Morning Good fro me,
I have been awake since 4. Little man fell out of bed. So it is wed! I hope better than monday. I did leave him in bed with DH so lets see how grupy he is! By the way, he did get up and take care of the kids yesterday morning.

Who is out e-bay person? Well I bought my first item on e bay last night. Kinda fun!

Play date for little man and a friend. I am taking them to lunch and then to Bonkers. An indoor play place. We are expecting really bad weather today here in new England. Our first noreaster. First carpool, then the gym, coffee with the girls and then the play date. I have a new book so I should be fine.

have a goodone every one,
-L

Good morning from the snow belt! We got more of the white stuff overnight but the temp is just at freezing so it may disappear and turn into another Muddy Paw Day! L144S, I hope it doesn't make it across the border.

Goodforme, are you still having sleep problems? Getting asleep is not a problem here - it's the 1 to 2 a.m waking up that sucks. Happened last night again and finally drifted back to be awakened by the dogs at 4. Hershey needed a pee break and you can hardly turn down a preggy dog. They played in the snow, had a small snack and then we all went back to sleep until 6:30! Luxury!

It was so wonderful to have nothing planned yesterday. I puttered around and even got my dozen linen dinner napkins ironed. I iron them damp and had them stored in the freezer in plastic. I finally got sick of Harry saying "Is this bread dough?"
I also firmed up my hotel and plane reservations for my trip out West.

I'm off to soak in bubbles and shave the pits - like the technician will care as she squishes me into a pizza!

Have a wonderful Wednesday.

Default Good Morning L and Sherrie, and of course all to come!!

L glad to hear the hubby helped out yesterday, lets hope it's a trend getting started.

Hey Sherrie, how is little Tommie doing? Has she started her Christmas list?

Jennifer I have white kitchen cabinets, I really like them. They do need a good cleaning every now and then, I just use Clorox cleanup, works great. I think the white really brightens up the kitchen.

Well, I did manage to get out and vote yesterday. My daughter went with me and watched, she will be eligable to vote in the next presidential election. We both proudly wore our "I voted" stickers shopping.

Anyone have a swiss steak recipe they would be willing to share. I love swiss steak!!!

Kohls (anyone have a Kohls near them) is having a 50% off sale today, can you guess where I will be! I need to get the hiney moving on my Christmas shopping, I'm usually done or close to done by this time of the year. I have more energy this year, but have done less, go figure.

Off to Kohls and Super Wal-Mart. Hope I find some really good deals.

Have a great day everyone
Debbie

Angry Morning all

Well, its wednesday.....that means its marketing day. Im starting to dred these days. Its cold and windy and very dreary here. Do I sound thrilled?

Ive been staying op pretty good and getting my walk in everyday. After reading some of the other posts, it seems Im not drinking enough water. I average 80oz a day.....some of you are at 100oz. There have been days when Im lucky if I drank 16 oz and have noticed a huge difference the next day. (itchier skin)

Have a good one

Good Wednesday Morning!

Having a sassy day despite my DH's mood. He is still mooping around. He has been sick with sniffles/sore throat for 3-4 weeks and refuses to see a doc. He is also worried about our jobs, we both work for a major pharmaceutical company that was recently purchased by the #1 pharmaceutical company. I think he is just a drama king and is not happy unless he has something to worry about.

Whew, thanks for letting me unload.

My two boys did great for conferences last night. Don just started getting letter grades, he had mostly Bs and a C+, which is much better than expected. He is a great kid and I bet he works harder for his C that most have to work for an A, he just has a real problem with recall. We learned all of our multiplication facts in 3rd grade, but for him it is a nightly review, or else it will be lost. He teacher (the sweetie) explained that we must celebrate Don's C's because for him that reflects a lot of work. Darren received all P's for proficient. I guess we will be heading to Chuck E Cheese's for a celebration.

Goodforme Wishing you a great day!

L ~ Sorry about the little guy's fall. Lucky you your dh helped out!

Ruth ~ We had a snow rain mix last night, Darren and his friends had to go out and play soccer in that mess. He was in shorts and played for and hour and a half, I finally had to call him in for dinner, he was soaked! Crazy kid!

Debkay ~ Yes I love Kohls, I think I will be spending my lunch there, thanks for reminding me!

Robin ~ Good for you walking every day and 80 oz of water is good.

MamaJ ~ hope all is well with you, please stop in and say hi!

Guess what! I have a big basket full of Halloween candy and I have not touched a morsel! Can you see me patting myself on the back? YaHOOOO!

Luv, Hugs, and OP Wishes for all!

Angry Trying to Stay awake today

It's amazing, yesterday was so busy I didn't have time to go to the bathroom and today it is so slow that I am about ready to fall asleep. It doesn't help that its nice and cool and rainy here today either.

Well, I can honestly say that I have REALLY SUCKED lately with my eating plan and drinking my water. I even freaked out for breakfast this morning and had WAY too many carbs. I keep trying having one good meal a day so hopefully I will have two OP meals tomorrow, etc. So at least I keep trying

Sending everyone warm hugs and a good healthy day.

A quick hi to everyone. Just to let you know that I am alive. Alot of complications with this breast reduction surgery. Had a bit of emergency surgery yesterday! I'll feel you in on the details as soon as I'm up to it.

Hugs and love to all!

Hello everyone! I have had so much to do today and did'nt do it all!

I have horrible allergies due to our dog. He's a Bichone and was not supose to bother my allergies. Before we got him I went and visited several times to the breeders home and everything was fine. I let him lick me, snuzzle me etc...not a sneeze. Now I can hardly stand to be in the same house with him. I had been using OTC meds , benadryl and shortly after taking it I would fall asleep. So benadryl is out of the question. I went to the Dr's and she gave me a script for Flonase and Allegra. Well, I gave them a try and I'm still horrible. If DS#2 was not so attached to this dog I would find him a good home but I know that it would break my sons heart. Also, we are having a problem with him not telling us that he needs to go outside. He just goes into another room of the house and "does his thing We crate him afterwards but it seems that lately he's been in that crate more then anything else.

Went voting yesterday. Picture this, it was myself and 5 little boys under a curtain. I pressed all of my choices and then I let them, on the count of three, press the vote button. They loved that!!!

I did'nt get to go to the park yesterday and collect some of the things that we needed for our art project. We got rained out. It's yucky today and I feel yucky. I bet alot of it is the carb withdrawl. Tomorrow I hope to feel better and off to the park we will go. They can always do an art project with me over the weekend. They love playing with the rubber cement anyway. I can remember doing the same thing when I was little and then telling my little brother that it was boogers! Yea, gross I know but what are big sisters for!?!?!?

Love to all. ChrissyB

It's good to be back here with you guys again. I did miss this!

Happy Wednesday!

MamaJ, I hope all is ok! Please keep us updated on how it is going. I'm sorry this hasn't gone smoothly for you.

Chrissy, maybe an allergist or a holistic doctor can help you. A girl I work with is allergic to latex gloves and she asked to bring a couple to her mom, so she could make her some drops to go under her tongue. She swears by it, said she has gotten over allergies to other things by it. She uses the drops for a couple of weeks and builds up her immunity, and then no more allergies. Maybe you could find somebody to try it with the dog's hair, or dander? Ok, sounds gross, but I know it kills you to break it to your son!

June, I am sorry you aren't staying on track like you want. You have a good idea though with one meal a day until you work up. If I hadn't gotten sick from sugar on Saturday, I may have not gotten back on track Sunday. I did get a fresh reminder though. THE FIRST DAY IS THE HARDEST! I had forgotten! If you can just tell youself ONE DAY then after that you will feel so much better inside, physically and mentally, that you will be able to make it another, and another. Before you know it, it will be your planned cheat days that are far and few between, instead of the other way around. Want a water challenge? 80 ounces?

Debkay, I think I have some swiss steak recipes, I will look and if I do I will send them to the recipe folder.

Robin, I am sure you are still getting enough water. I think the 'general guideline' is .5 ounces for every pound you weigh, so a 200 pound woman would have 100 ounces of water. I think the main purpose of that is for maximum limits, not minimum...but I could be wrong. You are also getting in water with some veggies, and possibly with other liquids you drink, so if you are happy with 80 ounces, I'd stick with it!

Ruth, here's wishing you a full night's sleep!

Off to check my recipe book. See you tomorrow!

There is no way on God's green Earth that I could EVER drink 100 oz of water a day, and I weigh a bunch more than 200 lb. I feel lucky when I manage to get down my entire Brita filter container in a day. The old bladder just can't handle more than that and I'm not even going to try.
Well, today was a rather frantic, hectic day for me. I usually live such a quiet, peaceful existence but I had let my chores pile up and I had said "yes" to too many people and as a result, I was running around like the proverbial headless chicken....CHICK??
I lost my pay cheque and while searching through the piles of garbage on my desk, I managed to knock over a full glass of water and doused everything including myself and the floor. I never did find the cheque so had to write a new one and now I will have to put a stop payment on the old one because I may have thrown it out in the trash and I had signed it and you never know what with the people who go through trash bags. Then I had to make runs to two different banks and a stop at Staples to get the club newsletter copied AND the flyers advertising our craft sale, both of which I can pick up tomorrow on my way to my club meeting. Then I had to go to pick up my friend who recently had her second knee replacement done to take her to her first physio session. That meant dropping her off at the front door of the hospital, running in to get her a wheelchair, going back to the car and driving around looking for a parking space, running through the rain to get back to the hospital, pushing her through miles of corridors to find the right room...sheeesh....we were both poopled by the end of that session.
Then I get home to find a message from my doctor's office and I have to go in and see him on Friday to discuss the result of my blood tests. Now, don't forget, I had blood tests done a day apart, one for my doctor and one for this diet drug study I may be participating in. So, now I'm nervous wondering what the heck the blood tests have shown. Either high cholesterol or blood glucose. I don't think he tested for anything else but who knows?
Tomorrow is my club meeting and I had hoped to have the tole painted step stool ready to show the group. It's one of our raffle prizes for our craft fair next week. But, what with all the other things going on around here, there was no way I could have it finished for tomorrow. Luckily I still have a week to finish it. It is coming along fairly well but still needs a lot of detail work done.

Then, I have to get ready for a visit from our Ruth. Very exciting for me. I hope she doesn't mind sleeping among the bits and pieces of my sewing/craft/guest room. I hope she doesn't mind the very loud trains that go tooting by in the night. Better bring some ear plugs, Ruth.

More good news is that I am still in ketosis. Yuppers. The cravings have gone away at last and I'm quite happy with mere nibbles of food from time to time. Yippeee! Here's how my food day has gone so far (keep in mind I am out of fresh veggies so I haven't done too well in that regard today).
Before swimming:
1 piece of cold leftover spare rib
After swimming
4 slices crisp bacon
2 eggs in an omelet with diced peppers, onions and mushrooms

Lunch
1 inch chunk of Polish garlic sausage sliced and fried. Patted with paper towels.
1/2 oz of cheddar cheese melted over sliced tomato.
1/2 cup of diet Jello with whipped cream

Dinner
4 warmed up spare ribs
1/2 cup diet Jello with whipped cream.
(normally I'd have several veggies but I really need to go shopping)

Very little hunger. Lots of energy. Good mood. I love ketosis.
