  • I just came in from outside weeding my garden A few months ago I didn't think I would ever be saying that!

  • Hi,
Got the planters planted, except for one. Need to buy a few more flowers for that. Funny, I never have enough of those flowers. I am always buying more. By the time it's hot and humid, I'm ready to quit that stuff though and stay in the ac
Lynn, bet your unpacking and getting everything in it's place. I think the roll of toilet paper trick is pretty good. I just expect them to get into the camper. This year, I had most everything tucked away in bags, so there wasn't much of a mess. I did find a few dropping in drawers though. I think next year, since Patches has died, we will see a big infestation of mice. Our tom cat isn't into hunting like she was. He will get into a nest of mice and kill the babies, but he's not much for hunting. I need another female that will hunt.
Aleka, isn't it great to get outside again? I was going stir crazy in here. There are just so many things you can do in the house.
HI Anne, hope things are going well with you.
Better get shopping, take care, Nikki
  • Hi there!

We didn't get a chance to go grocery shopping yesterday. My girlfriend came over mid morning, she also is the realtor who is selling the cottage for me. We went over a few things then went out to lunch. When we got back the RE agent for the people buying the cottage called, and I had to go and sign some papers, my girlfriend coming with me. That took most of yesterday.

Today we've started emptying out the cottage and the buyers came by. That is the first time I've met them and they seem very nice. We did a lot today, and we'll go back tomorrow and take some more stuff. We've got all week. Everything is piled in our garage and we'll probably have a garage sale.

Yesterday it got to 85 deg. and it's the same today. They say we may see some rain by tomorrow.

nikki, glad that you got your flowers planted, and yes, it is great to get outside again. Winter is just too darn long. It will be a few weeks before I'll be doing any flower planting as we can still get frost. I've noticed our lilac bushes sprouting leaves and the daylilies have started to sprout on the side of the house where it gets the most sun. Our mayflies/blackflies are out and they are a nuisance.

lynn, hope you're enjoying opening up your camp. When we started cleaning out the cottage we noticed that we've had a few "guests" but, thankfully they've gone.

ANNE, hope you're having a good weekend.

    Take care,
    Aleka
  • I'll start a new thread, see you there!
  • nikki:
