Hi Chicks. Just checking in for a quick hello. We're having what I think will be our last nice day for a while so I want to get out and do some pruning in the garden and general clean-up. We've been having such lovely, mild weather that crocuses and snowdrops are now blooming merrily in my garden. Pansies and primroses have been blooming all winter.
I just have to brag about my #1 daughter. She's in her mid-30s and ever since she had her second child 15 years ago, she's had weight problems. Trouble was, she didn't think she did because she was always too slim. Anyhow, last year she joined TOPS and, although she hasn't been following a specific program, she's changed a lot of her "pig-out" behaviors. She would go to meetings and get weighed but she wouldn't let them tell her how much she lost or gained until last week. She has lost 30 lb in 10 months. I knew she was looking slimmer but she made little of it. I'm so proud of her. I always thought she was beautiful anyhow, fat or slim, but it's nice to see the smile of accomplishment and confidence now.
As for me, I'm still trying to learn the Xenical diet plan. I'm so used to counting either WW points or Atkins carb grams that it's hard to switch back to the ancient calorie counting. I will do a weigh-in tomorrow. So far, I haven't had a problem with diarreah, because I've cut right back on fats (darn. I LOVE fats). If this works, though, I will stick with it. This poundage has to come off.
