Question Atkins Syrups--has anyone tried them?

I was going down the aisle in HyVee today and was surprised to find some Atkins products. They have sugar free pancake syrup, four different bread mixes and two kinds of muffin mixes. They also had flavored syrups. Chocolate, Strawberry, and Hazelnut.

I was just wondering if anyone has tried them and how did you like them?

How did you use them? How do they effect weight loss? I know the Atkins bars can have a negative effect.

Thanks for any information.

So far, the only Atkins product that I've liked has been the Indulge bars. The local vitamin store finally got in the syrups but at $14 a bottle, I don't think so!!

I've tried the bars, of course, but the only other Atkins branded item I've tried is the BBQ sauce. It's okay in a pinch (when I absolutely must have sauce, due to overly dry meat or such), but it has far too much of the raw Splenda taste/aftertaste to me. Yeah, I'm one of those that doesn't care much for Splenda, unless it's cooked. The taste disagrees with me too much.

Locally, here are the prices I've found for the rest, if you are curious.

Bread/muffin mixes: Around $6-7
Pancake mixes: Around $10
Pancake syrup: Around $9
Flavoring syrups: Around $14
BBQ/Marinade/Steak sauces: Around $4-5

The prices are just far too outrageous. If I really need something, I'll just make it myself.

We have relatively no Atkins products at any of our local stores here but I haven't checked the specialty food stores yet as I fear finding things I'll want and as still being on induction no need to test myself. However, a friend of mine is a big fan of the syrup (Strawberry in particular) but she loves splenda, she could probably eat it raw out of the box.

Went to the health food store looking for low carb mixes and such, found a loaf of low carb bread 2 g per slice at $7.99 for a loaf!!!!!!! Don't miss bread that much! I have not tried any other low carb items, I just use what I have on hand.

Hi everyone!

WalMart is carrying alot of the bars and candy etc. If you have a Bi-Lo or a Publix they carry a full line of Atkins products and they are quite reasonable - I got the Chocolate syrup in Florida at Publix for 5.99 in June.

The meal replacment bars are kinda gross. One or two are ok. The breakfast bars are nice, but not filling. The Endulge choclates ROCK. My husband loves the gummy candies. I think all the low carb breads and pastas (bread mix included) are nasty. The waffle/pancake mix is like a very spongy egg. I don't like it, my husband loves it. The syrup is sweet, but very runny. It's like sweet brown water. We do like the muffin and brownie mixes - the muffins are great if you're having a few days where you need a little more fiber. The brownies have like 9 carbs each and that's a little much for me, but they are tasty.

Edited to add - the only thing that has negativly impacted our weight loss has been the AdvantEdge meal replacment bars - I was in a three week stall which started with my first and ended with my last. They taste pretty nasty anyway (the PB and Cookies and Cream ones are ok and they're easy to grab - that's how I ended up having one a day).

I haven't even seen anything other than the bars and the powder shake mix. The mix is 20 for one container... NO WAY!!!

I have one of the Carbolite candy bars a day, they are net 1-3 carbs and are small. I usually split into 4ths and nibble through out the day. Any more than one and I don't lose any weight, but just one doesn't impact the weight loss.

I tried a carbolite bar today. It was really good. it might become my once in a blue moon treat. After getting stalled with Advantage bars I'm kind of gun shy about low carb treats.
