Default The Daily - Sept 1, 2 and 3!

Good morning, chickies and roosters. (Where are thos guys anyhow?)

This definitely feels like September - had to wear a sweater in the meadow this a.m. Hershey is in wonderful form after her 11 days at the clinic. She did two complete circuits this a.m. in celebration. We both slept a lot yesterday and weren't outside much.

Gee, Casey, sure glad you explained the Camp Follower tag. Whew!

Kirei - the Teryaki Chicken recipe is great! Keep them coming!

Welcome to new posters - LineMae, srhs20, Free3Bme. Hang out here lots and you will be really motivated.

Good morning, Peach. Don't forget your riot gear!

I've been checking out the www.allrecipes.com. So far I've had them e:mail me 3 recipe cards. I LOVE that site. Thank you to whoever it was that kept referencing it in the recipe threads. What a great place to get fresh ideas!

Default Good Morning!

Oh Ruth, send some of that cool air our way, pretty please!! We are still hot and sticky.

peachie have lots of fun shopping with non-Jiff and your niece. I agree, bring the battle gear. Just kidding, you will have a great time. My 15 year old daughter and I don't fight too much anyway when we go shopping together.

Thanks for asking about my General's, but we lost last night. But.........the band looked and sounded great

I have not been in chat for ages. Would love to chat with you guys.

Janice, of course I know what a scrimmage is, you forget I'm a old football Mom I have never heard of high school kids signing contracts!! Boy, I knew Texas took it's football seriously, but boy what a shocker.

I'll check back in later, have a good day all

Good Mornign everyone!

Had a great chat with you too Tippy and nice to see our regulars there too! Woke up late this morning courtesy of my dh (what a guy! ) Today is laundry and painting--hoping to get some more of the walls finished today. I am planning on drinking a ton of water today so i hope it flushes out my system really well!

My dh stumbled upon a really yummy meat dish last night. We had some leftover turkey and he wrapped it up in bacon and boiled it--YUMMY! Give it a try, it really is good!

Unhappy Soggy Saturday....

in Houston this morning! We're not having flooding in our area, but south of downtown is! Those poor people! Some reports state that many of these homes are still under repair from our June flood waters!

Ruth~Missed you at chat last night but glad you caught up on your sleep.

Peach~Riot geat may be in order! Glad to "see" ya last night!

DebK~Sorry about your Generals! But I'm sure your DD played well! Duh, of course you know what a scrimmage is! What was I thinking? I think DS has pretty much decided to give f-ball up. I don't care except it may keep him from participating in track and tennis. Stupid contracts! * I just reread my post about the scrimmage....I meant you wouldn't know where Conroe is!

Tippy~Glad to see you last night too! We had a nice time!

Jdoneil~~

I'm not sure what's on the agenda today other than deep cleaning the ice house and our cooker. Everyone loves cooking up there but no one wants the clean up! DH is checking on a job site this morning but offered to help when he's done.

I'll check back in with you chicks later....maybe we can do an afternoon chat?

Janice

Pooky~We were posting at the same time!

Talking Good morning

Sorry I missed the chat!!

I hope everyone has some fun events planned for the long weekend...we are hanging out around the house, my brother-in law, wife and 12 week old baby are here for a few days, I forgot how much Ilove tiny babies......

My DH has gone shopping, I am kind of scared, what he will come home with.... ;)

Ruth, I bet Hershey is glad to be home!! I wish it felt more like fall here, it is cooler in the 70's but still too humid today.

Have a great weekend !!!!!

:)

Hi Everyone,
I just have a second, but thought I'd check in.
MamaJ, thanks for your post yesterday. I ended up letting him go for a whole lot of different reasons and hopefully he makes good choices. You're right, now is when we get to see how well he learned what we've been teaching all these years! He's a good kid though, just about has his Eagle Scout and mostly responsible. I'll know tomorrow!

Sounds like everyone's busy doing holiday weekend things. We're sorting through stuff. I have become the queen of ebay, so my husband thinks everything is fair game to sell and I think some things are just meant for the trash can. I live with a pack rate of the worst kind!

Gotta go cook supper!
Have a good one,
Chickadee

Default Hi everybodeee

This weekend will be busy. Went to a big festival near here called "Arts, Beats, and Eats", you can geuss what part I had a hard time with. Only an ice cream bar. It could have been worse. (I skipped the fries on my catfish! )
Monday my family is coming over for the last swim party. I know there will be lots of food, but no dessert unless someone else brings it!

Deb-sorry to hear your team lost. So did ours, somehow I feel it's unfair though that my kid (That hasn't got to play even ONE play this season yet, has to do running and watch the game tape (like he didn't see it while he stood there for 2 hours!)

Evryone is talking about Keiri's recipes. Where can I find them?

Mum2five, just go to the bottom of this page and see the box that says Forum Jump. Just scroll down a couple from Low Carb and you will see various low carb recipes. That's the recipe board. Enjoy.

Wow, we got the cool Canadian air this morning! Thanks Ruth, Linda and Pooky! (and others?) It's beautiful, and just in the nick of time- a shot of energy to get some of this cleaning finished. The heat just paralyzes me... I haven't felt like doing anything!

We have no plans for the long (US) weekend- maybe we'll grill some burgers with DS. My little neice got a puppy and just wants to show her off, and play. She is an 8 week old Westie and is the cutest thing! So I think we'll just be staying close to home. And with paper training, sis can't go far for too long!

DH is in the basement complaining of a cold...He is working out anyway, then will complain about how sick he feels. Oh that's right, we did the DH bashing thread a week or so ago. Any body up for a repeat? Men when they're sick! Whining! "is there any juice?"

"We have no bananas"

"Where are the tissues?"

"I'm SICK!"

I better get out of the house for a while today! Maybe a little shopping-

have a good one all!
