Default Anyone here doing Weight Watchers with LOW CARB??

I am going to try to fit lower carbing into WW. I can never stay on just low carb, so I am hoping this combo will work.

Susan, that is what I have been doing but...I am finding that many of the lo carb foods are high in points, it is hard to find a happy medium. I have lost some weight but.....I also need something that my whole family can participate in so I am thinking of doing sugar busters.

Hope you don't mind me popping in on your thread...

There's a few gals on the SUGAR BUSTERS BOARDS that have combined SB with WW. SB isn't low carb though, but low glycemic and definitely not as restricting as low carb.

SCOOBY, saw you posted our BIO on our BIO BOARD Can't wait for you to join us on our weekly board. BOB just LOVES those TN VOLS! She'll be happy to see you joining us

Hi Susan!

I'm on a bit of a holiday right now, but I do WW and low carb, and it works well for me. One thing I realized from a former low-carb attempt is that I tend to 'fool' myself about the amount of legal treats I was eating. A pound of sour cream really doesn't help weight loss. So, counting points as well as carbs helps keep me honest.

The other thing I do is concentrate on low-starch or low glycemic index carbs, and not try to have many of the other at all. This lets me eat at least a cup of low carb veges at every meal and this keeps me full and happy.

I hope it works for you!

Angry Hi,

I am also going to WW and trying to eat low carb by incorporating SB WOE. What I do most days is have my carb meal in the morning, oatmeal, or cereal with skim milk. I make a 0 point soup with lots of low carb veggies that I usually have for lunch with 1 oz. of low-fat cheese. For dinner it's either meat or chicken with lots of low-carb veggies and sometimes I put 1 T of regular or lite salad dressing on the veggies, and for dessert it's s/f jello with 2 T of real whipped cream on top. I try to stay away from processed foods and eat real food. I also stay away from anything with added sugar in it.
