Default DAILY CLUCK - Thursday, April 17

Hey! No Tazcat first thing! I wonder if that means the grandbaby has arrived. What a nice Easter/Passover gift that would be.

It's brightening up in the East and looks like a sunny day is on the way. It has to be an improvent on yesterday's 0ºC and hail that Pooky sent our way. I did NOT work outside but did pot some herbs and morning glories indoors. This morning I hope to finally get my garden caddy cart thingie put together. I need a boyfriend for this kind of job!

We also go to the doc this morning for the results of H's biopsy and the blood test results for us both. Cross your fingers for me, chickies.

Lucy is yipping so Hershey and I are going downstairs to start the coffee and crank up the day.

Have a good one!

Morning all!

Just returned from a short business trip. I am glad to be home, but I did enjoy my trip. I was able to pick up some continueing education credits for my certification program in medical records. I also did some self pampering, I bought a candle an a rose to keep in my hotel room, I brought framed pictures of my boys, and a set of lavender goodies from Bath & Body Works. No one else pampers me nowadays so I will do it for my self.

It is cold and pouring rain today. It is in the forties, earlier this week it was 84!

Yesterday was day 1 of the Pfizer takeover of Pharmacia, I am a Pharmacia employee in limbo. Many have been told they have jobs, many have been told that they do not, I have been told nothing. So I am just sitting and waiting, keeping my fingers crossed.

Have a great op day!

Morning all! I think Monday is going to be a better day to start induction again. Too much Easter candy this weekend, and DH is going out of town next week. That would be a great time to start, just incase I get moody. LOL

Hi all,
A good seder last night. Little man did such a great job reading the 4 questions! Older boy did them in Hebrew ( good to know that tuition isn't going to waste) and we all stuffed ourselves silly!
I gave away most of the food, put what was left in the freezer and kept a little matzo ball soup out for ME!!!

The south beach diet sounds interesting. I like the idea of lower fat, although I have to say I have not read it that thoroughly. I will leave it to kfs to read and translate for me.

THe weather is cool today, only in the 40's but the sun is shinning and that makes the world OK!
Have a good one chickies,
-L

Good afternoon everyone, just a quick one today since I have to run and get supper ready.

M was sick to her stomach at midnight last night and I was up shampooing carpets and cleaning bed linens till about 2 am. Got the dog's stitches out, M is on the couch and not moving too much. Slight fever and holding down a wee bit of food. Laundry laundry laundry to clean up the linens and last few bits of clothes and total kitchen tidy up.

Hope you have a good day everyone ((HUGS)) to need 'em to those who had a great day, to those with SH's, prayers to those who can use them!

I'm feeling blue about the death of Dr. Atkins. What a smart and very congenial fellow he was!
Big congratulations to Taz on the birth of her newest grandson.
Babies are so sweet. This morning I volunteered for two hours at a baby clinic. My partner and I measured and weighed the babies and then the public health nurses gave them their shots. We sure had some cutie-pies, all ranging from just a few months to about 18 months. We even had twin girls, about 3 months old with lots of black hair and even their parents had trouble telling them apart. Makes me even more eager to greet our newest grandbaby but still many months to wait for that.
I was out digging out dandelions this afternoon during a brief sunny period between showers. Our lawn squishes like a swamp. I sure wish all this rain would stop so I could get some much needed weeding done.
I have started South Beach Diet and have lost a few pounds. I think it's about 5 but as I'm still working on the 18 lb I gained from November thru December, I'm not hooting and hollering about it yet. Once I get down to "virgin" fat, you'll hear me shouting. I don't have the book..just the Prevention magazine with the outline of the diet. We will see.
