Talking The Good, The Bad...and the...

not so bad! On Day 10 of induction and trying to hang in.

Had a very busy workday and headache...don't think I ate enuf.
Came home hungry and tired, and ate TWO SALT & VINEGAR POTATO CHIPS (I cannot tell a lie, they tasted very good).

Tried to snap out of it by eating a can of sardines before dinner (even tho I did not feel like making anything). Cooked up some hot dogs for supper and made a salad, but in the interim - ate TWO BIG SPOONFULS of son's macaroni and cheese!!! Yikes.

I decided I had better eat dinner ASAP so I had two hot dogs and salad w/italian dressing.

Now for the good news:

Went with a group of friends to a cooking demonstration and I DID NOT EAT A THING....it was amazing. They were passing around trays of salmon skewers and chicken skewers (which I probably could eat without the accompanying sauces) but I said no thanks.

The weirdest was standing RIGHT NEXT TO A PLATTER OF MOUTH WATERING, BEAUTIFULLY DECORATED PASTRIES and not even wanting one! I looked at them, ya they were very pretty , but did not even care to eat one (even avoided the chocolate dipped strawberries).

Normally I would have been plotting as soon as I got into the room, how I would eat some....eat a lot of them actually, and where to place myself...and I would just obsess about this kind of thing!!!

I did have a decaf coffee and cream with me at the beginning and I sipped it while everyone else sampled the food!

So the moral of the story is??? what exactly? don't be hungry and tired and headachey when you get home or you may make mistakes? Eat properly and you can avoid misfortune.

Default You're right!!!

You got the right word - FREE!

Free at last, I am free at last!

That's exactly how I felt - was trying to describe it to dh when I got home - (he wanted to know why I didn't bring him back a plate if I wasn't going to eat it.... )

I just didn't care - and it didn't matter, and yes normally I would be licking the knife and plotting how to get another piece...

Freedom is good (now if I could only control the potato chip thing! ha ha)

I am on the same day as you Froufy--so yes-I get what you are saying!!!

My downfall is potato chips-and green onion is just to die for-today my dd was eating some and left the bag on the table....I picked it us--looked in it--sawa bunch of crumbs-and thre it away! Any other time I would have been straightening that bag out-had it tipped up to my mouth and licking the crumbs!!
Not Today!
