Thumbs up Is it possible.....?

Hi all I started preconditioning on Monday and this morning (Thursday) I was down 3 pounds on my home scale...is that possible??? I am supposed to go to my food class tomorrow but of course 2 of my kids decided to get the stomach flu...exactly how bad a mom would I be to make my hubby stay with them while I sneak away to my class? I DON'T WANT TO MISS IT!!!! If this is the kind of weight loss I can expect to continue then I am so excited!

You drop a lot of lbs in the beginning because of water weight loss. For a lot of people, the pre-conditioning diet is a major diet change, especially regarding your sodium intake. The pre-conditioning diet wasn't that much different than my diet before I went on MRC's program and I lost 7 lbs during pre-conditioning. It'll slow to 2-5 lbs per week throughout the program.

Yes it IS possible!!! I lost 5 pounds my first week and then I've leveled off (11 pounds in 4 weeks). Doesn't it feel amazing!!! I just found out that I lost 19 inches in 4 weeks! It really does work!! Congratulations!!!

Wow! Good Job! I know it has only been a few days with no caffeine and LOTS of water plus multi vit and flax but I am really starting to feel GOOD! I can only imagine how much better I will feel when I am closer to a healthy weight!!! Yeah! Ella will have an active mommy!

Isn't it an awesome feeling! Congrats again and you'll have a great mother's day as I know/hope I will! I'm feeling much better with those results I found out today (much better than yesterday any way). yesterday was just a real emotional day. I actually thought I couldn't do it any more since I couldn't hardly finish my salads the past 3 days. Today I remembered that I can have meal replacement bars/shakes and that was so yummy for lunch and I just relished that instead of having salad again!!

I am frustrated with this- I didn't loose at all during pre-conditioning. While my counselor was writing out my menu she was on the phone and didn't do a very good job explaining it... which kinda irritatates me because that could have been a couple lbs lost. Although, I don't think the pre-conditioning diet was drastically different from my previous diet... or at least the way they explained it.

I was also not told that my water intake had to be clear water only.

I wonder if it has anything to do with the fact that my food classes have to be one on one instead of like a class because I live too far away to make it. Regardless, I felt a little shortchanged there.

This is only my 2nd week (I WI tomorrow) but last week I lost 2 lbs.

I wish I had some advice to offer you, Jacque. I actually had a sheet for my pre-conditioning food choices and it consisted of 4 columns and you choose one food from each column for each meal.

As far as the water intake goes, I know the HNS/tea/coffee don't count towards it, but I wasn't told that it had to be 'clear.' But honestly that's all I've counted thus far. I wonder if those people on here that drink Crystal Lite if they count that towards their daily total?

Congrats on the 2 pounds so far!!

Ok....I think I have decided to sign up for MRC....I have been watching what I have been eating all week since my first consultation, and gave up caffene, that's going ok, since I really wasn't that much of a coffee drinker anyone. I have ate many salads this week, and now after reading about pre-conditioning, sounds like I will be eating more salads....is there anything else during this time that I may eat?

Also, I take vacation one week at a time during three of the summer months and go out of town....so what happens during the week I can't check in or miss classes? Does that totally mess me up with my guarantee with MRC?

Thank you again for all your wonderful tips and info on MRC. I did go buy my Flaxseed Capsules so I am one step closer in doing it. Anyone have any other hidden message I need to know? It is costly, so I just hope it works for me....I would be so disappointed if it didn't and all the money was a total loss!

Thanks =)

Yeah, it just seemed like 2 out of the 3 times the ladies there were super distracted.... answering the phone, going in and out of the room to do whatever, focusing more on selling supplements, etc.

I really liked the girl I was with last time because she seemed like she cared and did not let anything distract her when she was working with me. No one at my center said that the water you use with HNS does not go toward my water intake until I met with her. Maybe I can request to work with her each time?

I am just happy with my loss so far and can only move on from here.. but I am optimistic for the first time in a long time.

Keep in mind that you are paying for this program. It is one of the best things that someone reminded me when I started. You are their customer. If you only want to meet with one of the counselors then only meet with that counselor. You might have to wait a little longer or schedule an appointment. That is allowed at my center.

Ok. I will buy the drinks when I join....so far I heard Mixed Berry and orange is good....any other suggestions, and what to definitely not get?

So do you think I should get the pills they sell or wait until further into the program? I really hate taking a bunch of pills at one time....I'm not a pill person....any advice here? I know I have lots of questions, but I'd rather be informed than not! Thank you for your help!

Hi Fifties Lady! So glad that you decided to do this for you! I was not given a menu for preconditioning. All I was told was to cut out caffeine or ween myself off of it and to eat protein at each meal, eggs or cottage cheese for breakfast and start drinking lots of water at least 64 oz per day. The classes are not mandatory, but they are suppose to help with your journey. When I started the program in January I was working 2 jobs so I didn't make any of the classes, you are suppose to WI twice a week but if you are out of town they will work with you that week. Buy a good multi vitamin and take it daily. I would not buy a bunch of pills if you don't want to or cant afford it. I guess it all depends on how much you want to lose. I love the MRC6 and have taken it nearly every day since January, I think it helps a lot with inches lost.....I have lost 38 inches/30.5 lbs. I like the kiwi melon and the jello HNS. Hope this helps....gotta run for now, getting off work. Have a great weekend!!

Mel

I received the same instruction. I was a little taken aback. I expected more.

More is coming , ladee2no. After the preconditioning you will attend a class that explains it in detail. Focus for now on reducing your sugar, caffeine, and sodium content as well as eating regular meals. It's sort of training your brain and body for the changes so you don't get headaches from starch/sugar/caffeine withdrawal. Good luck!

Thanks for the advice...I go to my first meeting on Friday. Unfortunately, I had the worst headache for most of the afternoon yesterday. I thought it was probably caffeine withdrawal.
