Jiff I hope that work things clear up. With such a little tummy you NEED to keep the food down.
I am waiting for the dogs to come in so I can go hit the home gym. I have 25 for the pot luck tonight and we survived the fair with my father and his lovely bride. They leave sometime this am. The coffee is on so help your selves. Starbucks Sumatra.
Lots of errand this morning including Costco for flowers. They always make the house smell good and I need all the help I can get with the kitty and the kidnef failure going on. Ok dogs are at the door. Time to run...literally.

We are freezing to death this morning so I'm on coffee #2. I guess the time has come to stop turning OFF the heat at night and just set it lower. It was 11F outside at 6 a.m. so anything left in the garden is toast! DH is even starting up the woodstove in the back room - he usually stalls on that until his fingers are too cold to use the remote!
I am having serious doubts about getting my left wrist done next week. The right one is still pretty painful and has not healed up yet. Being Type II diabetic slows healing but methinks I just used it too much. Maybe the stitches should have stayed in longer. Anyhow, if the left one has the same problem, I will not be in any shape to schlep suitcases and Christmas gifts out to Vancouver mid-November. I see my family doc on Thursday for bloodwork results and will ask his opinion but I think January might be a better time. Or maybe just before Christmas so everyone will wait on me?
Jiff, your work situation sounds awful! No wonder you can't eat! Something has to give soon and I hope it isn't you. It's hard to lower your standards but sometimes .....
Liz (Elizabeth), I hope the Anniversary celebration went well and you enjoyed the movie. It's on my list of films to see. Now I just need to find a cinema - there is one in Brockville and one in Smiths Falls.
Annie, it's always nice to see you posting. I can imagine how busy your life is! I used to teach school and was also a single parent so know a bit about your busy life.

Ruthie, don't feel bad, yesterday morning we had SNOW!!! I mean it was gone in a flash but it was the first official snow fall of the season. We've had the woodstove going for a couple of weeks now (on and off as needed) and pretty much we are lighting it every night since it's freezing here.

As for me, off to the drop in and coffee chit chat. Freezing cold here this morning too and there I am with my wee pup in y nghtgown hoping she does a peepee so I can go back in. Frankly, getting tired of cleaning up doggie mines in the morning. This week's investment: baby gate for the kitchen. I already have one for one entry way, just need another one for the other side. Miss Rosie is going to be in there at night (and yeah, she isn't going to like it) but at least we aren't accidentally stepping in it!

Went to Lane Bryant yesterday, didn't find anything I wanted to pay that much money for. Found a Mother/Daughter shopping duo and gave them my coupons, they were thrilled.
I did find a dress at Marshalls, that I may be able to use at my husband's Christmas party and at the weight loss surgery support group's Christmas party. It's a black sleeveless dress with a matching black jacket. My daughter (the critic) loved it on me. The only problem is, hubbies Christmas party is in St. Lucia and I don't know if it will be too warm to wear this dress, it's made out of a velvet material. I could take the jacket off, but because of my flappy arms I would NOT do that. Oh well, I must think about it.
Gee, the sniper struck again. The idiot has now struck in my hometown, Manassas, VA and hubbies hometown, Falls Church, VA. I wish they could stop the madman, my relatives say they try to lead their lives as normal, but it is really hard.
On that happy note, I'll say have a great day all.
This is a week from he!! and I am up to my eyebrows in projects, at home and at work, I have to make snacks for the boys classes on Friday and soccer treats for the end of the season parties. plus work concession stand and put up a school display.
Whew! Still gotta post to keep my sanity and my committment to the BSS camp.
L ~ OHhhh, Sumatra, Bold flavor! My favorite coffee! Do you ever have an expensive bottle of perfume that you save for special times, well Sumatra is my expensive perfume that I savor on special days or on days when I need some pampering. Thanks for sharing, I will have another cup PLEASE!
Jiff ~ so very glad to see your post, I would certainly love to be there to do some hand holding if you need surgery. So sorry about work. Glad to hear you dm is interacting so well.

Pooky, Have you considered a cage for the little one. That is how we housebroke our dogs. No doggie mines in the house. Because they are confined to a cage they do not want to mess where they sleep, so they learn to "hold it." At first it seemed cruel to me, but my Kudo found comfort in his space and we had no accidents to discover on the floor. Plus he never had the opportunity to chew on furniture and other things.
Ruth, I think that we will be turning on our furnace soon. It always scares me to turn it on for some reason.
Good morning everybody! Long time no see, and I've missed you! My life has been upside down with a sick son, stressed out work life, house that needs organizing, the list goes on! I've been so screwed up that I didn't even make it one day last week taking all my medicine. I seemed to forget one pill or another every day.
Which reminds me, I need to refill my pill container.
Off to eat breakfast and get ready for work. I'll be back by here if I get ready in time. Otherwise, I'll be catching up tonight.
Hello everyone. Missed work again today. DD missed school again today. She may fail in the first 9 weeks due to absences! Not really, but she only went 1 day last week. Guess what we have? That dreaded stomach virus that laid my sister up in the hospital last week. Seems it's running rampant through our community, and we are the lucky recipients! YAY!!!!!
Anyway, I'm glad to see everyone posting, and believe me, I read them all. I just can't sit here long enough to reply! Hope you all have a great day, and avoid the sickies! Talk to you later.

I had a great anniversary yesterday and then slept until 11 am today...I will now go retrieve my children from gramma's house and get organized for back to school tomorrow.

Why can't people keep appointments? The pump guy that I talked to yesterday never showed up or EVEN CALLED today! I left him 3 messages, no answer. He better have a really good excuse! Hey, Ruth, could you send one of your dependable lads?
Anyway, since Saturday I have not had a bubble bath, and boy do I miss them! It's not the same with a bottle of water and a cloth, know what I mean?? Anyway, I have to find some other way to relax from now on. I'm off to bed, so talk to you in the morning!
