Default Cost of Medifast rising?

I haven't done it for a couple of years and thought I might kick start my weight loss with MF again.

But, after looking at the website, it looks like the cost has gone up considerably.

Or am I just not remembering it correctly?

I remember buying a month for $300-$350. It is now $450 or so.

???

Dawn, the cost has gone up and the new product line Optavia is really high...but if you go on the tsfl.com site and join the BeSlim program you get significant discounts. The first order you get 5 free boxes. After that you get 10% of total applied to your next month's purchase, plus free shipping and no tax.
I researched, even went to WonderSlim products through dietdirect.com
The products are very good, much cheaper, but I didn't lose as well. Check it out though - others have had great success.

I joined Medifast Advantage on the regular Medifast site, which also gives you 10% off next purchase and free shipping.

20 boxes x $19.50 = $390 (- $39 (10% discount from month before)) = $351 for 4 weeks worth of meals. That comes out to $87.75 per week. For me, I'm actually saving money as I spent A LOT more than that eating out every day (with many added pounds to boot).

I am exactly 4 weeks in and my first time on the program. IT WORKS (see Round 2 thread)! :-)

GOOD LUCK!

Dawn- You can just Google 'Optiva". It's just more, shall we say, fancier gourmet-type options, but same macros, calories, etc.

I did google, but it didn't tell me much.

Is the cost worth it?

I personally prefer the optavia products. They have a more complex, flavorful taste and definitely seem higher quality. They focus on more natural ingredients - no artificial additives - and add probiotics. I still order some medifast because the optavia selection isn't as great. I believe - but am not totally sure - that they are currently under the medifast wing and will spilt off in July. ??? The booklet that came with my order mentioned something about a full transition to optavia products this summer (for the take shape for life program). They will probably also have to add variety. But don't quote me - definitely double check. I would order just a few optavia and see if you like it. If you like more traditional flavors, medifast is a safer bet.

It basically depends on your taste. I enjoy some of the Optavia products and some I do not. I mix regular MF meals with Optavia meals. I probably use about 1 Optavia product a day versus 4 MF products.
