Default I reeeaaaaallly need a pep talk please!! Help me keep going!

Here is my story

I've been on medifast for 10 months now. It's been great and I've gone from 289 lbs. to 165 lbs. (124 lbs gone!) From a size 22-24 to a 10. In the beginning I was super dedicated and nothing would keep me from my mfast. But now, as I'm getting closer to my goal I find myself slowing down, even cheating a little here and there. I think it might be because this is the smallest I've ever been in my adult life, I feel really healthy and I have so much energy. So now I find myself thinking, "The 160's aren't bad, I can wear 10's now. Maybe I could just stop now and tone up/maintain..." I know that it is crazy to get within 40 lbs. of my goal and stop but I'm just having such a hard time staying in the zone, and with mfast you have to be in the zone! Any words of advice or encouragement would really be appreciated. Thanks all and keep up the good work!

You've come so far honey! Keep going, it's worth it! 40lbs isn't that much to lose and think how much better you'll feel to be prolonging your life! You can do it!

WOW, 124lb lost! That is amazing. If you can do that I know you can go all the way to goal. It is only natural to feel a little less motivated now that you look and feel good. I'm not there yet but I think that we will all have to learn to get by with less motivation to make the weight loss permanent. Maybe it would help to have a non weight loss goal to work on: getting a new certificate to help in your job, learning to knit, etc.

Here is some encouragement, 3fc style.

You've done so well!! It's really up to you. If it is better for you to maintain for a while, don't beat yourself up. Just don't do something that will make you gain it back, been there with WW. I set a goal that was to low, instead of gaining a little back I gained it all and then some. I don't plan to do that again. Keep us posted on how what you decide to do. Just my opinion.

Thanks for all the words of encouragement! I really needed it
I'm going to give it my best and try to keep going. I'm so close to my goal I hate to quit now. However, I am going to try to really listen to my body and if I get to the point where I need to just maintain for a while I will Thanks again for all the kind words!
