Hi Everyone,
I thought I would introduce myself. My name is Amanda, I live in Fresno California, and am 22 years old. I am going to school to become a Registered Nurse, and am starting to do Atkins. I have been overweight my whole life. A few years ago I lost 100lbs by working my butt off exercising 2 hours a day and cutting my calories to about 1000 or less a day. I gained it back within a few months. I have recently been reading quite a bit on the Atkins diet, and am giving it a try. I had a friend who was on it, swore by it and lost 150lbs. Right now my goal is to lose 80. Once I lose 80, I will see how I feel and then see if I chose to loose another 80. Once I lose about 40 I will start working out so its not so hard on me..I love to be active, but its hard when your 330lbs! I look foward to getting to know you all, and having fun and great success!!
Hi there, Amanda! Glad to have you here. Please jump in anytime you can, it really does help keep us in control when we stay active. Good luck with your weight loss!
Hey Amanda,
Welcome, and take heart - we are a great bunch here and posting a lot really helps to keep on track. Atkins will probably work very well for you. You don't have to starve yourself, which makes it easier to put the weight back on. Look at the food logs and ask as many questions as you need. We are all here for you!!
Welcome Amanda!! I am sure you'll love it here. I think you are so smart to take the weight thing in stages! I think you'll find low carb to be so much easier on you and easier to adapt as you lose. Su
