Morning all you gorgeous chickies! I've sure missed you guys! Things here have been "interesting" (anyone know the Irish curse about living in interesting times?????) -- I started the new job and it's GREAT! Interesting work (translate: EASY), the pay is good and I am picking it up quickly (it's a whole new field of ultrasound - musculo-skeletal scanning on spinal injury patients) and am enjoying it. My "old" boss has been
begging me to stay (someone else also quit!!! but she left with NO notice) - no way... but I checked w/my new boss, and since I'm only working 2-3 days per week with him until December, I can work 2 days per week for her until Dec 1. Soooooo - that's the good part. The rest has been that I got some kind of a bug 2 weeks ago that I thought was gone.... boy was I WRONG! Last Thursday I took DH to the airport for his flight to Toronto and then went straight to the doctor. I asked him if he would give me a flu shot while I was there -- he said "No -- you've GOT the flu"!!! I laid on the couch for the entire 4 days that DH was gone until it was time to go to the airport to pick him up!!!!! I must have been really sick, 'cause I couldn't even EAT (and
nothing makes me not eat!!!
)
So...... I was occasionally able to get here to check up and see what was happening with you lovelies, but could never stay long enough to post........
Ruth..... how many times do we have to tell you NOT to overdo??? Are you going to force us to come up there and tie you down to a chair?????
Jif..... I sure hope that something comes thru soon. If your boss is gonna be such a wienie, why on earth did she pursue you so hard a couple of months ago to get you to work for her in the first place?????
Peachie..... as I was vegetating on the couch and watching Craft Day on HSN you were ALWAYS on my mind!! in fact, I don't usually watch it, but I dedicated it to you!!
Sue... glad your virus is gone, I was wondering how things were going with the student there -- how is the job going? still loving it, I hope

I'm Alive!
I have been listening to the Smart Technique tapes every night. I haven't been able to tell if they are helping me with the food choices, but I can say they totally relax me for sleeping. Last night I woke up at about 2:00 in the morning and still had the headphones on and didn't realize it 
I went right back to sleep! That is SOOOOO not like me. Hope that it is as successful in the hypnosis for eating part! DS is gearing up for an important game tomorrow night for varsity. One more win and they get into the playoffs--I of course have mixed feelings about this--it means extra football games! It WOULD be neat to have him be on the first team to ever make it to the playoffs from their school. Wish us luck. Here at school I am trying to help a little boy in my class get through some tough days--his grandpa passed away last Friday and the funeral was yesterday. In the meantime his other grandpa goes into the hospital and is diagnosed with leukemia--the little boy is just beside himself. Definitely not easy.
