Well ladies, seems we're all late risers today, or early risers waiting for someone to start this thread so I'll bite. Already had a cup of coffee but heck I'm good for another.

Does someone have a air plane I could borrow, because I have some sky writing to do this morning, I'M IN ONEDERLAND. Oppsy shouting it again! Had a fabulous morning, obviously, did a little dance in the bathroom.

But it's off to work and another scorcher ahead.

Happy monday ladies and Brad.

Ahh, someone remembered me again! Thanks! And congrats on Onederland, Tummy!

Well, I have no clue how I turned out yesterday. My mother and I ate out at an Outback last night. A nice ribeye with grilled broccoli and squash. My only possible sin: cheese and broccoli soup. I love the stuff, so had to have a cup. The most the waitress could tell me was that it was a cream-based soup, so I think I did okay. I did decide to try Outback's web site last night and see if they had any nutritional info, but, of course, nothing. I emailed them to see if they'd disclose anything. I'll pass it on here if they ever respond.

I'm wrapping up week #2. After a well-done first week, I decided to try to add in a couple things this week (just more items, not more carbs, of course). I had more of the 1- and 2-carb shakes this week than the previous, and the same on the 2-carb bars. I had had a couple of them the first week, without it seeming to affect me.

So much for that. So far I'm on track for about a 2lb loss this week, compared to 8lb the first week. I'm not discouraged at all, though. If I could ever find our clothing tape measure, I'd probably find I've lost at least an inch or two.

Starting tomorrow (since it's the 'anniversary' day for my start of induction). I'm going to try to follow the induction 'ok' list more strictly, and get rid of the shakes/bars. I haven't really gone off the list much at all otherwise, but I want to see what effect it really has on me for the next week or two.

Congrats tummy!
I was wondering if someone could comment on why Atkins bars are not that good for low carb living. I finished induction on South Beach and was planning to incorporate the bars into my diet for breakfast (I am burned out on eggs). Is this not a good idea???

Way to Go Tummy!!

JackieO - although the bars have only 2 (or 3) NET carbs, some people are sensitive to the other carb ingredients in them. Also, your body still has to burn off the carbs, even if it doesn't induce an insulin response or affect your ketosis. I use the bars as an occasional breakfast and I always have one with me as an "emergency snack".

All right chicks, I've been lolling about the last two weeks, not really cheating but not doing great either. TIME TO BEHAVE!! I have been having way too many diet sodas and sf hard candies and I have been gaining and losing the same 2 pounds since the beginning of the month. So, starting today I'm going to go back to drinking LOTS of water and proper meals (they been kinda lax too - not off plan but not the most appealing or balanced food).

My exercise doesn't really get revved up until Sept when I go back to dropping the kids off and heading to the gym (my membership is on hold until Sept) but I do have a new Pilates tape that I need to be doing!

In that spirit (and to fill in, at least a little, for Ruth) I'm off to work in my garden. The weeds are having a field day and I bought a bunch of new things (mostly mums and some perennials) on Saturday so I need to start getting them in the ground.

Hi to -L who should be travelling today. Hope DH's back is doing better - call me and we'll set up a movie date.

Any news about Peach? Just home on a quick lunch break. I would like to take this moment to say

I FINALLY LOST 10 POUNDS!!!!!!!!!!!

Sheesh! What a long haul to get this far! It has taken me 4 weeks to lose these most recent 4 pounds. Yayyyy! Now I am so excited that I don't want to eat my '5 pound carb meal'. Every 5 pounds I get to eat carbs. That probably won't last long!

Well, Tummy...great job!!! I love to see these threads because it lifts everyone's spirits so high!!

I have been following kfs151's lead with my own low-carb diet, sf candies, though few, and if a bun happens to be around a brat I will eat it. I have not gained anything and have lost 1lb, in 4 weeks, so I need to get back into it and really follow it again. Not necessarily the induction but at least no more candies... I am going to get the shakes and bars today, just to have something at the office and in my purse that I can have in case I get stranded. I want this weight to come off and it just hasn't been. It's my own motivational factor that is lacking, but this week is the week that I need to get going again!! I am going to buy TONS of water for the week at work and run at night again!! Getting to 170 was great, but I would love to feel the 160's again soon!!!

Well, as posted in the 5 week challenge thread, I have lost 9 lb on Induction. This is good for me but it's recently gained blub. I have about 10 lb to go before I get into the long term, well entrenched (virgin) fat.
Brad, you will get used to us. I bet you've been wondering who that fellow TOM is who causes all the Chicks to gain weight.
Glad to see that you and Tummy are both doing so well.

I have decided no more Atkins bars for me. I bought four of the Indulge Peanut Butter Cups last week and ate them all in a few days. Of course, there are only three tiny little candies in each package but I enjoyed them too much.

I'm going to stay on Induction until I get down another 10 lb.

I'm so glad to hear that Peachie is out of surgery. I hope all goes well for her in recovery.

Welcome to ONEderland, Tummy. Would you please take a look around and tell me if I'm still there? LindaBC offered to let me weigh at her place but I refused so the suspense will mount until I get home on Friday.

I'm so glad to hear that our Peachie is over the operation and on the way to the new chapter in her life. She will sure get lots of support from Jiff and the rest of us chicks.

Good going, Brad, Jennifer, Karen, LindaBC and any other loser I've missed. I hope top join you soon. The rest of us just have to hang in.

Lunchtime here. My DD is being very considerate of my eating plan. What a sweetheart! I'll try to check in before I start home on Thursday.

Nah, I figured that bit out by that second posting I saw it mentioned in. At least it's something I don't have to worry about!

I just figured out what Onederland is and I sure would like to reside there soon. Congrats Tummy! This board is such an inspiration. I really like the fitday website but it sure did make a few extra carbs that I was missing come to light. With a very low carb dinner tonight I will actually be over my induction amount of carbs by about 6 today. Ouch!! Well, at least now I will go in and plan tomorrow out tonight and should do better with the carbs. It's really bad when you are just about out of carbs before dinner!! Thanks for the advice on planning your day's menu on the fitday website Tummy. Well, first week done and I've lost 6 #'s. I'm feeling better and more comitted to this everyday.

Hi everyone, I am trying to get back on track after a month of craziness. I did the frig clean-out and made burgers for the freezer and bought extra eggs for hb. All the newbies have got me inspired!

i spoke to Jiff today, she'll post more after seeing her tonight!

I didn't do great today(my first day "back") but picked up chicken wings at Dominoes so I'd have something fast and legal for tonight. These first few "hungry"days are hard! Tomorrow will be better

later,
dottie
