Default Sunday Jan. 26th The Daily Cackle

Good Morning Sleepyheads!

Yup, this weekend at work is going really fast thanks to the computer use. I can keep myself together for 12 hours and basically enjoy myself! Of course, the few duties I do have are taken care of first, and then it's time to play!

Ruth, grab a snow shovel hon (or call the snow plow) we're buried in it--a darn good foot and a half and it's still coming down. (and we aren't talking about rain!) Right now the plow man is going around the plant trying to dig us out.

Miree is all back to her usual rambunctious self, ready to play and have fun. Of course, Daddy and I told her no playing outside today, just so we could make sure that bug is all gone. Tomorrow, they have plans to go tobogganing, Miree's favourite thing to do with her Daddy.

As for the rest of the ill-timed events of the last 3 days, we're dealing with it as it comes since that's all we can do, right? And yeah, I wanted to go back to bed after all that and hide for about a year but then who was going to feed the dog and Miree?

Dottie, we don't have Macy's here, I guess the closest would be The Bay? Anyways, reminds me of the time I bought dh some underwear and every pair in the pack had improper stitching and ripped apart the first time he put them on! Went to take them back, and well, you know many stores have a no return policy on underthings. Had to go through the manager to get it resolved, but we were allowed to exchange.

taz, hope you had fun on your birthday!

Robin, just Arizona? I was thinking Mexico, lying on a beach, with an umbrella overhead, soothing blue water, soft tropical breezes and sexy cabana boy named Nico! Oh yeah, and don't forget the margaritas!

Thanks Mis, I'm gonna have to give that recipe a try! And just like the Mastercard commercials: Dinner alone with dh: priceless!

Rachel, sounds like your babysitter/housekeeper either has a new job waiting in the wings or wants to find a new job, or she is so overconfident in her belief that you won't let her go she will be shocked when it happens. Good luck finding someone new!

OMG Dyan! (((((Dyan)))) I hope your grandpa and aunt do much better than they are right now. My thoughts are with your family...

Kel!

OUCH! Linda! Just rest those limbs for a while. And put on a heating pad, it will feel better.

Sue, that description just sent chills down my spine. What a horrible disease! And yeah, bills are like weeds, you pull one out and 3 more come!

Have a great day everyone!

Default Good Morning!

DH still in the sack!

But it's nice to be up alone for a while. I've been up since before 5 and I'll crash tonight, but who cares? Did the Leslie Sansone tape yesterday and today, and am ready to make some eggs. Then a grocery list and quick shop, but nothing else planned for the day. Had fun with DN(8) yesterday. She is trying to get me to learn to use the Nintendo controls. She is learning patience; I am a slow learner!

I'm doing OK with eating, except for the garlic bread last night. It was great though. Tonight is salmon, broccoli, baked sweet potato (1 & 1/2 for him, 1/2 for me), salad for both of us.

Thanks for the reminder about the ricotta farina, Sue, I haven't had that in awhile. If you're not in Induction, I make a rice pudding thing for b'fast with 1/4c. brown rice, 2 eggs, 1/4 c. milk or diluted cream, and cinnamon, vanilla and splenda. Cook on top of the stove or stirred often in the microwave, it gives you that custardy taste without sugar or many carbs. Fine for Protein Power or Schwartzbein.

have a great one- I think I'll go paint my toenails! Do something nice for yourself today- anyone doing Flylady Pampering Missions?

Morning Pooky! Morning Dottie! Glad that Miree is feeling better, Pooky! Yuck on the snow though!

Dottie? Can I just sign up for the pampering duty and skip the rest of the junk? You would have a FINE time with Jiff...I just gave her one of the boy's game boys and she is greatly amused...I think for her 5oth I'll buy her a game boy advanced....yes, we are easily amused....but happy!

More wrestling today and while the kid is away I will be working on his book project. They read "cricket in times square" a nice book but we have a parent/kid project that requires us to make a chinese looking cricket cage

oh boy.

hope to have a sane eating day...yesterday was a bit overboard!

Waving as I pass through ~~~~~~~~~~~
Another huge dump of snow last night. Our minister is off to emergency this morning with vertigo (?) so we parishioners get to take the service? Oy! Maybe Hershey will help. Are there many references to dogs in the Bible? Aside from the ones who ate Jezebel!
Just realized I didn't post yesterday - or did I? Life is a bit busy lately - good busy.
Will try to check in later.

WAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!

That says it all. I caught a damn cold, I feel like crap, I can't get comfortable, and most of all: I CAN'T HAVE MY SURGERY TUESDAY! I've put in for my leave already, so won't everyone be surprised when I show up for work? The doc assured me he could get me in a week later, but will I be well by then? I hate this!!!

Going to get some groceries today, then maybe a little cooking. I am refusing to leave the house after 10 a.m. I plan on resting and moaning as much as I can get by with! Hope you all have a more productive day. Talk to you later!

Good morning Chicks, Today I am feeling full of cake and happy. I had a wonderful birthday with all the trimmings annnnd, I found Pork Puffs, Zellers had 19 bags of them, they were selling out as old stock for .50 a bag. I bought them all. DH said "they taste just like his mother made them?"?? I never ate them as a kid. They said they would not be getting anymore in????

Sue- you caught this cold for a reason, now you must look for the good in it.

Mis I do love that worm.

Pooky- the only way my birthday could have been better, is if you all were here to have a piece of cake with us and it all was no cal, and no carb!

Well I am going to a baby shower today [[[more bad food!]]]

Well all for now,
TAzcat

Unhappy pizza

It never ceases to amaze me how a piece of pizza and an Atkins chocolate crunch bar can set me off!!

Pizza Hut's new golden crust pizza is really good incase anyone was wondering! Only one piece, I was full after that. Which is good, Im usually a 4 or 5 piece person. Then the next day (yesterday) I had an Atkins bar. Well by 4 o'clock, I was miserable, and craving sugar so bad. Hubby was wondering what was wrong with me. "Lesson learned"!!!

To try to fix all this, I loaded up with protein, ended up eating 2 servings of taco salad last night while watching "Signs". Im feeling soooooooooo much better this morning. Hubby and I are off for lunch with some old friends of his (more pressure) Very nice people, but I get nervous. Im going to try to stay OP and if not, Ive got heaps of chicken for supper to fix what I may do at lunch

Does anyone have any tricks or suggestions to help get over a bump like that. The demons come out in full force when I mess up. I did find the protein fill up worked. But something less filling and less caloric would be nice too.

All you ladies have a great Sunday!!!

Robin

Stress is great for housework. I was up til 4am cleaning and then starting my veggie/flower garden indoors. 4 weeks until time to plant here. I'm so over this winter thing. The zucchini, squash, and tomatos I started Monday are already 3 inches tall. Hopefully I'll get enough to can/freeze, this WOE is certainly not cheap.

Going for my walk now, I'm inspired as I lost all the weight I gained on my binge last weekend plus another pound.

Ruth - I saw a bumper sticker for you - "My dogs are smarter than your honor student."

Robin, you snuck in on me. Pizza is my downfall too. The bars don't send me over the edge, I think they might be what cause me to stall though.

there are several thing s i can recall that helps get over the carb cravings one if chromium. and the other is l-caratine I have used the chromium and it does help but the l-caritine i have not used but others swer by. i just drink and keep busy and say one more hour then i tell my self one more hour till it is all gone. many also feel that if you eat fat that will help with the cravings so for the cravings feed the hunger with fat that sure sounds funny!!!

as for me it was bacon and eggs this mornign i think i over did it on the fat though!!! oh well i do this only once in a while so i will just have to suffer the consequences of the fat and the salt!! UGH!!

fly lady today for this is my 15 min on the puter!! i am now back into selling avon! i have a instant following which is good but one more thing to keep me busy but a good reason to need puter time (to get my orders in and if i wander to this site wel it is theraputic!!

the cold weather is still here, and kids are better but DH is really sick. the swim meet was much fun and the kids did great. well my timer is going off must do a few more stops before i listen to it!!

Morning Ladies--Well Afternoon I guess??!!

Got up this morning to about 2-3 inches of snow--DH wanted to go out for breakfast so we all piled into the 4-wheel drive and headed for the Golden Corral--boy if we didn't look like a bunch of hicks!! Anyway--I did not do to awful bad--ate mostly scrambled eggs and bacon--I did have one bite of breakfast pizza and one bite of bananna pudding--that was too sweet-I guess I haven not had sugar for so long that now it is like--BLEH

Come to think about it Robin I had Those sugar cravings when I ate that dessert at my freinds--I wanted something all day--I had like 2 tabelspoons of Peanut butter and I could not stop the cravings all day!! I had a tablespoon of cool whip...I'm telling you it just got worse all day!!
Nasus--I will have to try chromium and l-caritin

well girls--I'm gabbing on the phone so I'll talk to you later!!

I'm currently making a roast...mmmm

I also just had a carbolite crispy caramel bar. Very good stuff 0 carbs. It was actually a little too sweet.
