Good Morning All. Back from the dead today, and it's about stinking time. Headed over to GNC on Friday and found some protien powder stuff so that I could start eating again. It worked like a charm, my muscles stopped hurting and I have energy again. The cold is almost history! Still haven't managed to eat a whole lot of solid food yet, just one meal a day so far but the doc told me to do this for a week then start up with the full solids again. So naturally, ratios are a bit high in the protien department but this is me not caring! Haven't even dared work out since last monday but in the next day or two I should be ready to go again.
SIL visit went great, was very nice to see her after a few years. Shame that we ate out so much and my stomach did not want to even have a thing. Life is getting back to normal I dare say and I'm just so glad to get back into my routine, ahhh.
So much has happened in 3 days, out of the loop I am. Hi to everyone and was thinking about you ladies going through some rough spots.
As for Monday weigh in...182! A lot of this is flu weigh loss but after I started with the protien powder I dropped from 185 to 182 so I think my body was just waiting, lol. Anyway, I've been eating since Friday and it's sticking in at 182 so it must be real. That's a grad total of 38 down, I haven't done any measurements but I doubt they will change too much and if anything it's muscle loss anyway. OMG, just realized I'm a half pound past half way, 38 down, 37.5 to go

Ok, lets see whats new........um..........not much
Im going to start working on my moose costume this week. I bought the wire form stuff so that I can make the head. I figured if they can make a tiki fireplace out of chicken wire on monster house, then I can sure enough mold a moose head out of the stuff I'll post pictures if I ever get it done. Should be an interesting week!!
Im off today to get some pictures of moose silhouettes so that I can paint them along the bottom of the store.....sort of leading ppl into the doorway I want them to walk in!! It should look pretty good.
Im starting my 3rd week of BFL and Im feeling very good about it!! Im already getting tired of all the prep work for it. Its alot of cooking and planning. But they say its worth it in the end....I'll let you know!
I am feeling much better this week already! WOO HOO! The back pain is gone and I am ready to hit the gym today! I am bummed that I didnt make my work out goal last week, but The feeling better was worth it!
Tummy - I am so glad you are feeling better! And WTG on your WI! That is so great! I am goig to be weighing in now in a few minutes. I have discovered that if I weigh after I am up for an hour or so that the scale shows less. I can never eat right away anyway!
Robin - WTG on your BFL! I havent read much about it so I didnt know that there was a lot of Prep work! I am excited to hear how your first month goes!

As for me, it is Monday and I start another busy week! I drive the carpool every morning this week, so I have NO EXCUSES for not going to the gym afterwards! NONE!
Speaking of No Excuses, has anyone here read the book No More Excuses by Tawni Gomes ? She follows Oprah Winfry's Making the Connection Program but the book talks mostly about overcoming obsticals that come your way. I am reading it now again for the 2nd time! It is very helpful for me!
my eating has been on track. 7 weeks and counting! next monday not only do I weigh in, but I also get to measure again! WOO HOO!

Gail Day is a special day, Karen. It's when my wonderful cleaning woman arrives and does FlyLady to my house. She loves coming here because I am so tidy, she says, so I always make sure all is in order before she arrives. It is silly to clean before a cleaning person comes but I do think it's necessary to tidy. How the heck can she clean otherwise?
The Girls and I have been for our walk to get the paper for Harry and I've done a wee bit of cutting back perennials outside. It looks like rain so I'll be tackling the tomatoes, pepper and pears in my kitchen after lunch - before the fruit flies take over!
Gotta go - someone has pulled into the lane. We have lots of drop-in callers these days. It's good stimulation for Harry but sure buggers up my schedule!
I have been all over the Buffalo area, and hit every single fabric store!!!!!!!!!!! NOT one of these stores has dark brown fake fur!! They have white, pink, purple, and animal print, but NO BROWN! I even got one snarky lady in Hancock Fabrics that pointed out the fact that I wasnt in JoAnne's Fabrics. So I asked her if she spoke to all her customers that way, and walked out. Of course this only added to my aggrevation about finding something so simple! I need a FabricLand!!!!!!!! I suppose a trip over the ditch is in order.
Good morning everyone - hope everyone had a wonderful weekend. Didn't lose and didn't gain this past week. I'm still down 5 pounds, which is good. Last Sunday I was sweating really bad, so I think I sweat out too much fluids and it came back . . .

OK.. I am down another pound this week... but then after I went to the gym and before my shower, I got on the scale and it showed another pound down?! I guess I sweated out another pound! LOL! I am taking the first number and then seeing what happens this week! I am trying to focust on getting down to 180 right now! Even with the pumpkin challenge, I am still taking it in 10 pound increments..
I went to the pool early this morning to work out my disappointment after my confrontation with the scale. Darned thing just refuses to budge no matter how hard I try. I'm getting very discouraged, Chicks. No way am I giving up though. I just can't figure out what the heck is wrong with me that this woe doesn't work for me the way it works for others OR the way it used to work for me. Even the tape measure showed increases instead of losses, probably due to the Body Flex increasing muscle mass under my flab. Well, I do feel tighter where I didn't even know I still had muscles so this probably accounts for the lack of weight loss and possibly explains why the tape measure is showing me expanding instead of contracting. Darn it all anyhow though! Body Flex PROMISES incredible loss of inches all over. Why isn't it happening for me?

It's a lovely day here and I should be in the garden but I'm bogged down with company paperwork. Maybe later I'll go and tackle some weeds and take out my frustrations on finished perennials.

UGH!!! going off plan has wrecked havock with my indigestion!!! and well my total feeling. I have been dong good workouts atleast half of the time. I think a good BFL challenge is a good idea, but I hate the cardio!!! so maybe just a modified BFL????
Hi all!!! I am hanging in there but doing poorly when it comes to later in the day! Ruth I think I need a gail day too, but i will say with the two of the kids gone it is getting easier to get cought up. except that we are expecting the state to walk into work so we are going full force to get cought up with everything and make sure that things are done and ready for them. SIGH> my first run with being in my position I just hope that I survive and we get through with colors let alone with flying colors.
Sue~ you know you cant skip the cardio!! I hate the cardio too, but instead Ive picked a route on my walk that has a pretty good hill, and I hoof it up there. Works perfect....Im about to drop when I get to the top of it, and yup, it takes me a little more than 3 min to climb it. There must be something you enjoy that you can tweak for 3 min to get to your 10

Linda, great attitude! Don't give up. I'm losing about like you...I walked my BUTT off this past week and I haven't lost anything...our time will come! If we give up, THEN where will we be?
