Well, I am back on my second cup of coffee, and second load of laundry - I forgot how much I disliked laundry - my babysitter usually does it - I am spoiled

Not too much happening today - I am off but DH is working - babysitter is still coming and I am going to visit the dentist (sounds nicer when you say visit...) then get some last minute groceries....not much on the agenda...

Hope everyone has a fabulous day before the day before Christmas!!!!

I think our bosses will have to answer for this when they get to heaven. Who has to work the week of Christmas? ME! The only day off I get is Christmas itself, and if they could figure a legal way to make me work that day, they would. Oh, but I am thankful I do have a job this season. (Note to self: stop whining!)

Hope you all have a wonderful day, stay away from the stores, it's gonna be a zoo. Talk to you all this afternoon!!

Well, I am going to go take a bath to start the week! DH is up and in a good space so I will sip coffee in the tub and contemplate my day while he does doggie duty.

WARNING! Never ever make that cranberry crunch recipe I wormed out of LindaBC. It is sooo easy and sooo yummy. I showed remarkable self control and had a tiny piece of each but that stuff has to get out of my house soon!

My Christmas mailing got to DD/MEW's place! Now all gifts are where they belong, not lost in the Canada Post labyrinth.

Cooking a bit more today, a bit more decorating and a simple dinner of leftover rib roast and salad. That's the plan anyhow but anything could happen.

Happy Monday.

Good Monday Chicks,
Quick drop in as I am on my way to town. Last min groceries, And I love the bustle of the shoppers as they leave the stores with there packages, I will get some exercise in as I fight for the last of anything. That is just the way I am, (not) I am the person that stops people to tell them where they can get something cheeper in their cart, haha.
I talked a lady into getting a different kind of cheese as she could get twice as much for her money, [I hope she liked it].
Well next time I type it will be on the exercise thread. Yes it will!
Have a great day, love tazcat.
Sherrie, I usually have to work every day before Christmas, and a lot of Christmas days, but this year I lucked in, Hope you make the best of it.
L-, happy anniversary.

Merry Christmas Everyone

This is my last day here at work until the 6th. I am sooooo looking forward to this. Friday I was ready to crack with all the stress, but today knowing I'll be off is such a God send.

Remember, Jesus is the Reason so keep Christ in your Christmas !!!

See you 15 lbs heavier

Love, huggs and kisses, Leenie

HA, so I can now blame Leenie for the extra pounds. She put the curse on us.
Ruth, I ate most of the Cranberry Crunch all by myself. WAAAAH!
The good news is that so far today I have been totally Induction. If I can just get through today and most of tomorrow without snacking on goodies (baddies) I will feel I've accomplished something.
I thought I was ready for Christmas but it's a sunny day and I can see streaks on windows and dust on furniture that shouldn't be there. Also need to clean bathrooms. I'd rather do a 100 loads of laundry than clean bathrooms. Why do you guys hate laundry so much? Unless you're kneeling by a stream and scrubbing it with your hands, how hard can it be? I can remember helping my grandmother wring out sheets by hand when the wringer on her old washer kicked the bucket. Now THAT was work! Then they were all hung out on a line to dry. They smelled wonderful but what a job, especially on a cold day. They all got IRONED too...can you imagine that? She would fold them and iron other things on top and gradually move the sheet around as she did her other ironing, the sheets would get ironed at the same time. When my kids were small and constantly grubby, I once had to go six months without a washing machine and no laundromats nearby. I found an old fashioned scrubbing board and did my laundry in the bathtub. I'll never forget how I ached. In fact, come to think of it, that's when my bursitis first started. Still think you've got it tough with your permanent press fabrics and your automatic washers and dryers?

Sherrie - I'll be here to keep you company, I have to work this week too! Most of the "bosses" are out though, so my workload will be light. I'm planning to work on my family trees, surf the net and generally goof off. Oh, and since I've given myself off the WOE until Dec 26th, I'll be 5lbs heavier.

Pooky - My husband called from Wal-Mart asking what LC bars I wanted in my stocking. LOL Got him trained! He asked if there was anything else I wanted in my stocking and I said "DIAMONDS". He had the nerve to laugh at me.

Linda - When I was 3, I got my arm caught in a wringer washer "helping" my Mom do laundry. I don't mind washing and drying, it's the folding I never seem to get around to. I'm more the "pile it on the bed and dig" type.

Hey, everyone! Just had to share this with you. (Pardon my gloat!) I pulled my 20W's off today without unbuttoning or unzipping. Amazing, huh? Well, I put on the 18W's and they were uncomfortably loose. So, I am now officially in plain old 18's, not wides anymore. Whooooooo-hoooooo!!

Anyone else want to share? Please don't throw things, kay?

My closet goes down to 14, that was my size in high school. Unfortunately, they are all hopelessly out of style, or maybe by the time I get that little, they'll be back in style again!! Pretty funny, yet somehow sad at the same time. Closets packed full of the past, kind of sneering at me. Anyway, I'll see them again soon!!
