Good Morning Everyone

Im up early as you can see......Im off to make coffee, I'll be back in a bit

...Ok Im back. Coffee is hot and leaded......grab a cup Chicken in the oven, watermelon all carved and browsing thru some lc recipes for something exciting for supper tonight.

Yesterday had to be the strangest day at the store, for a tuesday, it was very very busy. Hubby had a huge sign laid out on the floor and any time he started working on it, ppl came in and were walking all around him...lol poor bugger. I told him we were going to do this more often, it was good for business lol

Got my 55 min walk in yesterday, and managed to get hubby to come with me again after supper for a 30 min walk. On the way home he wanted to stop and pick up something to drink, usually something sugary, he bought it, but I managed to talk him out of the popcorn he was planning on having with it and I noticed the drink is still in the fridge untouched. He isnt over weight, but he had a quad-bypass some years ago, and I want to keep him with me as long as I can.

They are calling for rain all day today here, but the sun is shining pretty good so far.....who knows. I hope everyone has a great day

Robin

Good morning, Robin, and all to come. Good idea about the sign on the floor, Robin.

I got caught up in the coffee, a minor disaster, special doggie breakfasts and muddy paw routine this morning. It's raining here but today was supposed to be a sunny day!

Well, there are no purple dresses in all of Eastern Ontario! Wrong time of year for deep colours! So I ended up in FabricLand and bought the darn fabric to make it. I already have a pattern that I've used before so..... after music lesson this morning, I'll pre-shrink the fabric and then cut. Grrrr! I've not yet dealt with the red hat problem. I may be spray painting a straw garden hat and tiddling it up! The good news is the fabric was on sale - buy 1, get 2 free - so I saved a bundle. $30 bucks for the dress and jacket plus notions.

Harry picked out a very elaborate shrimp dish to make last night. I think he looks for ones with the most ingredients! He was stalling, waiting for me to make it, and didn't start to cook until 7:30! Dinner at 9 is elegant but.... Anyhow, during morning coffee prep, Miss Lucy grabbed the recipe book and tore out and ripped up the page! I've not told Harry yet. It actually was a very good dish so I will try to reconstruct it. Shrimp and feta!

I am going to take a quick shower, practice my piano (first time in 2 weeks) and then take off for my lesson. Part of me kind of hopes it stays rainy so I can sew without longing to be outdoors but there is a heck of a lot to be done out there. One summer I planted by moonlight. I felt very Earth Mothery!

By the way, I've stayed right on plan for two whole days! It's a miracle!

Havea super Hump Day!

Morning chicks,

Not quite so blue today, but the issues have not gone away. I just have to learn to cope.

Ruth, it is rainy here also, and it was supposed to be nice!

Have a nice day ladies.

Morning-
Notice I did not "Good" Morning But it is morning.

I am off plan today-for no apparant reason that I can think of--how is this weight ever going to come off if I can't stay OP for the 2-week Induction at least??????? I know that was a rhetorical question--I am getting soooo very frstrated with myself though.

Can you tell I am PMS'ing?? Unfortunately I PMS 2 weeks out of every month so that is really no excuse!

Robin-keep using that stratedgy(sp) until it quits working!
Ruthie--we want to see pix of you in your purple dress--sounds wonderful-I had to get my neighbor to make a poodle skirt for Alyssa's recital--I wish I could sew-I actually almost flunked Home-Ec....yes it IS possible!
DonDar (((((((HUGS))))))) to you.....I don't know the cause of your bluedom, but I hope it resolves itself soon, just hug your beautiful children and thank God for them, that may help you feel better.
Pooky--Singing at 5:30--you have your own little birdie in your house!
Well, I am off to wallow in Carbs...hopefully it gets better from here.

Hi all. The rain finally caught up with us this morning. I made my 75 mile commute in pouring rain but bonus was that I found a mixed tape I made 10 years ago and listened all the way. It sure brought back some memories. My secretary brought in some cut lilacs from her lilac tree and she had them in a little mason jar on my desk for me when I came it - I LOVE the smell of lilacs (she insisted that "everyone loves lilacs") and it has really perked up this rainy day!

Robin, what kind of store do you and your husband have?

Ruth, what's the purple dress for?

Jenny - sorry to hear you have been down. I was thinking about you yesterday as my husband argued about money and chores and the kids... Men are truly very difficult creatures to co-habitate with. Hope you're feeling better soon.

Pooky, my two usually go to bed at 7:15 - last night they laughed and giggled in their cribs for literally HOURS! I was falling asleep listening to them laugh their little fool heads off last night! Let's just say that when I went to wake them at 6:30 this morning, there was NO singing going on. Just a lot of whining!

Well, I've pretty much been eating an Atkins bar for breakfast, salad and chicken for lunch an Atkins bar for afternoon snack and meat + salad for dinner. I feel like I'm on a desert island - I keep imagining all the things I wish I could eat. Potato chips are at the top of my list right now. I have to do this cold turkey. NO sugar, bread, pasta or potatoes at all. Does this get any easier?

Have a nice day ladies!

Greetings from the Pacific Northwest! So proud of myself yesterday. After my walk I trimmed up a tree that grows withbranches to the fround! I thnk it's suppose to grow that way. A very odd ornamental type tree. Well when I pruned it up the neighbors had a fit at how good it looked. They didn't even know the tree was hiding 4 huge ornamental boulders. We had put the boulders there 21 years ago but the tree got too big. Anyway now that side of the yard looks way more landscaped. I got to trim the heather and do a little fix up in that corner now today.

Ruthie I don't know if youy ever order from catalogues but Romoans has lovely purple dressees all the way to sz 26. I ordered one in March for my brothers wedding. It fit to a T.

Robin what a walk. I know a bunch of you are walking further than I. I can't walk more than a half an hour without hurting so bad I want to die I'm hoping to build that up tho!

Amhlawer let me tell you it does get easier. Pretty soon all those sugery things are a distant memory as the weight starts falling off. Hang in there girl!

Pooky my son wakes me up every morning at 5:45 so I pull him in bed and nurse him till 6:30. I got to quit this tho. He's 30 months and everybodys having a fit that I'm still nursing!!

I've been doing excellent on my diet. Eating the same meals every da was the ticket for me. If your interested in hearing about it jsut click on my journal and read away!!!

Hi all!

I wrote a long post and lost it! So, here I go again!

Hi Robin, Pooky, Ruth, MisD, Jenny, Peach, Amhlaw, Wishing and Scooby- nice to see everyone!

I've been out of town(FL) emptying our house for renters, and driving back up to NY with DH(special!) and just plain not eating well. Well, actually, I'm eating well, just too well! Somehow I can't post much when my day is oatmeal, bagel, apple, juice, (a little chicken) cookie, cookie, ziti, (a small burger) and hershey bar. Not exactly the model LC daily plan!

But it's not been too bad, just dealing with the problem of hunger- I know perfectly well if I am going to eat carbs, even "healthy" carbs like fruit and oatmeal, then I will need to refuel every two hours. It's like clockwork- half a bagel with peanut butter? two hours later, I want the other half! Not the chicken and salad I brought to work! WHEN DO I LEARN?

Not much else, we are waiting on the bank, and hope to close on the new house in June. Glad the house hunting is over, and starting to pack up a few things, and clean up. Big yard sale needed! Who wants to help? Pooky and Ruth have to come paint, put down floors and sew drapes( can you do roman shades, Ruth?)

I'd better post this before I get kicked off Compuserve!

be good chickens,

dottie
