Default Starting Atkins

Hi, everyone! I'm back to these boards, after much time away.

I'm starting Atkins today, and just wondered who is also following it, and your progress so far.

I started it once before, but only lasted a day. I guess I just wasn't ready. But now I am, and look forward to any advice you ladies (and gents) can pass on.

Thanks!

Hi Ruby, and welcome!!

I started last october and have been pretty successful. Its easy to do. Ive moved on to phase 2 and have added some berries and melons. I still keep my carbs below 40, because the carbs sneak up on me and cause pretty bad cravings.

Angry Hi Ruby!

I'm just finishing my second week of induction this weekend.

First week went reallky well and I lost 6 pounds. I didn't go through any headaches or serious cravings and kept busy. I think maybe I got a little too sure of myself because of the adventure of it all and, of course, the quick weight loss.

Have had a few backslides this second week (i.e., the entire bag of microwave lite popcorn I inhaled last night around midnight). Part of it is that I am now on vacation and have more "down" time to think about food and what I miss. That plus being in the house with all the rain.

HOWEVER - it is now sunny out (though still cool) and I have lots of things to do outside and since I am without a car for the next 3 weeks - it will all be done on foot.

So - I am recommitted to Induction by the Book today!

Have a great one.

Lemonade

Hello and thank you for sharing your stories!

It is definitely a struggle, and I know it won't be easy, but I really want to do it this time. (Don't we all!).

So thanks again for the welcome and support.
