  • Hey Ladies,

Nothing much new here. Took the out to play in the slush, the temperatures today were awesome, makes you really feel like spring could possibly be near. Hurry up and melt you @)&%$% snow.

Tomorrow is heavy cleaning day...........ICK but if I don't do it nobody will.

Have a great weekend EVERYONE !!!

    Leenie
  • Did absolutely nothing yesterday except run to the can, lie on the bed reading and napping, cruising the net and playing Spider Solitaire. AND I DON'T feel guilty. I even skipped Bob's presentation last night!

All is well this morning and it's going to be a springy day so I'm up and at it. Church this a.m. and then we will shovel off the back deck because the woodstove comes tomorrow. Lucy and I are off to show handling this afternoon.

Western omelet, anyone? We got nice fresh eggs from the farm yesterday.

    Happy Sunday!
  • That omelette sounds divine Ruth, pass it over!

The party was very nice, everyone behaved themselves except for the slip on my grandma's part when explaining to my mom why she isn't getting a birthday present. I brought an end to that very quickly. My grandma has an acid tongue to her family yet to friends and strangers, she's as meek as a kitten. Go figure?!?! Party finished with M being thoroughly tuckered out so off we went home at around 8:30.

Today is all about the laundry--'nuff said!

    Have a restful day chickies!
  • well, ruth. after yesterday's quiet day, no wonder you're up so bright and early!!!! hope you're feeling better...

have the first of 3-4 loads of laundry in. have to face mom's weekly science fair projects in the refrigerator. i guess i should be grateful that she at least TRIED to eat something...

someone told me that trader joe's had peanut butter filled pretzels. they sounded really good, so i went over there yesterday. nope. not for me!!! 160 calories for 22 or so little pillows [looks like it's about 1/2 cup], 22 grams of carbs, and only 2 grams of protein! not a food source for me.. not even a snack.

but they did have these whole grain soy pretzels, about as long as a pretzel thin and about as wide as 4 of them. extremely crunchy, which is a good thing [can you tell i bought them???]

7 of them have 110 calories, 16 grams carbs, and 8 grams of protein. much better choice,. and i was full after 3 of them!!! oh and they are made with whole wheat flour and some oat bran.

isn't it sad when the high point of your day is a new pretzel????

planning on a quiet day: hiking with that dog, laundry, groceries, some internet research, dinner out with mom. knitting. anyone want to come along?

have a great day, ladies. and dottie.. so glad you're back.
  • Gee, Jiff, a new pretzel sounds pretty exciting to me. Not much happens in Delta, you know!
  • well, that pretzel sounds like a real thrill to me. I am not a pretzel person, but DH will love it- thanks, Jiff

for today, I have baked a bundt cake for dinner with the family tonight, and put in a pan of baked ziti for DH, who won't eat corned beef and cabbage. So, sort of an Italian/Irish dinner tonight!

Not much else, it's all about buying a new house. DH is being very difficult about this. The man can take the fun out of anything. It is not so much the money, but he just needs to PROCESS everything and get into Relationship Struggles over everthing! Anyone want a sensitive, emotional big talker? Rigid, unyielding, selfish. High maintence. Sort of cute, but sometimes not worth the upkeep. So, I am looking at some houses this afternoon, I don't even want him to come because he's going to complain all day. My joke with my sister is that I'll get the new house, and one day just tell him, "no honey, just take a left here, and pull into that 3rd driveway on the right. That's our new house, yes, the blue one. See, here's your bike in the garage. Here's your free weights, and your stairmaster, and here's your desk..." It would be easier just to do it myself and move us in!

I am still OP after 15 days, pork chops, sf cheese cake, burgers galore. I did the big bowl of salad thing, so I can just grab some quick. I don't see a big loss, but I'm going to keep trying.

Well, time to face up to the laundry- I'm putting it off, but I really must wear underwear to work tomorrow!

    be good, chickens
    dottie
  • dottie the old saying "just do it" comes to mind, tell him later........or as your sister said, give him directions later.
  • Jiff, I love TJ's pnut butter pretzles, i've been known to polish off a bag at one sitting.......yes Thats why I don't get them anymore, they are to good.

    TJ's is a cool store.

  • Good SUnday Afternoon to all!!! I have almost a weeks worht of posts to catch up on so I better get busy -

    GOOD NEWS!!!!!

I spent the week in Dallas and stayed completely OP!!!!! I had one beer at the cocktail party and it was a MIchelob Ultra with 3 carbs!!! I am way too proud of myself and can't wait to weigh in on Wednesday!!! I missed this week being out of town!!!

NOt much else here trying to get the house straightened up but it seems that 2 little munchkins follow we around and destroy my progress!!!!

The weather has sure been nice here this weekend 75 and sunny yesterday and about 70 with clouds today!!! Iwill take it!

    Have a great day!!
  • Congratulations, Sherrie. Wow! 3/4 carat is a good size rock.
Ruth, hope you're feeling better. You sure look great in that photo. Your hair sure has grown since I saw you in November. I could only see the top two pix tho. Not sure what the problem might be.
I've been on such a carb binge I just can't stand myself. Obviously I can't be trusted on WW anymore. Why is it some people can be satisfied with "just a taste" of something yummy and I have to eat the whole tub of chocolate frosting? Oops...I guess I let the cat out of the bag. Shame on me! I wont even mention the apple pie I baked for Peter (even though he prefers puddings of all kinds to pie). I just don't know what to do with myself. I can feel the pounds creeping rapidly back on. Wondering what the heck is wrong with me.
Dottie, good luck finding the dream house that both you and dh will love. It's just around the corner waiting to be found, y'know.
Scooby, congrats on staying OP while on vacation.
Peachy, sorry about your child having bronchitis. Sometimes I think it's easier to be sick myself than have to look after somebody else.
Well, that's it for me today. Have a nice Sunday evening, Chicks.
  • Hi all!

Just finished 3 days on my feet sore and hurting I had only a few injuries (torn rotator cuff and dislocated shoulder)and relatively nothing for accidnets few stubed toes and a few scrapes) with over 1100 kids and 3000 entries with all the parents and siblings. one lost 8 year old (did not leave the building when mom sent her out ahead of her by just one min) and one stolen cooler (taken from under my care by the owner when i was not looking and she did not tell me I almost had the security after her) a set of lost keys for the car (Sweat shirt was stolen but the keys turned up on the ground in the parking lot!)and a few minor things but all in all not much just a bunch of tension adn flaring tempers and well lots of screaming and a few state records broke for the kids 3 in total. a few kids qualified for nationals. What a great job and well the kids did their best and the folks that planned this did a great job. !!

as for me I am exhausted friday it was untill 10 pm form 3. saturday it was 7 am till 10 pm and today it was again 7 am till almost 8 pm. so a long weekend and not OP at all. i will rest and start fresh!!!

Sherry what a rock!!! you will need a crane to carry that hand around!!! I will help!! congrats!!

    Jiff the closer sounds better

    Ruth the picts looks greaat!!

And I am sorry who ever else i missed I am tired and headding to bed!!!
