Talking how was everyone's Monday?

Hi everyone,

While doing laundry, I thought I'd check in to see how your day is going. It's nice to read everyone's entries and see the bond that exists between so many of you. I'm new to all of this, have been hitting your site for about 2 weeks or so. TO: Mum2five....don't feel bad........I'm still confused how to use the threads and I really don't understand how to put in all the cute little moving icons when posting an entry!!!

I did post on another thread that I stopped the Atkins diet a few days ago. I had nearly completed the induction phase and had not lost so much as a pound........and I diligently followed the diet to my knowledge. I was getting so upset and frustrated, that I had to move to Plan B. So, I dusted the cobwebs off my diabetic diet and have started that as of this a.m. Hopefully, it will also keep my blood sugar levels from bottoming out like they were during the day on Atkins.

Thanks to all of you.........your stories are so uplifting and inspiring, and it's nice to know that we can come together to support on another with weight issues, as well other personal issues. Let's keep fighting the good fight together!!!

Take care.....Robin

Angry Hi Robin

My Monday is....a Monday. Lol

Sorry you got frustrated trying Atkins. But good for you to brush yourself off and give another LC woe a try. Don't forget to take your measurements cause altho you may not be seeing the pounds drop you may be losing in inches.

I was very new to this a year ago, too! I was SO confused! When you are reading a "thread" and want to reply, go to the bottom of the page and on the right hand side you will see two little boxes....one that says, Reply and the other New Thread. Click on reply and it will give you a "reply" screen. The smilie icons are on the left hand side of this screen. After you type your message, scroll the screen down and you will see other options and at the very bottom....Submit Reply or Preview Reply. Click on Submit and VOILA~~you've replied on that thread!

Hope to see you stick around so we can get to know you! Come post on the daily and join in with this great and growing bunch of chicks and roosters!

Janice

Default Not a total loser!

Thanks for the support re: threading. But as you can see on other threads, I'm doing pretty good!
I see new threads are like new subjects!

Thanks for the help though. I LOVE this site!
Today I had a lady come into Curves to sign up and she was so depressed and frustrated I wrote down this website and told her to join us for some encouragement!

Talk to you all tomorrow

I think this is what is so helpful about this woe. There are so many plans to chosse from. I searched and read for about a month before I choose the low glycemic index diet. I of course realize that the weight will come off slower. But it took along time in cominmg on. I have PCOS and read about it and Syndrome X. And chose my diet based on insulin resistance. I looked up both low carbihydrate and glycemic index on a google search. There was alot of info on teh net as well as the library had alot of books so I was able to check them out before purchasing.

That is what is great about this site is I have found support no matter what diet/plan a person is following.
Good luck today. The daily thread is the one that usually mentions teh day of teh week, and teh support thread has a number with it. Join us as you learn
