Im hoping to get to know you all and learn lots of things ... I hope to contribute as well, my hrs at work are Krazy but when I have the time this is the first place I will visit !! thanks for listening ... Noël

There's a great post around here somewhere about the Zone, let me see if I can find it for you.

Aha! Here it is:

Talking Hi Noel !

And welcome!

I know very little about the Zone. I think Dottie did it or tried it for awhile, but not sure.

The thing I would like to remind you is that no matter what LC woe you chose to follow, please remember to keep you protein and water the priority!

You truly are best to get the book. I'm sure your local library would have several of the LC books available for your review. Or check out the web sites for additional insite. If you continue to "eyeball it" you're missing out on such valuable info.

Giving up the "junk" is always a good thing. And all the white "stuff"! Flour, sugars, breads/breadings, potatoes, rice, noodles, etcc.. Oh, but how nice to have real cream in your coffee! And wonderful cheese! yum! But you need to be educated on your veggies, also. And water, water, water. Very much a part of this woe!

Best of luck and looking forward to getting to know you!

J

Sometimes one plan isn't a one size fits all--sop around for different plans if you're finding the Zone doesn't work for you. Plenty of support on this forum so keep on coming back

Yup, I tried it Janice. read THE ZONE< and Mastering the Zone. I think you should loose 5 lbs just as a reward for getting thru these books!

DH liked it. you have to know the per gram measurements of the 'blocks' and how many blocks to eat in a day. Basically it means tiny bits of fat with low carb and some proteins. but I found it WAAAAY too restrictive, and not fun. You have to have most of your carbs in veggies, and the amounts were really big. I think there are easier ways to do LC eating.

But it's really healthy! It was just too boring for me, when you can do Protein Power and eat more yummy things( steak, buttered veggies, salad dressing, hamburger etc).

good luck, and keep on posting,
dottie
