Default 2nd day on MF and doing good :)

Hi Everybody and Happy New Year!

I'm new here, new to Medifast and on my second day. So far so good and I lost 2lbs in my 1st day... It's tough, especially when my colleagues eat pizza for lunch (my favorite), but I have the will power and determination to succeed.
I started at 209.5lbs and my goal is to get to 170 in the next few months. Adjusting to the type of food and portion sizes has been difficult (my stomach is constantly rumbling and I get the occassional headache), but as they say, no pain no gain.

Glad to be here and reading some of the success stories is extra motivation.
I'll be updating this post as I progress through the program.

Regards,

Jim

yep thats how i feel gets easier as you go along after the first week. I am on my second week of medifast and my second time around. I lost 46 pounds 2 years ago. got off track and started eating my old way again and that did nothing but put me back to where i am now. Medifast worked really well for me. That is why its my go to for weightloss.
Good luck everyone this new year we can all set out goals high and aim to reach them all!

Thanks for your replies and good luck to you both with your diets, if we stick together, we can get through this!

I'm tucking into a bag of Chili Nacho puffs right now, boy they're good...it's a good job I left the box at home...out of temptations reach!

Today is my second day. So far so good! I'm kind of rushing my meals today just because I have root canal scheduled at 12:30 and I want to have already eaten lunch by then. I was down 2.6 lbs this morning. I can't wait to see my one week total.

That's great that you've lost 2.6lbs and good luck with your root canal, they're definitely not fun!

Just started my 3rd day and lost 3 lbs already

Welcome all of you!

I've been on Medifast since April, and am getting back on track after a lot of off plan eating and drinking over the weekend - my birthday is New Year's Eve, and I partied like a rock star with lots of friends and an Irish rock band.

These first few days are the toughest. Drink lots of water, eat the dill pickles if you need them, and if you are absolutely starving, eat an extra Medifast meal. I've only eaten the extra MF meal 3 or 4 times, but giving myself permission to do it makes me think I need it less.

Keep up the good work - you all can do it!

Hey Riddy,

Happy belated Birthday, I hope you had a wonderful time and that must have been one heck of a party!!

Thanks for all of your advice. I'm on my 3rd day but yesterday was the hardest with bad headaches and dizzyness. Today is better and I'm currently tucking into an oatmeal raisin bar. I'm still counting the hours until my next meal though and I'll sure be glad when that stage passes!

Good luck with your diet

Hi Jim,

Thanks! It was a great weekend. I did OK with my eating most of the weekend, but all the Jameson I drank was definitely NOT on plan.

It does get better. I still watch the clock sometimes, especially the days I work 7:30am to 6pm. Lunch is at 1:30pm, so waiting til 10:30am for that second meal isn't always easy. I drink lots of tea after I finish my coffee those mornings.

Drink lots of water - it's almost always the answer. It helps with thirst, dizziness, and even hunger.

Hang in there!

I just received my Medifast package via UPS today. I am studying the Quick Start guide to make sure I have the information downpat before I start. I need a few days to mentally prepare. Enjoying reading all the posts for encouragement and advice. I'll check in later!
