Default Getting back on the stick!

Hey all you Medifasters! *wave*

I will be restarting Tuesday, May 11th

My delivery from TSFL should be delivered Monday night: I got the antioxidant shakes this time (no soy) in Dark Chocolate, plus 1 box of the Cherry.

I developed an ick factor with the soy! But the ones made with whey are mmm tasty! Anyone else get turned off by the soy taste?

Looking forward to watching the scale plummet!

D-Day approaches...

I just added reminders to my office calendar to ping me for my three shakes while at work starting Tuesday...

I took my mom out Sunday and had my farewell carby meal of beer, pizza & tiramisu (she was better than me and had a turkey wrap, ha!)

It was very tasty but I am steeling myself to go without that kind of stuff for several months.

How you all doing on your plans?

1st day done, down 3 pounds

Definitely felt hungry last night and thought of hamburgers in the freezer and cheddar cheese on top, but stayed tough!

Can't wait to get rid of all my water accumulation! Blarf! I hate puffy ankles. I seem to be always cursed with them unless I am in some form of ketosis.

Hi MJ! Did you get on it just to knock off your last few lingering pounds?

I'm going to be on it a while, heh! Probably 8-9 months, or longer if I hit a stall.

I've been going back and forth on several different plans for a while now, and I just needed to nail myself down to something that will get the pounds off FAST and SAFELY I love low-carb but I wasn't losing very fast on it, 1 pound a week maybe. At that rate, I'd be done in about 2 years

I don't feel like accumulating any more stretch marks

One thing I have noticed on Medifast is how much my life revolves around food... it's kind of sick

I am almost constantly contemplating my next meal, and eating filled up my nights. With just a quick shaker jar "meal", it's left this new vacuum in my days. I'm adjusting to that this week, and filling up the time with distractions (crafts, email, TV, web, reading) to get my mind off what I COULD be eating

Whey vs. Soy: I noticed that the whey shakes are very clumpy when mixed with cold water, but warm water breaks them up much easier. Just in case anyone else is on the whey shakes and dealing with balls of unmixed powder I couldn't stand the smell or taste of the soy ones anymore, blah!

Hi! I like reading your posts! I am starting Monday. I have a big race this weekend so have to wait until after that.... would be a bad idea to try to run 13 miles after my first week on medifast!

I think I am going to have the same problem as you - food is SUCH a huge part of my day - timewise. So is exercise. Since i have to cut back on both for a few weeks, it'll get interesting in terms of what I fill my time with. Hopefully it'll be a CLEAN house, ha ha! Walks? Phone? Heaven knows it won't be TV in the summer. Writing here?

Any beginners advice??

You're making me so excited to start!
