Default Ingrediant help

Hi everyone,

I came across a LC recipe for Toasted seasoned nuts and one of the ingrediants is 1/2 tsp sale. I have looked in several spice dictionarys and cookbooks and cannot find a reference to this. Does anyone know what sale is?

That is what I first thought also, but the recipe has seasoned salt in it and quite a bit of it.
When I did a search I found another recipe with the same ingrediant, but no way to contact the poster on it.

Here is the recipe...I can probably get away without it, but was curious as to what it was.

Toasted Seasoned Nuts – posted by Barbara Ashley
2 tablespoons butter

1 teaspoon seasoned salt

1 teaspoon seasoned pepper

1/2 teaspoon garlic powder

1/2 teaspoon sale

1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper

1 cup whole almonds

1 cup pecan halves

1 cup walnut halves

Preheat oven to 300. Melt butter in large skillet. Stir in spices. Stir in nuts to coat. Pour in a rimmed baking sheet and spread in a single layer. Bake for 10 minutes. Stir and bake 10 minutes longer or until lightly toasted. Cool and store in an airtight container.

My guess is sage too.

DH would vote to season with Lemon Pepper, he'd put that stuff on cereal if I'd let him. I vote Basil. I love basil.

I like basil too, probably one of my favorite green spices!

sage makes more sense than just about anything. especially since this is a savory batch of nuts, not sweet.
