Angry Cravings and how do you handle?

I won't lie...I just ate a 1 3/4oz bag of Doritos, 1 fun size Baby Ruth, 1 fun size Butterfinger and a quarter sized heart shaped Dove dark chocolate.

I've been doing fantastic the past 2 days...now 1.

How do you handle massive cravings? I drink a lot of water. Had 2 pieces of sugar free gum.

Also Aunt Flo is in town and when she is....my crave drive goes through the roof for both salty and sweet items.

Please help. Is there still hope for me yet?

I love the medifast plan...I just have my own demons to battle I suppose.

Honestly, I give into the cravings. If you ignore them, they won't go away, and it usually causes me to just binge on other unhealthy foods. It's okay to do it once in awhile. Just make sure it doesn't turn into another day or another.

I have found if you can stay POP long enough to go into ketosis...the cravings diappear...the trick is sticking to plan for those 3-4 days until it kicks in...and every time you give in to a craving, the time starts over again...
I am having the same battle right now...today is my second day on plan and I am craving so bad right now...I know if I can hang in another day or 2 I'll be ok...send me some good vibes and I'll be sennding them to you!

Thank you for the good vibes, djay!!!

I went ahead and stepped on the scale...I'm only 5lbs shy of being in the 30's

Now, that I've got my craving out of the way...I'm more amped about this. I thought that I was still hovering in the upper 40's and lower 50's.

Again, damnit. I really, really need to stop myself.

I'm second guessing the plan due to my lack of committment. It seems like every new week is my "start" week....we're almost 1 month into it now.

Very disappointed in myself at this point and shouldn't wag my finger at the plan...more like the mirror. This is it...I received my next 2 week package yesterday. Either s*** or get off the pot, right?

I'll keep you updated on my own personal rollercoaster. Trying to straighten out the kinks.

Thanks for listening.

I have a food/nutrition scale that I got at Target for $40. It gives me the calories and the other values that you typically get on the labels of boxes. When I crave, even when I was on MF, I'd get something healthy and just try to keep it at about 50-100 cals and within reasonable range for carbs, fat and protein. When I am working hard I am also pretty liberal with the protein portion. Then, if I am worried about the extra intake, I do a little extra walking. I also don't limit the jello or pickles and I will allow myself a 100 cal. yogurt once or twice a week.

Also, you may want to check out your Transition Guide or the diet plan you want to live with once you hit your goal to get a few ideas on foods that would be good and low cal/carb/fat that you can use to satisfy cravings as they come along. That's how I chose my craving busters.

I'm just not one of those who is willing to "Suffer for Beauty". Screw that!!! I wanna be "Skinny and Happy". Short of that, I'll take "Not Obese and Doing Fine".
