Default Tuesday!

Ok, made it through Monday. Ate up some leftover FROZEN frosting while watching "A wrinkle in time" until I got disgusted with myself and went to bed. And why would Disney/ABC-TV put a child's show on from 8-10:30 on a school night? I was so annoyed, I may write to them. I was feeling crappy from the dentist(thanks for asking Sono!) and 10:30 is too late for me. I gave up around 9:30!

the dentist wasn't horrible, but what I thought would be just a filling, will need a crown. So it was not fun. I hate the dentist, and only get myself to go with the greatest will power, and then only every few years. It can be like, umm, four or five, but this time was only 2. Oh, well, I have a lot of childhood cavaties from after I had my braces taken off, and the filling deteriorates, and there are cavaties underneath; once I have the crown, it'll be better, I guess.

Have my salad romaine all cut up, grilled a huge london broil last night and will have that for some lunches this week.
It is supposed to be in the 80's this week, I have NO clothes to wear. I think I'll hit the stores tonight-I didn't buy anything last year cause we were buying a house and every cent went to down payment! So there's not much in the closet, and little of what is there, doesn't fit! So I'd better do something!

Enough, I'd better get going...hi to Basha, welcome, glad to have you! How'd yesterday go for you?

Hi Linda, L, Ruth, Sono, Kel, Peach, I saw you sneaking in Leenie...and who ever else I missed!

Its nice not having a boss for the time being, I can play more here

Dotti, have fun shopping. I also did myself under yesterday, I bought a box of cookies and well enuf said why oh why. Back on plan, today I will fast b/c I just feel soooo carb over loaded and its icky. Its going to feel like 90 today, well Mr. G. said that on WCBS radio this morning so I am making sure I am glugging ALOT of water so I don't pass out and do anything funky

I wonder when us chickes are going to have another get together?

Sono, I don't know where you got your calendar but Canada definitely had Mother's Day on Sunday. Very strange. Oh well.
I went to #1 daughter's today for a trim. I didn't want much taken off as I'd like to grow the top a bit longer. My friend had her hair totally changed. She has natural curls and has always worn it forward, curling around her face. Daughter gave her a totally new look. Wow! Amazing what talented hands can do.
Yes, I know there's nothing I can do about her problem with her hubby. I just try to be here for her if she needs me. Wish I could offer financial help, but we're just getting by ourselves, although we'll probably give her an even bigger break on the rent for a while.
My friend and I went to Swiss Chalet for lunch and they claim to have a low carb menu now....all under 25 gr of carb. Well, I'd like to know how much under because I try to stay under 20 gr for the whole day, not just one meal. Well, I enjoyed a chicken leg and thigh, a green salad with just a dab of dressing and some grilled veggies. How harmful can that be?
Roast pork for dinner tonight.

Thursday morning- just a quick hi as I am running off to work and must be ON TIME for a n early meeting.
yesterday I pushed myself to go clothes shopping. boy was that excrutiating. I haven't seen my butt in a full length mirror in a while! And it is hard to find a size 16 that doesn't have sleeves that come down over my hands and pants that are 5 inches too long. But I got some stuff, but 2 pants have to go to the tailor to be shortened. UGH. that was hard!
Today should be OK, as I am still pretty shook up by the sight of myself! I am practically planning salad for breakfast lunch and dinner!

have a good one,
dottie

Hi all,

It's been forever! I am back to the low carb lifestyle. I need it bad! My wieght has stayed the same, but it's still about 15lbs heaver then the last time I was doing the low carb way. I did ok yesterday, but then I made my daughter brownies and snacked on one. I was mad at myself, but I stopped after the one I ate. I was proud of myself for that. I have also been drinking LOTS of water, so hopefully that one brownie will not do much harm.

My daughter (kindergarden) is going on her first full day field trip today. And it didn't start out great. She got on the wrong bus (the right one never came). I just hope she gets there in time.

Well that's all for now, I have to call the school again, and make sure she has gotten there.

Welcome back, Bella!

Quick post as Sarah is on her way to force me to garden with her! Actually, I am working much harder and longer now that I have "staff". She is working out very well.

Hersh goes to her Clinic job right after lunch but I'll try to pop back in mid-afternoon and catch up.

Um....Dottie....it's only Wednesday. Sorry!

Must be wishful thinking i.e. Thursday morning.

I think it is great that you have help in the garden this year, Ruth. You do so much around there but it must make it easier now that its like a 'group effort'.

HATE those full length mirrors! And the lighting is always horrible too for some reason. Glad you were sucessful in getting some clothes tho, Dottie.

Nice to see you, Leenie. Your boss must still be gone, huh.

2 1/2 weeks left of school around here and it's crazy! The seniors have all kinds of stuff going on - too numerous to mention. JV baseball team has last game tomorrow then a party Friday afternoon (I need to do dessert!). 8th graders have an all day swim day coming up. I think I need a secretary to keep all these dates straight. Wouldn't that be great to have a personal assistant? Someone to keep the calendar, make appointments, pay bills, file, go to the bank, (program sprinkler systems). lol

Have a good day everyone - even if it is only Wednesday.

Default Hump Day

Hi all:

What a wonderful group! It is good "accountability" and I think of you whenever I want to hit the sugar and eat something not on my program.

Working today after a great day off yesterday. Took a long walk with my husband early this am. It's a good time to reconnect and get some exercise, too. Our son is graduating from law school in 2 weeks and then onto the Bar Review which is sort of living in **** for 2 months. But after that, he's off to live in NYC and start his life--at 28 it's time!

Working on getting in my water, cutting down on the coffee, too. Back on track!

Hope you all are well. Thanks for the connection.

Afternoon Ladies!!

Thought I would pop in and say hi. I havent been here much and been visiting the Atkins threads more.

Did a kitchen remodel, havent made any wedding plans yet, and planning a trip to maine in september. (no plans for the wedding because I think we are just going to take off one weekend) Oh, and we are closing the store at the end of the month. The plan is to move the sign business back to the house and the gift shop online. So far, we have the home page done, but not online yet. Its been very busy around here, and my weight suffered because of it. Im back on track, and its finally coming off again.

Thats all I can think of right now, have a great day!!

Hi Robin. Good to see you here. I'm sorry to hear you're closing your shop. You seemed to take such pleasure in it. It's hard to know how these ventures will turn out in today's economic climate though.

I went to the pool this morning. That's twice this week. Ta DA! Trying to get back in the groove.

Even though I threw out the pound of mixed nuts, I still have a tub of L.C. Ice Cream but I don't think it's LC enough. Very yummy, though. Well, when it's gone, I won't get any more.

Ruth, I think you'd better send your garden helper to help me. I'm really far behind in my spring chores. Luckily, the perennials are filling in and helping to hide the weeds and lack of mulch.

Linda! Good for you with the TWO times to the pool this week! I love to exercise in the water as long as it's warm water.

Leenie! So you are bossless, huh - when is a new one supposed to drop in? So hard to break-in a new boss....

Robin! Hi! We've missed you! So you are going to abandon your wall painted mooses, huh? So sad - but I bet the online business will be a great hit.

Dottie - You could be Dottie-whatever and we would know ya.

Basha! So nice to have you join us! Some of us (lots of us!) have been here for a long time. Please jump right in and chat. We talk about everything - dietlife and otherwise. Ask questions as they come up - there will usually be someone along that has an answer.

Wow - 2 postings from me today. Just to make up for times when I don't post for days. I never know what is going to happen around here day to day....
