Have you chicks not heard the expression "Wednesday is Hump Day"? Well, I guess I have opened a can of giggles. And I am happy that it made a lot of you think.
I went to TOPS last night and I lost 1.5 lbs. Only because I had a lg. poop. I will try to be better this week.
Well I am feeling a bit better with this cold, I am serving up good health pie ,side serving of deep dish all around spring is around the corner.
Must go as it is now 5:40am and time for work.
Love Tazcat.
Taz a loss for any reason is GREAT!!!
Today is my orientation day for a couple of new little ones coming to the daycare in September. I have mixed feelings as I am not sure we will be here then and have to break it to the parents today. STRESS!!!!! The good thing is I am leaving for my vacation tonight and I am sure I will be just a little devilish with the carbs!!
Be back later!
Tammy
Taz, that was an hilarious title yesterday. I think most of us know the expression although the first time I heard it, I thought I was being propositioned. Mind you, that was in the previous century. Congrats on the weightloss, no matter how it happened.
Tammy, good luck with the initiation for the kidlets. I can imagine how hard it will be to tell the parents that you may move out West for a year. When will you decide?
The wallpaper saga continues. I need Pooky here! I was "finished" yesterday afternoon and looked at a wall I had just scrubbed down. Lo and behold - BLISTERS! There is another layer of paper that was painted over and then wallpapered. Luckily it's just one wall - I hope. I am getting pretty discouraged over this project and my wrists are suffering from all the scraping so I may just take today off. I go for a perm this afternoon so this may be a me day.
It's getting bright so I'll do my doggie duties and put the coffee on. I'm almost afraid to look out the window in case it snowed.
Oh well, I start in the greenhouse tomorrow.
By the way, the RIO referred to in LindaBC's post is me. It's my nickname from another Board - Ruth In Ontario.
So much going on in yesterdays thread I can't remember it all!
Janice good luck with the doctor visit and glad you were able to spend time with your daughter and grandchildren. Do you plan to travel to England any time soon?
Taz........the big poop comment made me I think we all do the same thing.......go potty.......jump on the scale. Me, I strip to the buff and jump on, even take off the glasses.......might add a couple of ounces ya know. Of course, than I can't see the numbers.
Thanks Ruth, was wondering who RIO was.
Tammy where are you going on vacation, sorry if you told us before......I can't remember!!
Sherrie, I agree, I think a new doctor would be wise for you.
Dyan I found the web site for the chicken hats.........and peachie.......I KNOW YOUR ADDRESS!!!!!!!!! www.orientaltradingcompany.com
I'm doing as little as possible today....fighting a sping cold......my first illness since getting out of the hospital last year. My poor hubby keeps putting his hand on my forehead, think he's a little worried about me........but he would never admit it. Men
Morning all! Wow, what a great day we had yesterday, I laughed every time I read the daily. We are tho thilly!
Raining here today, kind of ruins the 78 degrees we were supposed to have. Oh, well, keeps me from wanting to run away from work. Couple of bills to pay today, that's my lunch break. Eating in the new car on the road. Indigestion, anyone?
Hope you all have a wonderful day. I am buckling down on myself, being the same 221 for over a month SUCKS! But, at least it wasn't a gain I can't afford that! Talk to you later.
Most schools are on a 2 hour delay in the area, we received a lot of freezing rain last night and it is still raining/freezing. Should be warming up soon. I nearly took a major tumble this morning on my way to my car. One of those slips where you throw your arms in the air and just manage to catch your balance before you hit the ground.
Taz ~ Like Ruth, I have heard of hump day, but when you turned it into an "action word" by adding the "ing" it took on a whole new meaning! You silly girl!
Ruth ~ I vote for taking the day off, you deserve it, and we do not want you to cause your wrists any undo pain.
Tammy ~ Try not to get too stressed out.
Debkay ~ Take care of yourself and let dh worry over you a bit.
Goodforme ~ Hi there gal careful eating in the new car.
Sigh, I am in the middle of March Break and of course all the programs offered are for big kids and not wee ones like M. Last week I hear that our drop in MAY be open today at the library--failing that we are just going to go to the video store. I know we both will be much happier when things get back to normal next week.
It's official, you're looking at the new Vice President of MFF. Of course our final move is to put it past the board and it shouldn't be a problem since we have basically ran the board anyway. My first order of business is to shore up confidence with the management team as I am trying to complete their performance evaluation letters. Next item is sitting down for a labour management meeting with the union and get negotiations for the next bargaining session underway. And oh yeah, did I mention I wasn't paid??? Sigh.....
Ruth, I am so sorry you are having such a problem with that room. Is there any way you can get some help in to fix up the walls? This can't be good for your wrists and you just had surgery! The good Lord knows that you have helped many people, I say ask the congregation at your church for some help, OK?
Deb, I searched that site for the chicken hats but I can't see them! What's the link? You never know, one may just very well show up on Peachie's doorstep!
Sherrie, I will gladly take your 78 degrees rain or shine just as long as you agree to take the 4 feet of snow on my lawn and 2 feet in my driveway!
Hey tammy, where are you going on vacation? Is this the girl's weekend?
Taz, isn't it funny that we all have these rituals? For me it is first thing in the morning, stark naked. After all, we don't want to accidentally have any pounds showing up!
Hopeyou all have a great day!
Oh Jenny and Leens you snuck in on me! You guys have a great day too!
Hey Pooky, I just typed in chicken hats and they came up, but here is the stock number IN-2612620 It isn't the same pic as Dyan posted, the little boy isn't wearing the hat.
GOOD MORNING TO THE COOP!!
I woke up today raring to go! It must be a fluke or something, I haven't got this much done before 8:45 a.m. since I was working--folded 3 loads of laundry (only have about 10 left to wash) ran the dishwasher--(getting ready to empty it) swept my carpet-and--this is the biggie--made beds--IMAGINE ME MAKING BEDS--that has NEVER been on my priority list--WHEW-I think I may need a nap BEFORE Tori gets home!!
I am having humping withdrawals--how long until next Wednesday?? Taz Good job--you showed a loss--I'm afraid to even get on the scales--so Kudos to you!!
TammyFancy ~~Girl--you have fun on your Vacation-- and eat some carbs for me!!!
To everyone in the Henhouse...except Sherrie Has anyone noticed, besides me, that Sherrie has not commented on the Chicken Hats-or actually on us chickies planning her wedding?? Maybe she wants us wearing Duck hats or Pig Tails???
Hey ahile I'm thinking about it--tell me who makes this low-carb bread someone was talking about--you can buy it at Wal*Mart??I haven't seen it yet!
Ruth I'm getting a perm today too. I can't wait, I've been fighting stratght hair for 6 weeks. (the last perm I got didn't take, but the gir kept saying "but WE didn't want it too curly" I wanted to tell her I didn't care what she wanted, it should be what I wanted. I'm giving her one more chance, then if I don't like it, I go back to square one on the hunt for a hairdresser game.
Not much happening here this morning. Mom came by my offices yesterday to send a fax, and suprise!!! it was lunchtime, so we went to lunch together. Anyone able to justify a meatball sandwich? Me either. Oh well, it cheered up my Mom.
Don't forget to take off you nail polish before you weigh in!!! Every little bit helps.
Barb I will send you all of my curls for free!!! I spend my $ straightening my hair.
The girls and I are leaving tonight for a cottage on the beach. It is still off season and we got a $350 a night cottage for $175 so we are off!
Mis you can come help here and burn off that energy! I will eat some carbs for you--probably enough for all the chickies!
Pooky that is a lot of work for a volunteer position but think of all your connections when you start your business. When do you plan to take your ECE? I still have all of my books and you are welcome to them all.
Ruth I would have taken out the walls by now! My Mom's house is like that. Hubby claims the wallpaper is now structural and has told her several times not to touch it! As to calgary we have to make up our minds by end of March. We want to go it is just working out if this is a good time to go. Hubby's mom is not well and the guilt card is coming into play. Time will tell!
Hi to everyone else and I hope everyone has a great day tommorow too!
Off to scrub the floor before newbies get here!
Morning all - someone please pass me a coffee. I need some get up and go.
Leen- I'm hungry too.
I overslept and didn't get breakfast, or to pack lunch. (DH gave me cash for lunch - what a sweetie) but I did get my gym clothes packed and in the car. I'm usually so organized, but this week I can't get my act together no matter how hard I try. Which would explain why I never got around to posting the web-site yesterday.
Mis - I noticed Sherrie isn't commenting on the Chicken-bridal party accessories - Maybe we aren't invited?
I want everyone in full chick regalia! I myself am going to wear tail feathers, and I know some chick who likes feather boas and can sing, too! You are all invited to come to SC for the chick meet (you have to check out the rooster, after all!) And, on all the tables, your very own chicken hats! I'm drawing the line at the menu, though, maybe beef instead?
You guys are so fun! And I really would love to meet each and every one, so come on down! Will keep you posted on the date, we're thinking autumn. Actually, I'm thinking NEXT autumn!
