Hi Everyone:

You'll never beleive it. I posted last night and my post is
completely gone!!!!

We are still suffering through the deep freeze here in Toronto
and I for one am sick of it!

Nikkic, you new kitty sound sweet. Cocoa is an adorable name.
Your cats sound like my kids everytime I had a new one
the others were not too impressed at first!

Aleka, how are you coping with the cold? All I have to say
is this really sucks!

Anne.

Morning everyone,
I seem to be in a hurry today. DD 25th BD is Mon. and I have a lot to do. She wants a special cake that I make. It isn't hard, just time consuming. It's devils food, 3 layers with a whipped cream filling and homemade chocolate frosting that is like fudge. I top it with shaved chocolate. It is so good (and bad )

Aleka, you have the Body Flex by Greer C. don't you? I've been thinking about getting something like this, or that ball force from HSN. I want something that is portable for when I'm in the livingroom and DH is asleep or when we go camping. I can't move the big stuff out of the exercise room without waking him up
and I can't use it either, cause that wakes him. I have to work around his sleeping and he sleeps ALOT. Even though, he says he doesn't. Anyway, what do you think of this? I've read mixed reviews. I like the deep breathing part. I need to do that more. The ball force also looks interesting, or at least the guy that does it looks good. I find Greers voice grates on my nerves. It reminds me of my Aunt that I have always disliked. Does she talk as loud on the video as she does on TV? Do you think it is effective? I've also considered getting a stepping machine from QVC that is small and has some rubber band hand pulley things attached to it. They have one one HSN but it's more expensive and the rubber band things are extra.

Well, got to get going. Have a good weekend, Nikki

Angry Hi there,

nikki, I have the Body Flex tapes, but haven't done them yet..I don't know what I'm waiting for. I'm really not that keen on her tapes, she makes this weird noise while breathing that to me is a little embarassing to say the least, especially if there is somebody else in the house while you're doing it. There is another tape called Oxysize which is the same thing as Body Flex without all weird sounds. There is an Oxysize thread on the Exercise board of 3fc. Maybe you could pop in there to see what it's all about. I do have the Oxysize tapes...unopened. The one thing I did buy of Greer Childress was her toning bar. I really like that, as you can use it sitting in your chair. A lot of people swear by Oxysize. Let me know which one you're going to do.

ANNE, it has warmed up today, it's in the double digits ABOVE zero. Hope it's warmed up for you too.

Enjoy the weekend.

Aleka

Aleka, thanks. I've heard that Greers system was kinda different and I don't mind that, but I can't do weird noises. I tried that with the last yoga tapes (it was just that kind of yoga, I've done yoga before that wasn't like that) and it was just too much. I felt just stupid doing it, and I was all alone.
Where do I buy the Oxycise at? There was a thread about this, but no one has answered. I looked it up on the web and there were a few places, but I don't know any of them.
I was thinking about getting the Oxycise and the Ball force. It would be the same as the stepping machine in price and that way, I'd have more variety too.
Thanks, Nikki
