but at least it changes the flavor a bit from just eggs!

Noahsmama, it is very simple, take half a FlatOut bread (Flat Bread) put cheese of choice - I like pepper jack for a kick - fold in half and "fry" in a non-stick skillet - flipping to both sides until cheese is melted and bread is toasted...just like making a Quesadilla. Very Yummy

Default breakfast

I don't know if you ladies in NE can get it but here at King Soopers you can get Roberto's fresh salsa in the dairy case. When I first started this program I was at a meeting with every manager from CO except the center in Colorado Springs. They all said you can have as much of this salsa as you want. It's made at a restaurant in Ft. Collins. I use it with cheddar cheese and tortilla to make a quesadilla and also use it a lot for a dressing on my chicken taco salad. I put some on top of my spicy buffalo burger for lunch, along with 1/2 slice of pepper jack cheese. It's pretty much the only salsa that is in my house and my DF loves it too. I figure if a chef really likes it then that's just another bonus to only buy it and nothing else. A combination of egg and cheese for breakfast with some salsa for a breakfast burrito works well too.

Recently, I've done the egg salad thing for breakfast and it was a nice change.

So I ate a piece and it tasted really good..but I immediately got a headache. Sugar rush?! I then ot tired a few minutes later and have felt like crap this evening. I'm worried what the scale's gonna say in the morning I've drank about 180 oz. of water and honestly don't think I can drink any more. I also had fish for dinner, trying to keep it as lean as possible and not use oil or anything. I also did yoga, didn't feel like running of course. Argh, i don't think i'll do that again. At least I got that out of my system I suppose.

Oh yes I know. I use the yello american cheese out of the deli. My center said that that was okay. Thanks for the heads up!

I thought "American" cheese was all processed and the equivalent of cheez whiz. This is why I can't stand to eat at subway. And fish sandwiches with cheese turn my stomach.

As for real cheese, I could eat it for days!
Those deli ladies at Marsh must cringe a little when the see the cheese lady coming.
