I am doing better on water....still chugging a load of Crystal Light, but getting in more water and less Diet Coke. Food is doing great and so is exercise. I promise to load up FitDay tonight and post carbs with my daily menu!

Karen, WTG on the exercise! I bet you'll see a bigger loss next week also.

Oh yeah, forgot - my weigh in was the same....sigh. This is one long plateau! This is my off week for birth control pills, so hoping it is water. I can't remember when that is supposed to happen, LOL! I had a hysterectomy 5 years ago, but I take birth control pills to keep my ovarian cysts at bay. Is this the week I am supposed to be bloated? Gosh, I feel like I'm 13!

on day six of induction, i am 8 lbs down. i am so thrilled. i don't have problems with getting my water in. i just haven't been exercising--just plowing through mountains of boxes. have a great week!

WEIGH IN
Well, I've been weighing every day so it's no surprise to me that I haven't lost a thing this first week of the challenge. I've been journalling in FitDay and seldom go over 1600 calories (at my current weight I should lose on that no matter what the carbs are :?: :?: ) and my carbs are generally under 20 gr a day. I'm gradually increasing my water and lately it's been around 50 oz a day which, I know, isn't enough but it seems to be all that my poor beleaguered bladder can handle. I could also improve on my exercise which is pretty pathetic still. I did get to the pool Friday and this morning and work out pretty hard when I'm there but I need to do more. I just don't MOVE enough, I guess.
I also think I have to cut back on artificially sweetened treats even though I'm staying under 20 gr per day.
So, back to the old drawing board and Week 2 of the Challenge coming up.
I'll start a new daily thread for the Challenge tonight so look for it tomorrow morning.

I'm in... call me ambitions or just plain disallusioned... but I am going for 100 pounds by FRIGHT NIGHT! Muahhhahahahaha!

Just kidding... I'll stretch it to 20 pounds... hey I'm still on induction... it could happen!

Weigh in after a bit of a naughty weekend
 
Got on the scales this morning and thought I would have put on at least 5lbs but no, only 1lbs - which is great as I had so many naughty foods over the weekend (finished off the weekend with a pizza and some cookies ... mad!!!:dizzy:

Going to try and be really good this week ;) so that I will have lost a few lbs ahead of our Italian holiday next week ...

I have to say that even though I sometime platue I don't feel like chucking it in .. this diet really does suit me ...

I nearly forgot Tueday weigh in, oppsy, down to 188.5, TOM is nearly over so I dropped a bit, was even up to 191 yesterday, this morning was a nice surprise. Exercise is still going ahead 100%. All's good on challenge front.

Karen, next week! You're almost there.

Hope everyone else is doing well on weigh in day.

Hi, I just joined this site yesterday... Can I please join this challenge? I know I'm about a week behind but my goal would be to lose 15 lbs by Holloween This would put me under the 200 mark :) 199 to be exact. I'm doing atkins but I must confess :devil: I cheat on Saturday and even sometimes on Sunday... This is something I also want to work on...
Good Luck everyone!!! Do we weigh in on Monday or Tuesday???

Im in. I've been on Atkins since 24 June 2003 (12 weeks) and have lost 17 pounds. I'd like to lose 20 pounds by then. At the rate I'm going 10 would be more realistic but I'm gonna shoot for 20.

Welcome, Mia! You certainly can join! You can weigh in on Mondays, but if you miss, Tuesday is acceptable too! We're flexible chicks!

Linda- The more insulin resistant you are, the more exercise you will have to do to lose weight. I can't remember the technical medical reasons off the top of my head, but it's true...I have recently become Miss Dedicated to the treadmill and will hopefully bust my plateau this week. If I do, then we'll know it was the treadmill that did it. Maybe if you knock it up a notch, you'll see a loss too?
