Angry New girl

Hi, I'm new here I just wanted to introduce my self. My name is Mia I'm 23, married but no kids yet I just started Atkins about 2 months ago so far I've lost 25 pounds and I feel so much better my clothes are getting baggy and people are starting to notice my weight loss. Is anyone out there doing the atkins diet? If so how long have you been on it? How much have you lost on it?
Thanks for your time....
Mia

Hi, Mia. Let me be the first to welcome you to a very friendly and supportive site. Many of us are on Atkins, myself included. Why don't you join us on the daily thread where we chat about our lives, kids, hubbies as well as our diets.
Then there's the Great Pumpkin Challenge which just started last week. We have 8 weeks to achieve a short term goal.
It sounds like you are well on your way to your goal. Congratulations and good luck.

Hi Mia. Another Atkins follower here. Welcome welcome. I hope you find this site as helpful and supportive as it has been for the rest of us. Definitely wonder over to the daily, that's were most of the action is. I'm coming up on 2 months on low carb, I started July 13, 2003, and Atkins specifically Aug 4. So far I've lost 31.5lbs (yes I'm counting ever ounce ) Congrats on the first chunk coming off it is a wonderful feeling. WTG.

Welcome!

I've been doing Atkins for 51 days and have lost 17 pounds. It is coming off slowly, but this is a plan that I have no trouble sticking to. I don't mind a slow loss. The daily thread is filled with lots of good advice, understanding and humor. Join us there. Good luck!

You're doing great. I'm a slow loser but am determined to stick with it. It's a struggle at times but some of my co-workers are on Atkins so I ask them lots of questions. fullfig encouraged me to join this site. So far it has been everything she said it was. Good luck!

Good luck to you Mia! I've lost 18 pounds now. I weigh daily also. A friend of mine at work weighs daily and puts it on a spread sheet so he can see his ups and downs. He also has it to calculate his average for the week. He says this helps him stay on track. I'm gonna start a spreadsheet for myself next week.

hi mia! i am new to this group, too. i am on atkins - definitely the best for me. i feel (digestively) terrible when i eat too many carbs.

what a great feeling that will be to see 199 - something about getting just under those major marks that is such a joy!

i find it's best for me if i only weigh once a month, right smack in between my TOM's. otherwise i go up and down too much with the water gain and that bums me out and increases my chances of cheating. i feel i can actually see my true weight loss by weighing at this time.

welcome!

hi yoohoo!!! & welcome aboard to you also. I think atkins is the best way for me to go as well, the first few days were tourture but it's gotten alot easier. my biggest down fall was pepsi & cereal. drinking about 6 cans a day and it wasnt even diet!!! cereal- i would some times eat it for breakfast lunch dinner & snack time. now i only drink tea w/ sugar sub & tons of water.
i havent had cereal in over 2 mo.(started atkins july 6 03) and i really dont miss it.. well best of luck to u talk with you soon!!!

How depressing! 25 lbs in 2 months... 31.5 since August.... I'm so jealous! I've been on Atkins since the end of July, and I've only lost 14 lbs. What gives? How come you guys are kicking my ***????
