Good morning! It snowed and snowed for two days but the weather was milder - 20F. Today there is no snow but the temps are going back to frigid - way below zero in F or C. Why my ancestors settled in this God-forsaken part of the world, I'll never know! Ireland couldn't have been this bad - even without potatoes.

Neat about the no ads option! I sure don't mind never seeing Dr Phil again or that chick with the tummy that doesn't exist!

Kevin is coming yet again today to work on the cupboard. It's not like he built a new one! He just has enlarged the opening, framed it and will hang sliding doors - this century, I hope! By tonight I expect to have my much diminished wardrobe back in place. Now I need to get those bags of clothing out of here and off to Goodwill. I pitched everything that was sloppy, badly out of style or just not worn a lot. Funny how you just don't relate to some items of clothing once you have them!

On the plan for today? Stick to SBD Phase II. Go to the Library. Go out for lunch. Learn more of my script! No rehearsal for me again until Sunday so I have time to get them down perfectly IF I get to it!

The Christmas crud is ALL packed away now so no more procrastination.

Have a super day!

It's afternoon and I'm home from work. After struggling at the pharmacy for my daughters prescription. GRRR@insurance companies. My backache is slowly going away. I had got to wondering if more water would help--so I down a couple more glasses during work. Hopefully it does the trick.

It's not snowed here yet but I guess we're supposed to get some. Enough for a snowday? lol

Hi Chicklets. I've been slaving away on our company's year end paperwork. No end in sight either. I've simply GOT to come up with a better system for record keeping in our home office. You'd never know I used to be a fairly competent, well organized secretary. I guess I figure it's not as important when you work for your dh. LOL

Last night I tried the Diet Revolution Rolls yet again (third attempt lucky?). This time I added some V ital Wheat Gluten and some Whey powder. It did seem to help them keep their shape better without adding a ton of carbs. I used two of them to make a bacon/cheese sandwich this morning. I just couldn't face an egg today for some reason and figured I got the equivalent in the rolls.

As I suspected, the scale was up a tad this morning, so I'm still not going to claim my loss. Not until the scale is firmly entrenched in the 260s for several days will I be convinced it's for real.

Ruth, you are doing great on SB. Good for you. I'm so glad it's working for you. I guess we all have to experiment and find what works for us. For me, it's definitely the original Atkins Revolution. I have lots more energy and cravings are just a nasty memory.

It's pouring rain here today on the Wet Coast. All our snow from last week has melted away and I have winter heather starting to bloom which is always a welcome sight. I feel so sorry for you folks stuck in the freezing arctic. Better move to Vancouver. LOL

Well, I have now completed 6 days op........ and I'm feeling waaaay
I'm really believing I can get back to this now- thanks LindaBC for reminding me about Atkins '72 - I guess that was what I needed........ Robin, good work on completing your first day back OP - we can continue our counting together!

Thanks L, but dh thinks he won't be considered for the part... the shooting would be out of the country; at the audition, they said that they would only consider actors with currently valid passports, and his passport expired, but he's gonna see if he can get it renewed by Friday........we'll see what happens, it would be an exciting job. (me too, Sex & the City is also one of my faves... I try never to miss it)

I am so tired....... just got home from work a little while ago and am ready to go to bed........... hopefully, tomorrow won't be as long as today was...

gnite chickies......... who's putting up the coffee in the morning? hot, black, strong and LEADED, please.........

Hi all,

Checking in late tonight. I've been busy for the last couple of days. Yesterday as soon as got off work I hurried home, fixed dinner and turned right around and had to go tutor my little guy with leukemia. After that I checked in with my dad. He's been feeling kind of punk. From there I went to the school board meeting and the grocery store. I finally made it home about 10:00. Just in time to get DH out of bed and off to work.

My student had a really rough weekend. Headache and throwing up all weekend from his latest spinal tap. He's had 12 of them since he was diagnosed in October. Our History teacher has twin girls who had leukemia when they were young. He says they only had to have one spinal tap during their whole course of treatment and that was one too many. My guy has had to have one a week for the last two months. I told him we didn't have to work if he wasn't up to it, but he wanted to try. It really wore him out. We had an awards assembly today for 8th graders. My guy and his grandma came. It was the first time he's been in school since he was diagnosed. The kids gave him a standing ovation when his name was called. It brought tears to my eyes. He felt much better today and was giving me a hard time while we tutored. This kid really pulls at my heart.
Other than being busy, this has been a pretty good week. I'm staying OP with the whole foods diet plan, but not seeing much in the way of results yet. I'm trying to be patient, but that never was one of my better qualities.
Good luck to all. Have a great week.

Karla

This is my second week of being OP I had a church dinner here at our house tonight, and the lady who was supposed to bring the dessert wasn't able to get here, so we didn't have dessert but I was secretly glad, cause I'm not sure I could resist a homemade dessert when everyone else was eating it.

I'm still doing great about doing my exercise at the health club. Tuesdays our water class is a walking class, and this was the first class day of the year and we did our benchmark session. We walked 1/2 a mile (20 laps in our pool) and the goal was to make it in under 30 minutes. I made it, not easy, but I did it.

Well that's about all I know tonight. Hope everyone has a great day tomorrow.
