I thought I might tap into your expertise once more and ask about ordering.


I am ordering the plan today and I was wondering, is it best to start with the variety pak that Medifast has on the site, or should I choose my own stuff?

Also do ya'll perfer to order online of call the number?

Thanks so much to all of you, I have problems with desicions and having experience availbale is a huge advantage.

I ordered online and used a coupon (Google Medifast coupons).

I ordered the variety pak and will probably do the same next month. The only food I didn't care for was the Maple and Brown Sugar Oatmeal.

I fretted for days about what to order. I picked my own because I knew I wouldn't like the fruit shakes. It might be a good idea to order the variety because you get to try lots of things and you can exchange if you only try one packet out of a box.

If you do customize, don't forget to order an oatmeal, a pudding, a soup and a bar to try along with shakes. People have many hints about the best way to prepare the food, soak, microwave, heat on stove only etc. so if you search here and on the MF forum, you'll find great advice.

For work I found a plastic shake mixer at Bed, Bath and beyond by Zliss sp? I just put a bit of ice and cold water in, shake and then take the ice out.

My favorite things are the dutch chocolate shake and the blueberry oatmeal. Also, the hot chocolate is nice when it's cold outside. My daughter likes the smores bar, i like the caramel nut. I haven't tried any of the others but I have choc mint and lemon on my next order.

Today is the end of my first 2 weeks and I lost 8.

I order online. To be perfectly honest, my husband orders online for me, which is even easier. I don't know if you can order by phone 24/7, but I like ordering things online because then I can do it when it's most convenient for me.

I think the phone order line closes around 10pm. I don't know what time zone however. I called during lunch at work one day. The MF person was VERY helpful and patient. She even suggested an item since I had not quite decided on the final item in my order. I'd have never ordered the Maryland Crab had she not suggested it. WONDERFUL!!!

I chose my own assortment and went with a two week supply. This was best for my budget. I'll begin week two on Wednesday and plan to reorder tomorrow morning (Monday) to make sure my items arrive in time. So far, I love the plan. It's working and it isn't as drastic or as difficult as I had feared. In fact, it's the easiest plan I've tried.
