I was going to put some taco seasoning into my fried up hamburger (make a taco salad minus the shell) and noticed there was sugar in the mix. Does that mean ALL sugar is bad?
And also, my husband makes jerky w/a premixed seasoning that contains sugar. So that would be a no-no also?
Depends on how much sugar. i use taco mix but I make sure that I do not over do on other carbs when I have it. just watch the total carbs (minus the fiber) Sugar is not bad but to have it as the only carb you take in is. That is why they recomend the sweetners but even with them there is so much discussion whenis good and which is bad and well I know PP devoted a whole chater to the problems with fake sugars.
ah. ok. so i can have the seasonings and the jerky--in moderation anyway. It's worth a try!!
Bottom line to anything you eat, you have to count the carbs. Weather you can have it or not, its up to you, use your best judgement.
I use the taco seasoning in the packages, I will use just a tablespoon in my ground beef just to give it a little kick.
I hate bland foods and I get bored really quick. Just make sure you read labels.
Like bryers LC ice cream has high frutrose corn syrup in it ?????? that in itself should make you stay away from that product BUT some folk do eat it.
If you find your eating this stuff and your weight is stalling, you'll know why.
Good luck.
